Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and warm (59 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw some lightning! I didn’t realize it at first, but learned from my “Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible” that the word “lightning” appeared 4 times in Revelation.

In Revelation 4:5a, John wrote: “And from the throne (of God) proceed flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. In 8:5, he also wrote: “And the angel took the censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar and threw it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.” Next, in 11:19, John wrote: “And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of the covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.” And, finally, he recorded in 16:17, 18: “And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne saying, ‘It is done!” And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder, and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty.”

Then, there was this interesting and, maybe prophetic, headline from a recent israelAM: “Hundreds of thousands of birds, including birds of prey, pelicans and storks, have begun arriving in Israel, as they migrate to warmer climates for the winter.” You might ask, “So what’s the big deal about that?”

I’m glad you asked. You see, in Ezekiel 38, when Russia, Iran, Ethiopia, Turkey, Libya and a host of other nations invade Israel “to capture spoil and to seize plunder” (verses 12 and 13), the Lord God Himself comes to Israel’s defense (verse 18-23). Then, we read, in 39:3, 4, “And I (the Lord God) shall strike your bow from your left hand, and dash down your arrows from your right hand. You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops, and the peoples who are with you; I shall give you as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field.” Did you get that? This time of the year (October) is when the “birds of prey arrive in Israel, as they migrate to warmer climates for the winter.” And so, I ask, “Could this be the time of the Gog of Magog invasion of Israel?”

Here’s another, perhaps prophetic, article: “Iran is rapidly expanding its ability to enrich uranium with advanced centrifuges at its underground plant at Natanz and now intends to go further than previously planned, a confidential U.N. nuclear watchdog report seen by Reuters.

Then, there was this headline from Elad Benari of Arutz Sheva in Israel: “Hamas delegation to visit Damascus (Syria) next week, reviving relations with the Syrian regime after a decade long rupture.”

Stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ! As things continue to heat up and point to Jesus’ coming, let us watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (45 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 3 deer and 2 dogs! Thank You, Jesus!

Recently, when President Biden mentioned the term “Armageddon,” I’m sure he didn’t know what he was talking about because, I am thinking, he doesn’t know his Bible. For, if he did, he would know that the so-called “battle of Armageddon” is mentioned in Revelation 16:10-16 where the apostle John wrote:

“Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl (of judgment) on the throne of the beast (the Antichrist) , and his kingdom became darkened; and they (the unbelievers) gnawed their tongues because of pain, and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their (evil) deeds. The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings of the east (possibly China and others) . And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon (Satan) and out of the mouth of the false prophet (the Antichrist’s “sidekick”), three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. (Behold, I (Jesus) am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”). And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.”

P.S. I also believe (and I could be wrong) there are a number of other wars which will take place before “Armageddon.” You can read about these in Psalm 83, Isaiah 17:1; Ezekiel 38-39, Revelation 6:1-4, 7, 8; 9:13-21; 12:7-17; 13:11-18; 16:1-12. Then, Jesus comes to defeat his enemies (Revelation 18) and to set up His kingdom on earth (Revelation 20:-10) before eternity begins.

So, let me ask you: “Do you know where you will spend eternity?” There are only 2 choices: heaven or hell. And, in order to get to heaven, you need to agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you are a believer in Jesus, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. These headlines and articles sadly speak of a world which is out of control and on its way to hell:

#1. Moderna, Pfizer Seek EUA Booster Authorization For Children (Technocracy News).

#2. Kyiv, other cities hit as Putin orders ‘harsh response’ to Crimea bridge attack (Reuters)

#3. War between Taiwan and China is “absolutely not an option,” Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen said, as she reiterated her willingness to talk to Beijing and also pledged to boost the island’s defenses with precision missiles.

#4. North Korea’s recent flurry of missile tests were designed to simulate showering the South with tactical nuclear weapons as a warning against large scale-drills navy drills by South Korean and U.S. forces, state news agency KCNA said.

In the first article, the TN Editor wrote: Moderna and Pfizer are again seeking Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA on ‘vaccines’ for young children who are not at risk for COVID in the first place. Trial data are already deemed worthless, meaning that the children are being used as guinea pigs. Thus extends the crimes against humanity.”

The second, third and fourth articles remind us of the “wars and rumors of war” Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7 and Luke 21:9 which I believe (and I could be wrong) may also be coming to this country as well.

Regardless of the above headlines, articles and whatever else may come our way, as believers in Jesus, we need to “fix our eyes on Him” (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. #3. Israel Preparing for Possible Escalation in North As Lebanon Talks Derail (Ynetnews.com)

#4. North Korea Launches 2 More Missiles Toward Sea After US-South Korea Drills (AP)

#5. U.S. Presidents Refuse to Protect the U.S. from North Korea’s Nukes (Gatestone Institute)

Remember, Jesus said that, before His return, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war” (Matthew 24:6; Mark 13:7; Luke 21:9). And, just as the Russian “rumor of war” to invade Ukraine became a “war,” so could these other “rumors” become “wars” as well, perhaps even in our own lifetime. So, stay tuned, as I believe we may very well live to see not only this prophecy of Jesus come true, but also the others He listed in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.

This headline, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, made me both sad and angry: “Why Doctors Are Lying to You.” In the article Dr. Mercola wrote: “If the COVID shots are as bad as they appear, why isn’t your doctor warning you about all their potential side effects, and instead, is encouraging you to get more shots?” Here are some of the answers:

#1. Doctors are afraid to speak out about COVID treatment and the dangers of the COVID shots because they can lose their ability to practice medicine if they challenge the mainstream narrative.

#2. Remdesivir is the only ‘standard of care’ drug approved for the treatment of COVID, even though it was found to be ineffective against the infection and had life-threatening side effects, including kidney failure and liver damage.

#3. Hospitals have enormous financial incentive to use this toxic treatment, which frequently kills the patient, as the US government pays a 20% upcharge on the entire hospital bill when remdesivir is used. Hospitals are also paid for the use of ventilation and for COVID deaths. Every COVID patient has what amounts to a $400,000 to $500,000 bounty on their head.

These are just some of the reasons why many doctors in the U.S. and around the world have refused to speak up about the dangers of the COVID vaccines. And so, I would encourage you to read “the rest of the story,” as Paul Harvey used to say, by googling “Dr. Joseph Mercola” and his paper on “Why Doctors Are Lying to You.”

Oh, and one more thing. There was an unusual “light” (4.4) earthquake yesterday near Lacomb, Oregon (population: 581) which is about 40 miles southeast of the Capital, Salem (population: 154,637). Stay tuned to see if this is followed by larger quakes.

This headline, from yesterday’s news, really caught my attention: “Biden: Nuclear ‘Armageddon’ risk highest since 62 crisis!”

In the AP (Associated Press) article, the staff reported: “President Joe Biden said Thursday that the risk of ‘Armageddon’ is at the highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, as Russian officials speak of the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons after suffering massive setbacks in the eight-month invasion of Ukraine.

Speaking at a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Biden said: “Russian President Vladimir Putin was ‘a guy I know fairly well’ and the Russian leader was ‘not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.’ Biden added, ‘We have not faced the prospect that Russia could use weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine as it has faced a series of strategic setbacks on the battlefield,’ though Biden’s remarks marked the starkest warnings yet issued by the U.S. government about the nuclear strikes.'”

This headline, from Monday, was also sobering: “Russian nuclear submarine armed with ‘doomsday’ weapon disappears from Arctic harbor.”

First of all, let’s take a look at Revelation 16:13, 14 and 16 to see where the term “Armageddon comes from. The apostle John wrote: “And I saw coming out of the dragon (Satan) and out of the mouth of the beast (the Antichrist) and out of the mouth of the false prophet (the unholy Trinity), three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.”

Dr. Henry Morris, in his book, “The Revelation Record,” wrote: “Megiddo is an ancient town about sixty miles north of Jerusalem, overlooking the plain of Megiddo on the west and the plain of Esdraelon on the northeast. This was the scene of many battles (Judges 5:19; II Chronicles 35:22), and would be the obvious location for a bivouac area from which to mount and assault on Jerusalem. Napoleon once said of this area: “All the armies of the world could maneuver their forces on this vast plain.” And, I would add; some day they will and, along with the devil, the false prophet and their armies be defeated by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19). Glory to God!

Yes, dear friends, there will be an Armageddon, just as God said in His Word. And, there will be other “end-time” wars which you can read about in Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38-39, even a war in heaven between Michael and his angels and the devil and his angels (Revelation 12:7-17) and others. And, as I have said before, I believe (and I could be wrong) we may even live to see the first two of the above wars.

As believers, let us “fix our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2) while we watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Him until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, you can become one right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). These “rumors of war” and “lies” got my attention this morning:

#1. Poland suggests hosting US nuclear weapons (The Guardian)

#2. North Korean warplanes stage bombing drill after two ballistic missiles fired (Reuters)

#3. More Women Than Men Reported Injuries After COVID Vaccine, Data Show (The Defender)

#4. COVID Jab mRNA Detected in Human Breastmilk (Dr. Joseph Mercola)

In the first article, Julian Borger reported: “Poland said it has asked to have US nuclear weapons based on its territory, amid growing fears that Vladimir Putin could resort to using nuclear arms in Ukraine to stave off a rout of his invading army. The request from the Polish president, Andrzej Duda, is widely seen as symbolic, as moving nuclear weapons closer to Russia would make them more vulnerable and less military useful, according to experts. Furthermore, the White House has said it had not received such a request.”

In the second article, Joori Roh and Chang-Ran Kim wrote: “South Korea scrambled fighter jets after North Korean warplanes staged an apparent bombing drill on Thursday, Seoul’s defense ministry said, as allied warships held missile defense drills and Pyongyang fired off the latest in a series of ballistic missiles.”

In the third article, Dr. Michael Nevradakis, writing for The Defender, said: “Data collected from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) V-safe app reveal that women and also recipients of the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines were disproportionately affected by adverse events following their vaccination.

And, in the fourth article, Dr. Joseph Mercola reported: “As recently as late September 2022, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Dr. Rochelle Walensky claimed it’s perfectly safe for pregnant and nursing women, and those planning a pregnancy, to get the COVID jab. According to Walensky, “There’s NO bad time to get a COVID vaccine.” Meanwhile, Pfizer’s data show the risk of miscarriage could be as high as 87.5%.

Walensky also continues to claim the COVID shots have no adverse effects on fertility, even though birth rates have plummeted since the rollout of the shots, raising alarm across the world.” Sadly, but prophetically, these headlines and stories fall into the “rumors of war” or “lawlessness signs” which Jesus spoke about with His disciples in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.”

All I can say to you is: “Stay tuned for more rumors of war which will turn into wars, along with more lawlessness and lies from “the father of lies, the devil (John 8:44),” along with the other “signs” Jesus gave in the three chapters above and you should see them increase in “frequency and intensity,” the closer we get to the Lord’s return. Next question: “Are you ready to meet the Lord?” Remember, He will either be your Savior or Judge. And, if He is your Savior, then you will be with Him in heaven for eternity. If He is not, then you will be in hell for eternity. So, please, if you haven’t already done so, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This headline, from today’s Washington Post, speaks volumes about the weakening of the United States and her allies: “Seoul’s reprisal blows up after North Korean missile success.”

Kim Tong-Hyung reported: “A malfunctioning South Korean ballistic missile blew up as it plowed into the ground Wednesday during a live-fire drill with the United States that was a reprisal for North Korea’s successful launch a day earlier of a weapon that flew over Japan and has the range to strike the U.S. territory of Guam. A Joint Chiefs of Staff official, who spoke on condition of anonymity during a background briefing, said the missile’s warhead didn’t explode during the crash and that the fire was caused by burning rocket propellant. The official said the missile fell soon after liftoff and that no civilian facilities were affected.”

How embarrassing! I’m sure our enemies (Russia, China, North Korea and Iran in particular) are all laughing hysterically today at our failures while they continue to successfully test their weapons to annihilate us. And remember, based on the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39, Russian, Iran and a host of other nations will, at some time in the future, invade Israel “to take a spoil,” with only a mild protest from perhaps Europe and the U.S., only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself which I believe (and I could be wrong) may even occur in our lifetime.

In the meantime, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us heed our Lord’s command to “stay on the alert” (Mark 13;33, 35, 37) and prepare our hearts and minds for tougher times which, I also believe, we can use as part of our witness for Jesus until He comes. These recent headlines really got my attention this morning:

#1. Russian nuclear submarine armed with ‘doomsday’ weapon disappears from Artic harbor: report (World Watch Daily)

#2. Nuclear-armed North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile further than ever before, sending it soaring over Japan, for the first time in five years, and prompting a warning for residents there to take cover (AP)

#3. The Coming War with China (Wall Street Journal)

The first two articles have to do with Russia threatening the United States and North Korea threatening Japan. The third article was sent to me yesterday by a good friend (thanks, Joe). In this article, I read: “In 2017, the U.S. military began running highly classified war games that simulated a potential conflict with China. Dozens of simulations were run. But, no matter how many times we ran these war games, the result was always the same: we lost. “And we didn’t just lose. We lost fast,” according to Air Force Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote. And, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said it was like ‘they knew exactly what we were going to do before we did it.” How scary is that!

And yet, let me remind you: Jesus said that, before His return, “you will be hearing of wars and rumors of war (Matthew 24:6).” And, while we can be thankful that these are still “rumors of war,” they could very easily become “wars,” as we have seen with Russia and Ukraine. Let me also remind you that Jesus said in the same verse, “see that you are not frightened.” Wow! Even the rumors themselves are frightening. But, we have to remember that our God is bigger than all of these threats and will see us through them no matter how bad they might be. We just have to take Jesus at His word, “And lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).”

And so, dearly beloved in Christ, let us keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. This headline, from the Gatestone Institute, caught my eye this morning: “Russia Will Use Its Ally, a Nuclear-Armed Iran, to Better Threaten the West.”

In the article, Con Coughlin wrote: “As one of the signatories of the original Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the flawed nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration, Russia, as well as China, will ultimately have a say in any new agreement that emerges from the Vienna talks. Rather than seeking to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Beijing and Moscow are more interested in forming an alliance with Iran to counter what they denounce as America’s unilateralism, and thwarting ‘draconian’ sanctions. Given Moscow’s open hostility towards the West, it is abundantly clear that the Kremlin wants to exploit the weakness of the Biden administration to ensure the negotiations provide an even more unsatisfactory deal than the one signed off by Barack Obama, in 2015, one that completely fails to address the very real threat Iran’s nuclear weapons will pose to the wider world. From Moscow’s perspective, having a nuclear-armed Iran, one that is Russia’s ally will greatly enhance its ability to challenge the West.”

So, why do I keep bringing up this Russia-Iran-China threat? Because Jesus told His disciples then and, I believe now, in Matthew 24:6, Mark 13: 7 and Luke 21:9, that, before His return, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war.” And, let me remind you that, earlier this year, Russia threatened to invade Ukraine and, months later, invaded Ukraine and is still waging war there.

And, let me also remind you, from the prophecies of Ezekiel 38-39, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations, will be drawn by the Lord away from war (perhaps with Ukraine) to Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself which we may even see in our lifetime. Stay tuned!

And, as I have said before, I also believe (and I could be wrong) that, after Russia and her allies are destroyed by the Lord, China, along with North Korea and other Asian countries could very well be “the kings from the east” (Revelation 16:12-16) who, along with the other enemies of Jesus, will march to Armageddon, only to be destroyed there by the Himself (Revelation 19:11-21).

Scary, but exciting, stuff for the believer in Jesus who, when the dust settles, will reign over the earth with Jesus for, I believe (other Christians do not), 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6) which will be followed by the “Great White Throne Judgment” where all the unbelievers of all time will be judged for rejecting Christ and be thrown into hell for eternity (Revelation 20:7-15) which will be followed by a “new heaven and a new earth” for all the believers in Jesus (Revelation 21-22) for eternity.

I can’t wait, but wait I must while also watching, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, my prayer is that you will become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
