Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cold (11 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk with a fresh 5 inches of snow on the ground, I was reminded of that great and wonderful Scripture (Isaiah 1:18) where the Lord said: “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow.”

Sadly, and yet prophetically, the “rumors of war” continue. Here are some examples:

#1. “Naval Intelligence admiral: ‘Naive’ American public has a ‘China blindness’ problem” (“Naval” Warfare)

#2. “China Lasers Hawaii, Prepares for War (Gatestone Institute)

#3. North Korea threatens unprecedented action over allied military drills (Reuters)

In the first article, Justin Katz reported: “Rear Admiral Mike Studeman, the commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence, also pushed back on the idea the US should discontinue its policy of ‘strategic ambiguity’ regarding Taiwan.”

In the second article, Gordon D. Chang recently wrote: “This spy balloon’s eight-day flight path certainly suggests China is gathering intelligence for either a first or second strike on America’s nukes. Combined with green lasers collecting atmospheric data useful for a strike by a hypersonic glide vehicle on Hawaii, American defense planners should be alarmed. The real story is the Pentagon was caught off-guard by the recent intrusions. Only after the Chinese spy balloon penetrated U.S. airspace did the Pentagon go back over previously collected radar data and realize that there had been intrusions in previous years. Deterrence is being eroded as China’s Communist Party is fast mobilizing all society for war. The laser shower is another warning that war is on the way.”

And, in the third article, the Reuters Staff wrote: “North Korea threatened to take ‘unprecedentedly’ constant, strong responses if South Korea and the United States press ahead with planned military drills, accusing the allies of raising tensions in the region.”

Question: “Did you notice any similarities to previous articles I have written in the “rumors of war department?” Answer: “Both China and North Korea fall into the category of the ‘kings from the east’ (Revelation 16:12-16) who, along with the other surviving armies of the world which, I believe, does not include the USA, will march to Megiddo, only to be defeated and destroyed by the Lord Jesus Christ at His coming (Revelation 19:11-21). Stay tuned!

As I look outside and see the sun brightly shining, blue skies and the beautiful, white snow on the ground, it’s hard to imagine a more beautiful scene. And yet, one day, when the Lord Jesus returns to the earth, He will bind the devil for 1,000 years, bring “peace on earth,” set up His kingdom and restore the animal world to its Eden-like state (Romans 8:19-23). As the group Casting Crowns sing, “I can only imagine!” Then, Satan will be released from his prison and lead a final charge against Jesus and His people, only to be thrown into the “lake of fire (hell) for eternity (Revelation 20:7-10). Then, the so-called “Great White Throne Judgment” (Revelation 20:11-15) for all the unbelievers of all time for an eternity in hell. Then, an eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ for all the saints for eternity in a new heaven and a new earth for eternity (Revelation 21-22).

Question: “Are you a “saint?” You are if you have agreed with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (27 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 geese! Thank You, Jesus!

Recently, I recorded a “minor” earthquake near Catron, Missouri which is on the New Madrid Fault Line where, in 1811 and 1812, there were three guesstimated (before the Richter Scale) “major” (7.5, 7.3, 7.5) earthquakes which, according to some witnesses, “reversed the course of the Mississippi River, rang the church bells in Boston and led some to think it was “the end of the world!” Well, over the last 24 hours, there was a “very minor” (2.7) quake, 3 km E of Wilson City, Missouri which is about 30 miles northeast of New Madrid. Stay tuned!

Then, there were these, perhaps prophetic, headlines from today’s news:

#1. “China threatens ‘countermeasures’ against US entities after spy craft shootdown (Fox News.com).”

#2. “Naval Intelligence Admiral: ‘Naive American public has a China-blindness problem (Breaking Defense).'”

#3. “European Union, Biden Administration Embrace Palestinian Lies (Getestone Institute)

In the first article, Timothy Nerozzi reported: “The People’s Republic of China threatened Wednesday to take action against the U.S. agencies responsible for destroying and recovering one of its surveillance balloons. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Wang Wenbin made the vague threat during a press conference.”

In the second article, Justin Katz wrote: “Following a week where most of the country’s attention was transfixed on a high-altitude balloon deployed by the Chinese government, a top Navy intelligence officer said is is ‘unsettling’ how blind most Americans have become to the threat China poses.”

In the third article, Bassam Tawil reported: “By turning a blind eye to Palestinian lies, fabrications and antisemitism, the Biden administration and the EU are sending a message to the Palestinians that it is perfectly fine to continue demonizing Israel and the Jews. … The statement also totally ignores Palestinian leaders’ glorification of terrorists and the Palestinian ‘pay-for-slay’ jobs program that incentivizes Palestinians to murder Jews by rewarding the murderers and their families afterwards.”

Now, let me be clear, I am not rooting for one group of people over another “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).” The Scriptures are clear: We are all sinners who deserve to die and spend our eternity in hell. But, by the grace and mercy of God, we can all have our sins forgiven by simply believing Jesus died on a cross for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life. (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). And so, until Jesus comes, I will continue to pray for your salvation if you are lost and for your sanctification (maturity in Christ) if you are saved. Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cool (39 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I did not see any of God’s creatures today, but did see 9 deer yesterday which I forgot to report. Thank You, Jesus!

According to the USGS, over the last 24 hours, there were: 12 “moderate” (5.0-5.7) earthquakes in Alaska, China, Columbia, Indonesia, off the coast of New Zealand (2), the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (2), Romania (2), Tonga, Vanuatu and a “light” (4.8) quake, 12 km SE of Pahala, Hawaii which is just south of the Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island!

Jesus, in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8, told us that, one of the signs leading up to His return, “will be earthquakes in various places.” Now, I have a theory (and, keep in mind, it’s just a theory and I could be wrong). Here it is: Because there are generally “three trimesters” in a woman’s pregnancy, could it be that there will be “three trimesters of the “birth pains” or “signs” leading up to the Lord’s return?

For instance, we know, from Daniel 9:27, the Antichrist will “make a firm covenant” or “peace treaty with the many” (of the Jews) for seven years which, perhaps, will allow them to rebuild their temple in Jerusalem. Then, halfway through the covenant (3 & 1/2 years), He will break the covenant, stop the temple sacrifices, go into the temple and declare to the world he alone is God to be worshiped with the death penalty for all who resist him (Revelation 13, 14).

And, since we know from Scripture, there are seven years of the so-called “Tribulation,” (the last half of which is known as the “Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:15-21),” is it possible there could be a “first trimester of birth pains for 3 and 1/2 years before the beginning of the Tribulation? And, if you are thinking that would give us the “day or hour” of the Lord’s return, contrary to what He said in Mark 13:32, I am thinking not necessarily, since we would not know when the “first trimester” would begin.

What made me think of this was all the “moderate” earthquakes in today’s blog which, if I am right (and I could be wrong) will then lead to more “strong” (6.0-6.9) quakes, then more “major” (7.0-7.9) quakes and then more “great” (8.0+) quakes which John tells us about in Revelation 11:13 and 16:18.

So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This morning’s headline, from the Gatestone Institute, said it best: “China’s Balloon Reveals the Weaknesses in US National Security Decision-Making.”

In the article, Lawrence A. Franklin wrote: “If China perceives that the American leaders lack the resolve or that its national security decision-makers are divided, these failures can only tempt Chinese aggression against Siberia or Taiwan. After watching America’s debacles in Afghanistan and a week of hosting the balloon, China must be asking: ‘If not now, when?’

These reconnaissance flights seem but one dimension of a vast, multidimensional intelligence-collection effort by China. The most important lesson China might have learned, unfortunately, is that Washington’s bungled balloon performance could well be replicated if Communist China’s President Xi Jinping invaded Taiwan or other targets.”

Here’s another interesting and sad headline from Brighteon: “Sky Wars: Fake alien invasion psyop being tested on suggestible Americans.” In the article, the Brighteon staff reported: “U.S. and Canadian Air Force jets are using high-cost missiles to shoot down metallic birthday balloons while claiming they are defeating the objects. It’s all part of a massive psyop to try to imply that aliens are invading Earth’s atmosphere and that alien craft are being shot down by modern jet fighters.”

So, take your pick: China, aliens or a combination of both. I think I can make a case for both. As I have said before, the so-called “kings from the east” (China, perhaps North Korea, India and others) will, at some time in the future, march to Armageddon with the remaining armies of the world (Revelation 16:12-16), only to be defeated and destroyed by the Lord Jesus (Revelation 19:11-21).

And, as for the aliens, John wrote in verses 13 and 14: “And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon (Satan) and out of the mouth of the beast (the Antichrist), three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.”

Yes, dearly beloved, Jesus is coming! Are you ready? Are you excited? Are you watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus? If not, get with it, as time is running out. This headline, from the February 8th “Breaking Defense,” got my attention this morning: “Regulate military use of emerging tech before ‘Armageddon,’ new report urges.”

In the article, Jaspreet Gill wrote: “A new report from the Arms Control Association warns that without adopting such measures, ‘cutting-edge technologies will be converted into military systems at an ever-increasing tempo, and the dangers to world security will grow apace (swiftly).”

Gill continued: “The US and other nations risk global catastrophe if they do not adopt a new overarching framework to regulate disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence, autonomy, robotics, cyberweapons and hypersonic missiles, a new report from the Arms Control Association warns. A more thorough understanding of the distinctive threats to strategic stability posed by these technologies and the imposition on their military use would go a long way toward reducing the risks of Armageddon,’ according to the report.”

Question: “Is it possible to reduce the risks of Armageddon?” Not according to the Bible, as we read, in Revelation 16:12-14, 16: “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east. And I (John) saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon (aka, the devil) and out of the mouth of the beast (the Antichrist), and out of the mouth of the false prophet (his sidekick), three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty, to the place which in Hebrew is called ‘Har-Magedon’ which, get this, Napoleon once called ‘the ideal battlefield.'”

Interestingly enough, China which has been much in the news of late, could very possibly be one of the “kings from the east” who fight at Megiddo and will be destroyed by the Lord Jesus Himself when He returns to the earth to set up His kingdom (Revelation 19:11-21). You might ask, “What about Russia and the United States?” Well, according to Ezekiel 38-39, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will be drawn away from one battle (Ukraine?) to Israel “to take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. So, then, “What about the U.S.?” If, as some believe, she is included with “Sheba, Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages (Ezekiel 38:13),” all she can do is offer a weak protest to the Russian invaders and her allies and nothing more.

Now, for the good news: Jesus is coming! And, if you are a believer in Him, His death, burial and resurrection, you have a home in heaven and eternal life (John 14:1-6; 3:16)! And, as a result, you should be joyful and thankful while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, you can become one right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This recent headline, from Technocracy News and Trends, caught my eye this morning: “You are about to understand why I wrote: “Warning: WHO (World Health Organization) Names Transhumanist Dr. Jeremy Farrar As Chief Scientist For Global Health.”

In the article, posted by Dr. Joseph Mercola, he wrote: “You are about to understand why I wrote ‘The Evil of Technocracy and Transhumanism,’ i.e., they are both evil to the bone. The joint coup involves the entire takeover of global health in order to establish a global eugenics program to create Humanity 2.0. It is insane, but it is very real and speeding like a bullet train. Farrar will drive the world into Transhumanism and unbridled eugenics, with his unprecedented power at the World Health Organization.

Mercola continued: “Considering the WHO’s plan to seize control over health care decisions worldwide, starting with pandemic responses – a move that will essentially turn the WHO into an incubator for a One World Government or New World Order (NWO) – its selection of Farrar makes sense. He’s part of the technocracy and a eugenics insider already. If the WHO’s Pandemic Treaty get signed this year (and there’s every reason to suspect it will be), then Farrar will yield unprecedented power and influence, as member nations will have no choice but to adhere to his medical recommendations. What’s so concerning about this is his willingness to embrace reckless science (sound familiar?) and transhumanist pie-in-the-sky ideals.”

So, here we go again “trusting the science” instead of trusting in God and Jesus. I don’t know about you, but I am going to continue to follow King Solomon’s advice from Proverbs 3:5, 6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your (or somebody else’s) own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

All I can say to my brothers and sisters in Christ is: get ready for a rocky ride on our way home to heaven. While I do believe in a “pre-trib rapture of the church,” I also believe we will be around to see some tougher times. So, “stay on the alert,” as Jesus said to His disciples in Mark 13:33, 35, 37, and fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Him until He comes.

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (25 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw a record 18 deer! There might have been more as I couldn’t keep track of them as they ran across the street! Thank You, Jesus!

Today, as I went to the USGS “Earthquake List,” I saw an earthquake in a place I had never seen one in before: Norwich, Kansas (population: 444, as of 2020) which is about 30 miles southwest of Wichita and where there was a “minor” (3.2) quake. In addition, there were another 16 “minor” (2.5-3.0) quakes in or near Alaska (8), California (2), Hawaii (4), Montana and New Mexico.

And, according to my research of 18 years with the USGS, there are still only 4 states which have not experienced a 2.5+ earthquake” – Iowa, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Wisconsin. Stay tuned!

This will be short, but I still need to warn you about leaving this earth without Jesus as your Savior. Please know it is a matter of life or death, heaven or hell. So, please, if you haven’t already done so, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Jesus) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). These headlines, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, caught my eye this morning:

#1. OOPS. Fauci Admits COVID Shots Didn’t Have a Chance of Working (2/8/23)

#2. Bill Gates Makes 10x Investment on mRNA Vaccines (2/10/23)

In the first article, Dr. Mercola reported: “For more than two years Dr. Anthony Fauci stood in front of TV cameras and preached that the only thing that was going to stop the pandemic was a new vaccine. And, for that vaccine – actually an experimental gene therapy, although he refrained from calling it that – to work, everybody needed to get it and all the boosters the CDC and FDA kept coming up with.

Dutifully, millions of people rolled up their sleeves and took the shots, once, twice and more. And now, that the shots are causing heart problems like myocarditis and pericarditis, Fauci has quietly released an analysis in the journal, Cell, admitting with two co-authors that they should have known a vaccine probably would not work.”

Wow! All I can say is that, Dr. Fauci may get away with his lies and murders down here, but he will ultimately stand before a holy God Who will hold him accountable for his sins, unless he agrees with God he is a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believes Jesus died on a cross for his sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all his sins and give him eternal life (John 3:16).

In the second article, Dr. Mercola wrote: “In 2019, Bill Gates invested $55 million in BioNtech, which developed the COVID-19 shot for Pfizer; it’s now worth $550 million. Gates sold some of his stock at the end of 2022, when the share price was over $300. After reaping huge profits, Gates criticized COVID-19 jabs, stating they don’t block infection, aren’t effective against variants and have ‘very short duration.’

Gates’ motivations run far deeper than making money off shrewd investments; by funding WHO (World Health Organization), Gates is able to ensure that the decisions it makes ends up profiting his own interests and those of his Big Pharma partners. Gates, via collaborations with WHO, Anthony Fauci and others, is aiming to have absolute power to control pandemic declarations and responses worldwide.” All I can say to Bill Gates is: stop thinking you are the Savior and agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Note: As Christians, Jesus told us, in Matthew 5:44, we are to “love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us” So, then, let us pray for Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci.

Oh, and one more thing: Over the last 24 hours, there have been 24 (mostly minor) earthquakes in 6 different states, including a 3.0 quake near Catron, Missouri on the New Madrid Fault Line. This morning, in my research, I noticed two headlines from the Jewish News Syndicate which got my attention since so much of Bible prophecy has to do with Israel.

#1. Minor (3.5) earthquake rattles Jerusalem.

#2. Iran Shows off ballistic missile bearing Hebrew words ‘Death to Israel.’

Did you know that there was an earthquake when Jesus died (Matthew 27:50-54), when He was resurrected (Matthew 28:1, 2) and will be one when He returns to the earth (Zechariah 14:1-5)? FYI: The recent 3.5 (“minor”) earthquake in Jerusalem will pale in comparison to the “greats” (8.0+) which John wrote about in Revelation 11:13 and 16:18.

In the second article, the JNS staff reported: “At an exposition in the central city of Isfahan, on Wednesday, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps unveiled a purported ballistic missile with the words ‘Death to Israel’ written in Hebrew down its side. This came a day after Iran revealed an underground air force base called ‘Eagle 44,’ which is large enough to hold fighter jets.” Note: According to the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39, the Lord God Himself will destroy Russia, Iran and a host of other nations when, at some time in the future, they invade Israel to “take a spoil.”

And, let me remind you again, Jesus said, “there will be earthquakes in various places” as one of the signs leading up to His return which you can read about in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21;11, and in my book, “Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy” which is available on Amazon.

Yes, these are both exciting and scary times, as we await the Lord’s return. But, as believers in Jesus, we know He will “always be with us to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20) and His grace will always be sufficient” (II Corinthians 12:9). So, let us fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and keep them there while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy/sunny and cool (27 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer and a dog! Thank You, Jesus!

As many of you are aware, this past Monday, a “major” (7.8) earthquake rattled Turkey and Syria killing, as of this morning, 11,000+ people with the death toll expected to rise. And, since yesterday (Tuesday), this quake has also generated another 16 “moderate” aftershocks, ranging from 5.0-5.5.

Interestingly enough, Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8 that, among the signs leading up to His return to the earth, there would be “earthquakes in various places.” But then, get this, Dr. Luke (my favorite gospel writer) quoted Jesus as saying, in Luke 21:11, “there will be great earthquakes” before His return. And, get this, the USGS has designated any quake over an 8.0 as, drum roll, a “great earthquake!”

And, just so that you know, the USGS (the United States Geological Survey) has guesstimated that, since 1900, there has been, on the average, one “great earthquake” per year. Let me give you a sampling, from Geology Science, of the 5 largest “great” (8.0+) earthquakes ever recorded:

1. The Valdivia Earthquake (1960) off the coast of Chile: 9.5

2. The Great Alaska Earthquake (1964) in the Prince William Sound: 9.2

3. The Sumatra (Indonesia) Earthquake (2004): 9.1

4. The Tohoku Earthquake (2011) off the coast of Japan: 9.1

5.The Kamchatka, Russia Earthquake (1952) in the far east of Russia: 9.0

And, one more thought on these “great earthquakes.” I may have said this before, but I think it is worth repeating that the apostle John gives us vivid details of two, future “great earthquakes” in Revelation 11:13 and 16:18. Check it out!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! The “signs” of His return are appearing with more frequency and intensity like “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8). So, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.
