Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (51 degrees) where, on my morning walk, in a steady rain, I saw: 2 robins and a raccoon! Thank You, Jesus!
This headline from Reuters, saddened me and may result in the judgment of God on America: “The Biden Administration confirmed on Tuesday evening that it would withhold a large shipment of bombs from being sent to its intended destination in Israel. An anonymous official told Reuters that the United States began a review of the bomb shipment back in April. had enacted such a pause since the war began in October.” As a result of that review, we have paused one shipment of weapons last week,” the official said, confirming that the shipment consisted of 1,800 units of 2,000-pound bombs and another 1,700 units of 500-pound bombs. This was reportedly the first time the U.S. had enacted such a pause since the war began last October.”
Now, you might ask: “So, what’s the big deal since we send bombs to Ukraine and, maybe even other “allies?” Well, the “big deal” is that, according to Zechariah 2:8, we read: “For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you (Israel), touches the apple of His eye.”
Now granted, Israel has been suffering consequences, even the judgment of God, for not accepting the Lord Jesus as her Messiah and Savior. In fact, we read in Zechariah 13:8, 9 where the prophet wrote: “And it will come about in all the land (Israel),” declares the Lord, that two parts in it will be cur off and perish; but the third will be left in it. And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say. “They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘the Lord is my God.'”
It is my opinion (and I could be wrong) that President Biden’s move to halt sending weapons to Israel may just be the “last straw” which could lead to the destruction of the United States! So, in the meantime, let us “pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).”
Before I head off to work, let me ask you: “Have you agreed with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believed He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16)?” If not, please do so right now. And, if you are a believer in Jesus: watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. Blessings & prayers, Doug (5/9/24)
