Good morning, blog readers, from sunny, windy and cool (47 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk under clear skies, I saw: the moon and the stars declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! Thank You, Jesus!

Last Saturday, I watched in amazement as 5 “red” heifers from Texas landed at Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel. And, while much of the world, including most Christians, paid little to no attention to this, perhaps prophetical, event, some of us, including me, were cautiously optimistic that we might be seeing Bible prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime. “How so, you might ask?”

Olivier Melnick, a Messianic Jew or Jewish believer in Jesus, explains in his September 19, 2022 article: “Has the Red Heifer been found, and if so, what’s next?” Melnick wrote: “To say we are living in exciting times is an understatement. World events are converging at such a high rate of speed that it is hard to keep up. For Bible students like myself, it is both exhilarating and concerning to see the whole planet moving towards a one-world government so quickly. I have been a believer for 39 years and since then, I have firmly believed in what the Bible says about the end times, the one-world government and a cashless society, but I always thought that it wouldn’t be in my lifetime. And yet, here we are. The next event on God’s timetable is the Rapture of the believers from planet earth (which I might add, most Christians do not believe in).

So, that brings me to the subject of the “red heifers.” Melnick comments: “The search for the red heifer has been going on for decades. The criteria for the selection of the ultimate red heifer are quite specific. The reason why a red heifer is needed is that Jewish people at the Temple must present themselves in a state of ritual purity before they perform their duties (Numbers 9:5-7).

According to Judaism, there isn’t one Jewish man alive who can claim that level of purity. And, since the temple no longer exists and the ashes of the red heifer are gone, it cannot yet be attained. Ritual purification continues to be mandatory for anyone within Judaism who has had contact with a dead body. The 113th commandment of the 613 found in the Torah (Genesis-Deuteronomy) stipulates that ‘the ashes of a red heifer are to be used in the process of ritual purification’ (Numbers 19:1-22).”

Melnick continues: “If they (the heifers) continue to grow spotless, without defect and without even one black or white hair, they will qualify for the special sacrifice and gathering of their ashes. … If indeed a kosher Red Heifer has been located and selected, this represents the last piece of the puzzle for the next Temple. Since all the implements have been recreated and the priests selected and trained, the Temple can be rebuilt, and the Levitical team can be purified. This validates the veracity of the Bible even further as if we needed more validation to believe that it is the infallible, inerrant word of God!” Note: We know, from Daniel 9:27, a future Jewish temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt and sacrifices will be reinstituted, perhaps as part of the Antichrist’s seven-year “peace treaty” with the many” (not all the Jews) in Israel which he will break at the halfway point, then stop the sacrifices, go into the temple and declare to the world he is God (II Thessalonians 2:3, 4).

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are exciting times for us. But, we need to study the whole counsel of God, including prophecy, so that we are not deceived by the false Christs, prophets and miracles Jesus said would come before His return (Matthew 24:4, 5, 11, 23, 24). Rick Warren once said: “Bible prophecy is none of our business” which is just what the devil wants you to believe. My hope and prayer is that, if you are new to prophecy, you will read Matthew 24, Mark 13 or Luke 21 which is kind of like “Prophecy 101,” so that you can discern the times and be watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This headline, from yesterday’s Technocracy News, sadly and prophetically, caught my eye this morning: “Flashback: Transhumanism Is the New Religion For Postmodern Times.”

The TN Editor wrote: “President Biden’s National and Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative pivots the entire government to support, advance and embed Transhumanism in America. If Transhumanism is a religion, then President Biden has just instituted a state religion, which is in direct violation of the First Amendment.”

The TN Editor goes on to say: “We are witnessing the birth of a new faith. It is not a theistic religion. Indeed, unlike Christianity, Judaism and Islam, it replaces a personal relationship with a transcendent God in the context of a body of believers with a fervent and radically individualistic embrace of naked, materialistic, personal recreation.

Transhumanist prophets anticipate a coming neo-salvific event known as “Singularity” – a point in human history when the crescendo of scientific advances become unstoppable, enabling transhumanists to recreate themselves in their own image. Transhumanism makes two core promises: First, humans will soon acquire heightened capacities, not through deep prayer, meditation or personal discipline, but merely by taking a pill, engineering our DNA, or otherwise harnessing medical science and technology to transcend normal physical limitations. More compellingly, transhumanism promises that adherents will soon experience, if not eternal life, then at least indefinite existence – in this world, not the next -through the wonders of applied science. This is where transhumanism becomes truly eschatological.

Most importantly, in the post-Singularity world, death itself will be defeated. Perhaps we will repeatedly renew our bodies through cloned organ replacements or have our heads cryogenically frozen to allow eventual surgical attachment to a different body.”

Doug: This is all demonic and nothing more than playing God and even thinking you can be God which has been Satan’s plan since he was created as an angel by God (Genesis 3; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:13-19) and will be the future Antichrist’s plan (II Thessalonians 2:3, 4; Revelation 13).

Ultimately, all the enemies of God will not only be defeated by God, but cast into hell for eternity (Revelation 20). Let me remind you that, if you are not a believer in Jesus, that is saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8, 9), then you are also on your way to an eternity in hell. But, there’s good news: “You don’t have to go there!” All you have to do is agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cool (61 degrees Wisconsin) where, on my first morning walk in three days, I saw a white poodle!

Whether you realize it or not or care, world leaders will be gathering at the United Nations this week for, what Richard Roth of CNN, calls “a time of great peril.” Roth reports: “The UN gang (me: an appropriate word) is finally getting back together in person, after three years of leaders speaking by video due to the global pandemic. But many leaders from the 193 UN member countries were in the United Kingdom for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, forcing their missions to scramble to reschedule speeches and rendezvous. Perhaps most prominent of the changes, US President Joe Biden will speak on Wednesday morning instead of taking America’s traditional speaking slot after Brazil on Tuesday. … Meanwhile Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky will be the only world leader to speak by video, occupied as he is by the war in his country. The Assembly on Friday overrode Russian objections to permit Zelensky to speak virtually.”

And, speaking of the war in the Ukraine, there was this headline from yesterday’s Associated Press: “Ukraine warns of ‘nuclear terrorism,’ after strike near plant.” In the article, AP writers Karl Ritter and Jon Gambrell wrote: “A Russian missile blasted a crater close to a nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine on Monday, damaging nearby industrial equipment but not hitting its three reactors. Ukranian authorities denounced the move as an act of ‘nuclear terrorism….’ While warning Friday of a possible ramp-up of strikes, (Russian President) Putin claimed his forces had so far acted with restraint but warned ‘if the situation develops this way, our response will be more serious.”

For a glimpse into the future, read Revelation 6:7-8 and 9:13-21 and you will see where a fourth and a third of the population of the world will, at some time in the future be killed by the judgments of God. So, despite what the UN does this week, it will never be able to bring “peace on earth and good will to men and women.” Only the Lord Jesus Christ can and will do that when He returns to the earth set up His kingdom which you can read about in Ezekiel 40-48 and Revelation19:11-20:6.

In my last book, “Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy,” I wrote a chapter on “False Christs/ Messiahs” and mentioned Bill Gates as a candidate, based on an article written by William Koenig in 2020: “Bill Gates – Messiah or Exterminator?” Koenig wrote: “Bill Gates has a strange image of himself. He sees himself as the Messiah who saves the world through vaccination and population reduction.”

Then, there was this recent (9/15/22) headline from Dr. Joseph Mercola: “How Bill Gates and His Partners Took Over the Global COVID Response.” In the article, Dr. Mercola wrote: “For anyone wondering how the world joined together behind the scenes to combat COVID-19, Politico has a disturbing investigation showing that just four groups took the power from the most powerful nations, and ran with it.

Politico reported: ‘What followed was a steady, almost inexorable shift in power from the overwhelmed governments to a group of non-governmental organizations. The largest and most powerful was the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, one of the largest philanthropies in the world. Then there was Gavi, the global vaccine organization that Gates helped to found to inoculate low-income nations, and the Wellcome Trust, a British research foundation with a multibillion dollar endowment that had worked with the Gates Foundation in previous years. Finally, there was the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, or CEPI, the international vaccine research and development group that Gates and Wellcome both helped to create in 2017.

What Gates and his pals got in return, Politico says, is “unprecedented access to, and influence of, the World Health Organization and the highest levels of government in countries around the world. Using their money and influence, these Gates groups are now lobbying the U.S. and EU to ’embrace the priorities for the next pandemic.'”

This reminded me of some of the signs Jesus said, in Luke 21:11, would occur before His return: “There will be great (8.0+) earthquakes and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” And, if Jesus is right (and, I believe He is), we will be seeing some of these in our lifetime. Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (64 degrees) Wisconsin where I was unable to walk because of being in quarantine for a scan tomorrow.

This headline, from the algemeiner, caught my eye this morning: “The ‘State of Palestine’ Is Just a Stepping Stone to the Destruction of Israel.”

In the article, Maurice Hirsch wrote: “For Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the creation of a ‘State of Palestine’ in the territories Israel freed in 1967 is just one stage towards the ultimate goal of destroying Israel. While the international community would often like to believe that forcing Israel to relinquish Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem (Israel completely left Gaza in 2005) will bring about the long-awaited Israeli-Palestinian peace, the truth is that the Palestinian leadership is not interested in peace with Israel. Rather, the Palestinian leadership actively seeks Israel’s destruction”

Note: Read Psalm 83 and you will see that this plot by Israel’s neighbors to destroy her as a nation was even prophesied about 3,000 years ago when Asaph wrote this psalm. And so, after all these years, nothing has changed – the enemies of Israel are still bent on “wiping her out as a nation that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” Read Jeremiah 31:35-37 and you will see that the Lord God Himself will never allow this to happen, though sadly, only one third of the Jews will enter into His kingdom (Zechariah 13:7-9).

Remember, Jesus told us to “be on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) which we can do by watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, there’s still time to become one by simply agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believing He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).

On another note: Over the last 24 hours, there have been: 7 “moderate” (5.1-5.6) and 2 “strong” (6.5, 6.9) quakes in or near Taiwan and 3 “moderate” (5.0, 5.2, 5.7) quakes in or near Japan. P.S. Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (64 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 8 deer, heard a dog barking and an owl hooting! Thank You, Jesus!

Yesterday in this blog, I wrote about the 5 red heifers landing in Israel whose ashes could be used in the temple sacrifices when they are reinstituted which they will be, according to the “seven-year peace treaty” the Antichrist will sign “with the many” in Israel (Daniel 9:27).

As I have said before, Jesus gave His disciples a number of signs to look for, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, which will lead up to His return: false Christs, false prophets, false miracles, wars, rumors of war, famines, earthquakes, apostasy in the church, an increase of lawlessness and the gospel preached to all the nations. And, while Matthew’s and Mark’s record of the signs are almost identical, Dr. Luke’s are slightly different, adding “signs in the sun, the moon and the stars” (21:25).”

And, right on cue, there were these recent “signs” in the news from EarthSky: “Spectacular fireball over UK last night, September 14” and “Sun Activity: Unexpected geomagnetic disturbance (9/15).

And, here are a couple of other headlines, from Technocracy News, which could be of a prophetical significance: “Executive Order: Biden Unleashes Transhuman, Genetic Modification Firestorm on America” and “WaPo: Customs officials Have Copied Americans’ Phone Data At Massive Scale.”

In the first article, the TN Editor reported: “Transhumanists and Technocrats in Big Pharma have cracked the U.S. government wide open to flood the bioeconomy with taxpayer money and labor to push the frontier of genetic modification of all living things and especially humans. Biden pledges not only funding but an all-of-government transformation to support this anti-human scheme from top to bottom. It also automatically blocks any agency or department from dissent.”

And, in the second article, the TN Editor wrote: “The entire content of your smartphone can be ‘extracted’ in under two minutes, with or without you permission or awareness, by sophisticated mobile forensics devices. Many law enforcement agencies are using these devices as government databases are expanded.” Sounds a lot to me like the Revelation 13 government of the Antichrist.

Scary stuff! But, as believers in Jesus, we are not to be afraid because He told us, in Matthew 28:20, “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, Jesus is coming! Are you ready and excited? And, are you watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes? This headline from Israel got me excited this morning: “Red Heifers Arrive in Israel!”

Here’s what I know: “On Thursday, September 15, 2022, 5 PM, 5 perfect, unblemished red heifers arrived in Israel from the USA. A modest ceremony was held at the unloading bay of the cargo terminal at Ben Gurion airport, where the new arrivals were greeted and speeches were made by the incredible people who have put their hearts and souls and means into making this historic/prophetic day become a reality.”

So, you might ask, “What is the significance of a red heifer in the Bible?” Gotquestions.org explains: “To meet the requirements of the Jewish law, a red heifer was needed to help accomplish the purification from sin – specifically, the ashes of a red heifer were needed. The red heifer was a reddish-brown cow, probably at least two years old. It was to be without ‘defect or blemish’ and to have never borne a yoke. The sacrifice of the red heifer was unique in the law in that it used a female animal, was sacrificed away from the entrance to the tabernacle and was the only sacrifice in which the color of the animal was specified. You can read about it in the Hebrew Scriptures (Numbers 19).

Now, before you get all excited about the “red heifer,” let me remind you there is still no Jewish temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. However, I believe (and I could be wrong) a Jewish victory over her Muslim neighbors in the “Psalm 83 War” could pave the way for this to happen. Another possible scenario could be, when the Antichrist signs a seven-year “peace treaty with the many” (not all) the Jews in Jerusalem (Daniel 9:27), he will allow them to rebuild their temple and offer their sacrifices for the first three and a half years, then stop them when he goes into the temple and declares to the world he is God (II Thessalonians 2:3, 4). Stay tuned!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming and, maybe sooner than you think, as the “signs” He gave us, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, are increasing in “frequency and intensity” like “birth pains,” as Jesus said they would in Matthew 24:8. So, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still an unbeliever, please, I beg you, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins (past, present and future) and give you eternal life. Here are three potentially “prophetical headlines” from this past week:

#1. Hamas leader Haniyeh in Moscow for talks with Russia’s Lavrov (Jerusalem Post, 9/10/22)

#2. Executive Order: Biden Unleashes Transhuman, Genetic Modification Firestorm on America (Technocracy News and Trends, 9/13/22)

#3. NASA probe ready to slam into an asteroid in landmark planetary defense test on September 26 (Space.com, 9/13/22)

#1. Asaph, in Psalm 83, prophesied of a future war between Israel and her neighbors which she will win. Then, Russia and her allies will invade Israel and be destroyed by God Himself (Ezekiel 38-39).

#2. In Genesis 3, Isaiah 14:12-17 and Ezekiel 28:11-19, we learn of Satan’s desire to be God which will continue with the coming of the Antichrist (II Thessalonians 2:3, 4) who, along with the devil and his followers will eventually be destroyed by Jesus (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15)

#3. The third headline made me think of the judgments of God which are coming upon the earth. Dr. Luke quoted Jesus as saying in his gospel (Luke 21:25, 26): “And there will be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

So, what does that have to do with this so-called “landmark planetary defense test?” Let’s look at Colossians 1:15-17 for a possible answer. Paul wrote: “He (Christ) is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (consist, KJV).” I like what William MacDonald had to say about this in his Believers Bible Commentary: “Not only did the Lord Jesus exist before there was any creation, but also in Him all things consist. This means that He is the Sustainer of the universe and the Source of its perpetual motion. He controls the stars and the sun and the moon. Even while He was here on earth He was the One who was controlling the laws by which our universe functions in an orderly manner.”

And so, it will be interesting to see what the Lord Jesus allows this probe or asteroid to do. As I have said numerous times: “Stay tuned!” My biggest concern is that believers and unbelievers alike are not taking Jesus seriously these days. If He is your Savior, then live each day for Him – watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please, I beg you, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This morning’s headline, from the Gatestone Institute, really caught my prophetical eye: “Iran and Russia: The New Alliance!”

In the article, Judith Bergman reported: “Significantly, Russia and Iran’s cooperation extends to the military and space fields, with Russia recently helping Iran to launch a new satellite into space. Iran’s Khayyam satellite ‘will greatly enhance Tehran’s ability to spy on military targets across the Middle East … (and give Tehran) unprecedented capabilities, including near-continuous monitoring of sensitive facilities in Israel and the Persian Gulf.'” The Washington Post, August 4, 2022.

And, to add insult to injury, Bergman adds: “Despite this acknowledged ‘profound threat’ emanating from the mutually beneficial alliance between Russia and Iran, the Biden administration nevertheless has been making dangerous concessions to revive the nuclear deal which would not only deepen the threat and benefit not only Iran, but also Russia.”

This article made think of Matthew Henry’s Commentaries where, at the top of each page, he gives us an approximate date of when the event(s) he was writing about occurred in history. So, you might ask, “What does that have to do with Bible prophecy?”

Well, let me tell you. According to Matthew Henry, the Book of Ezekiel, Chapters 38 and 39, occurred in 585 B.C. And now, you might be thinking, “Who cares?” Well, God does! For you see, some 2,607 years ago, the Lord God told us, in Ezekiel 38-39, about a future alliance which will be formed between Russia, Iran and a host of other countries who will, one day (perhaps soon), invade Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. And so, we should not be surprised this alliance has been formed, will invade Israel and be defeated by God, perhaps even in our own lifetime. Stay tuned!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! And, remember, He said, in Luke 21:28, “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” You might ask, “What things?” The answers are found in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 for starters. Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (56 degrees) where, on my morning walk in a mist, I saw: 2 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from yesterday’s Jewish News Syndicate, got my attention: “Gantz reveals 10 Iranian missile facilities in Syria.”

In the article, the JNS Staff reported: “Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz unveiled a map depicting more than 10 Syrian research military complexes, including the underground ‘Masyaf’ facility. Iran uses Syria’s Centre D’Etudes et de Recherches Scientifiques (CERS) facilities to manufacture advanced missiles and weaponry for its proxies.

Iran transformed CERS into production facilities for mid and long-range, precise missiles and weapons, provided to Hezbollah and Iranian proxies. In other words, it became yet another Iranian front – a factory for advanced, strategic weapons,” said Gantz, speaking at the annual Jerusalem Post conference in New York City.

So, what’s the big deal with this? Well, let me remind you of the prophecy of Isaiah 17:1 where the prophet wrote: “The oracle concerning Damascus (the capital of Syria). Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city, and it will become a fallen ruin.”

As I have said before, this has never happened before in the history of Damascus. Yes, she has been destroyed numerous times, but has always been rebuilt. So, at some time in the future, perhaps even in our lifetime, she will be destroyed never to rise again. And, I am thinking (and I could be wrong) as a result of an Israeli missile attack. Here’s another interesting headline from a recent Live Science: “Classified UFO videos would ‘harm national security’ if released, Navy says.” So, what are they: human or alien? Or, how about a third possibility: demonic! The devil is called “the prince of the power of the air” in Ephesians 2:2. Personally, I believe (and I could be wrong) that, before Jesus returns, the “spirit world” will be energized big time, even to the extent there will be, according to John in Revelation 12:7-9 “war in heaven between Michael and his angels and the dragon (Satan/the devil) and his angels/demons.”

Scary stuff! But, as believers in Jesus, we know and believe I John 4:4 which says: “greater is He Who is in me (the Holy Spirit) than he who is in the world (the devil)!” Amen? Amen! Thank You, Jesus!

Got a virtual meeting coming up with my brothers in the Wisconsin Fellowship of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. And so, dearly beloved in Christ, please continue to “watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes.” And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
