WARSHIPS in CUBA!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and warm (71 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 23 robins, 9 geese, 6 doves, 5 deer, a blackbird, a bunny and a crow! Thank You, Jesus!

This recent headline, from Fox News.com, got my attention this morning: “Putin’s fleet of warships is direct warning to Biden, experts say.”

In the article, Anders Hagstrom reported: “A fleet of warships entered Cuban waters on Wednesday as they prepare to hold military drills in the Caribbean. The deployment is likely a warning to President Biden after he gave approval for Ukrainian forces to strike some targets within Russia using U.S. weaponry, according to Rebekah Koffler, strategic intelligence analyst and author of ‘Putin’s Playbook.’ Russian President Vladimir Putin is telling Washington, ‘we can touch you,’ Koffler said.

Hagstrom continued: “Putin wants to be close to the U.S. homeland at this time when the Russia-Ukraine crisis is on a highly escalatory trajectory – given Biden’s authorization to Ukraine. If something goes wrong and Ukraine strikes critical targets in Russia close to major cities, the Russian military can enable the Cubans to strike targets inside the U.S. or strike U.S. interests,” she said.” All I (Doug) can say is: “Stay tuned and watch to see if these “rumors of war” turn into a “war.”

And, let me also remind you of the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 where, at sometime in the future, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel to “capture spoil, to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, cattle and goods and to capture great spoil” with, perhaps, only a mild protest I believe (and I could be wrong) from Europe and the United States. What we do know for sure is that the Lord God Himself will come to Israel’s defense and destroy the invaders (Russia and her allies) which you can read about in Ezekiel 38:18-39:29. So, stay tuned! And, if you are a believer in Jesus, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. THE CONTINUING RUMORS!

Good morning, blog readers, from mostly sunny and warm (85 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 13 robins, a deer, some lightning off in the distance and heard two bullfrogs!

This morning-headline from Fox News.com, once again, got my attention: “Putin’s fleet of warships is direct warning to Biden, experts say.”

Let me remind you that, according to Bible prophecy, particularly Ezekiel 38-39, at some time in the future when Israel is living in peace (certainly not now), Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel to “capture a spoil of goods” from the Israelis, only to have the Lord God Himself intervene and destroy this massive army. I can’t wait. But, wait I must and so must you, until the God-appointed time. And, let me add that no country, including the USA, goes to Israel’s defense when Russia and her allies invade Israel which says to me either the USA has been destroyed or weakened which is certainly what we are seeing now.

Yes, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, He is coming! Are you ready? If you are, then keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. GOG of MAGOG?

Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cool (37 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 6 deer, a plane, a police officer and the heavens declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from the AP (Associated Press), got my attention this morning: “Putin warns again that Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons if its sovereignty is threatened.”

In the article, the AP staff reported: “President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons if it’s sovereignty or independence is threatened, issuing another blunt warning to the West just days ahead of an election in which he’s all but certain to win another six-year term.

The Russian leader has repeatedly talked about his readiness to use nuclear weapons since invading Ukraine in February 2022. The most recent such threat came in his ‘state-of-the-nation address last month when he warned the West that deepening its involvement in the fighting in Ukraine would risk a nuclear war.

Asked if he has ever considered using battlefield nuclear weapons in Ukraine, Putin responded that there has been no need for that. Still, the remarks appeared to be a message to the West that he is prepared to use all means to protect his gains there. In an apparent reference to NATO allies, he also declared that ‘the nations that say they have no red lines regarding Russia should realize that Russia won’t have any red lines regarding them either.”

Let me remind you that the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 is about a Russian leader (Gog of Magog) who leaves a war (Ukraine?) and, along with Iran (Persia), Libya (Put), Turkey (Togarmah), Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, and possibly Germany (Gomer) and other Jew-haters, invade an unsuspecting Israel at a time when she is living in peace (certainly not today or anytime soon) “to capture spoil and to seize plunder” from the Israelis (Ezekiel 38:8-12). The result: The Lord God Himself comes to Israel’s defense, destroys her enemies and restores Israel (Ezekiel 38:18-39:29). MORE RUMORS of WAR!

This morning-headline from Breitbart was chilling: “Nuclear Threat: Russia Will Drop ‘Entire Arsenal’ On London, Washington If It Doesn’t Win Ukraine War!”

In the 2/19/24 article by Oliver JJ Lane, he wrote: “Top Putin Ally warns West of striving for a Ukrainian victory, warning that would lead to nuclear strikes on Kiev, Berlin, London, Washington, as well as an apocalyptic civil war in Russia with ‘tens of millions’ dead.”

Deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, who was also formerly the Prime Minister and President of Russia in service to Vladimir Putin, has threatened western capitals with the ‘entire strategic arsenal’ of Russian nuclear weapons. Medvedev, for whom absolutely no slight is too small to necessitate a nuclear response, was speaking of Ukraine’s hope to retake its U.N.-recognized national territory which in some cases have been occupied by Russia for very close to ten years.”

Then, there was this headline from today’s Times of Israel staff: “Israel Air Force drilled ‘massive attack’ on Iran’ in presence of US officer.” In the article, the TOI staff reported: “A US official attended a classified Israel Air Force drill simulating a ‘massive attack’ on Iran’s nuclear program that was held two weeks ago, according to a Tuesday report. The drill involved dozens of jets and included various scenarios, including mid-air refueling, long range strikes and responses to anti-aircraft missiles.”

I find it interesting, but not surprising, that Russia, Iran and Israel are all mentioned in these stories, much like what has been prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39. It is also interesting to note that, in Revelation 6:7, 8, John prophesied: “When the Lamb (Jesus) broke the fourth seal, I head the voice of the fourth living creature saying, ‘Come.; I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.”

Let’s just say there are 8 billion people in the world. The first battle would kill a fourth of the population or 2 billion people., leaving 6 billion people on earth. Then, in Revelation 9:13-18, John saw another judgment of God which killed another third of mankind which would be another 2 billion, leaving 4 billion people on the earth which would please those who believe we need to shrink or cull the population for it to be more livable and enjoyable. Scary stuff!

Personally I believe (not all Christians do) in a pre-trib “rapture of the church” and that we will not be around for these judgments. But, let us not forget that, as believers in Jesus, He will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). ANOTHER RUMOR to WAR?

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (29 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I did not see any of God’s creatures! Thank You, Jesus, that I was still being able to walk!!

This recent headline from Newsweek got my attention this morning: “Biden Warns US Military May Get Pulled Into Direct Conflict With Russia.”

In the article, Kaitlin Lewis reported: “President Biden warned that the United States is at risk of being pulled into a direct conflict with Russia if the Kremlin succeeds in its war against Ukraine. Biden’s statement follows Russia’s massive aerial attack across Ukraine on Friday. Kyiv air force officials said that about 110 missiles struck Ukraine, hitting hospitals, residential buildings and a shopping center. At least 31 citizens were killed in the attack and another 120 wounded, according to Ukraine officials cited by Reuters.

“Overnight, Russia launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine since this war began,” Biden said in a statement released Friday. It is a stark reminder to the world that, after nearly two years of this devastating war, Putin’s objective remains unchanged. He seeks to obliterate Ukraine and subjugate its people. He must be stopped.”

Lewis continued: “The 22-month long war has raised tensions between Russia and members of the NATO alliance, who have supported Ukraine’s fight through billions of dollars in military aid and weaponry. Support for Kyiv, however, has started to waver in countries like the U.S., where Republican lawmakers have blocked sending additional funding to Ukraine unless a deal can be reached that also boosts aid for America’s immigration system.”

Let me remind you again that Jesus, in Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7 and Luke 21:9, told His disciples then and now that, before His return: “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war.” And now, in addition to the Russia-Ukraine war, we have the Israel-Hamas war which has been joined by Iran, Lebanon, the Huthis and other Jew-hating countries in the Middle East. All I can say is “stay tuned” and get ready for more rumors of war turning into wars which, more than likely will involve the USA, perhaps, even on our own soil.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! The “signs” of His return are happening right before our eyes. And, if you don’t believe me, read Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. Then, watch the news to see if what Jesus said would happen, before His return, is happening. And, if it is, then agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). UKRAINE WAR: WHAT’S NEXT?

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (39 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

Dr. Joseph Mercola, in today’s article, posed the question: “Ukraine War: What Happens Next?”

In the article, Dr. Mercola wrote: “Lex Friedman interviews John Mearsheimer, an international relations scholar at the University of Chicago, about how the war in Ukraine will end. In the best case scenario, Mearsheimer predicts a ceasefire leading to a frozen conflict.

In the event of a frozen conflict, Mearsheimer believes it will be unstable, with Ukrainians attempting to weaken Russia’s position and Russians ‘going to great lengths’ to damage Ukraine and sow dissension within the alliance.

Mearsheimer states that if the U.S. continues to interfere in the war, the answer to whether the conflict will be solved is ‘definitely no … You have to get the Americans out. Mearsheimer believes there’s a ‘sliver of a chance’ to work out the war, but to get there Ukraine has to become neutral and completely sever all security ties with the West.'”

Now that I have given you Dr. Mercola’s and Dr. Mearsheimer’s ideas, let me give you a different idea of the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine war, based on Ezekiel 38-39 in the Bible where a “Gog of Magog,” that is a Russian leader, will, at some time in the future, perhaps even in our lifetime, be drawn away by God from one conflict (Ukraine?) to go to Israel to “seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods and to capture great spoil (Ezekiel 38:10-17).” And, just when it looks like Israel is doomed to be ravaged by this massive army, the Lord God Himself comes to her defense and destroys Russia and her allies (Ezekiel 38:18-39:29). Glory to God!

All of this to set the stage for the return of Christ to the earth to set up His kingdom. As someone once said: “God said it; I believe it; that settles it; let’s get on with it!” So, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
