Good morning, blog readers, from cold (24 degrees) and snowy Wisconsin where, on my my morning walk, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but did get a “honk” from a truck driver! Thank You, Jesus for the truck drivers!
Yesterday, I wrote about one of my favorite prophecies in Scripture (Ezekiel 38-39) where the Lord tells us that, at sometime in the future, “in the “latter years” (Ezekiel 38:8) or “last days” (Ezekiel 38:16) when Israel is living in peace and safety (Ezekiel 38:11), Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel “to capture spoil and to seize plunder” (38:12, 13) from the Israelis.
So, how could that happen today or in the near future since Israel has been surrounded by Muslim enemies whose main desire has been, since Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948 until today, is to “wipe her out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more (Psalm 83:2-8)?” Here’s my take on the subject: At some time in the future, when Israel is attacked by her Muslim neighbors, Israel’s “exceedingly great army will defeat them and open the door for the first time in 74 years for Israel to live in “peace and safety” (Ezekiel 38:11, 12). So, stay tuned!
Here’s a headline, from a recent New York Times article, which supports the idea of a future Russian-Iranian invasion of Israel: “Russia Launches a Wave of Iranian-Made Drones at Kyiv After a Lull” (New York Times).
And another: “Iran asking Russia to sell military ships, help build new designs: Israeli sources” (Breaking Defense)
And, one more: “While Putin readies nuclear missiles, Germany has run out of munitions and can only fight for 2 days (Brighteon). P.S. Some prophecy scholars have identified “Gomer” as Germany; others, as Turkey. My thought is that it could be either or both since Turkey has recently aligned herself with Russia and Iran and there are still Jew-haters from all over the world, including Germany.
And, speaking of Vladimir Putin, he continues to threaten the United States with a nuclear attack. Now, remember, the Lord Jesus will, one day, destroy Gog of Magog (Putin?) and his allies when they come up against Israel to “take a spoil in the latter years” or “last days,” according to Ezekiel 38-39 which I encourage you to read.
Yes, dearly beloved, Jesus is coming! And, before He comes for us, I believe (and I could be wrong) we may still be around to see some things we have never seen before. Are you ready? Am I ready? Let us be ready that, no matter what happens, we will be ready to serve the Lord Jesus until He comes.
And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please don’t put it off any longer. Simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Blessings, Doug (12/16/22)
