ISRAEL & SYRIA!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (35 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw and heard my first robin of the season! What a blessing! Thank You, Jesus!

This recent headline from the JNS (Jewish News Syndicate) caught my eye this morning: “Alleged Israeli airstrikes shut down Aleppo airport.” In the article, the JNS Staff reported: “Alleged Israeli airstrikes shut down the airport in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo early on Tuesday morning, according to Syrian state media. There was no immediate reports of casualties. The Israeli Defense Forces did not comment on the report, in accordance with Jerusalem’s long-standing policy regarding specific foreign operations. However, the military has acknowledged in the past conducting hundreds of strikes on Iran-backed forces attempting to establish a foothold in Syria.”

So, you might wonder, “If this has been going on for some time, what’s the big deal?” Well, let me point you to two Scriptures: Psalm 83:8 where “Assyria (modern-day Syria) is mentioned as one of the countries which desire to “wipe Israel out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more” and Isaiah 17:1 where the prophet wrote: “The oracle concerning Damascus (the capital of Syria). “Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city and will become a fallen ruin.” And, since I believe God is telling us the truth, I also believe both of these prophecies will be fulfilled, maybe even in our lifetime. Stay tuned!

So, let me ask you a question: “Do believe God’s Word is ‘the whole truth and nothing but the truth?'” If you do, then, I trust you have already agreed with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). If you haven’t, why not, right now, simply agree with God You are a sinner who needs a Savior and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life. And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven. But, in the meantime, fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. Blessings, Doug (3/9/23)

AMERICA in TROUBLE!

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy/sunny and cool (30 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer and heard the birds singing for the first time this spring! Thank You, Jesus!

These morning headlines are sounding the alarm that America is in big trouble:

#1. China becoming bigger threat to US as military strengthens (Gatestone Institute)

#2. A Warning to the U. S. From Brazil and Iran (The Dispatch)

#3. Trump’s Call For Building ‘Freedom Cities’ Mimics Technocracy (Technocracy News and Trends)

In the first article, “The military is using its influence to get a larger and larger share of the resources of the Chinese regime,” Gatestone Institute Senior Fellow Gordon Chang told host Maria Bartiromo on ‘Mornings with Maria’ Monday. The fact is that China is a surveillance state. It’s like a 1984 state, totally dictatorial,’ former Senator Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., also chimed in. And unfortunately, that’s made it more difficult for us to deal with the Chinese.” Lieberman made the reference to George Orwell’s social dystopian novel about the ‘Big Brother’ surveillance state as China prepares to boost military spending by 7.2% this year, up nearly $16 billion from 2022.”

In the second article, Emanuele Ottolenghi reported: “Last month, as newly elected Brazilian President Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva was preparing to visit President Joe Biden at the White House, a crisis loomed over the U.S.-Brazil bilateral relations: Two Iranian warships were heading to Brazil, where they intended to pay an official visit. The administration publicly expressed displeasure at the visit and Lula, a seasoned politician beginning a third presidential mandate, declined the ships permission to dock. Why mar an important meeting centered on condemning their right-wing nemesis, Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro, promoting a robust progressive agenda focused on fighting climate change, and demonstrating American support for Brazil’s aspiration to become a global power? But having pocketed important U.S. commitments, Lula then turned around and greenlit the Iranian ships’ visit. The ships docked in Rio De Janeiro on February 26 for an unprecedented one-week stay. This should be a huge embarrassment for Brazil. Instead, it’s the U.S. that is in a tight spot. Lula earned a successful meeting with Biden by tricking the president. And Brazil is getting away with it. Lula deliberately embarrassed Biden, making America look weak in the region at a moment when regional and global adversaries are challenging its leadership across the Western hemisphere. China, Iran, and Russia, all eager to diminish America’s standing and influence in the region, are taking notice.”

And, just when you think we’ve been embarrassed enough, this headline from Technocracy News appeared: “Trump’s Call For Building ‘Freedom Cities’ Mimics Technocracy.” In the article, the TN Editor wrote: “Building newly engineered ‘Freedom Cities’ from scratch would guarantee embedding the latest smart city technology used for surveillance and control. This would not make America great again, but rather would push it into the arms of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Great Reset and hence, Technocracy. Secondly, Trump’s call for a giant public-private partnership (P3) to accomplish these monumental building projects would shove local sovereignty into the hands of corporate oligarchs. Notably, the P3 concept first originated with the United Nations as a means of financing the progress of Sustainable Development, aka, Technocracy. For several years now, myself and others with an eye toward the future have been warning people to get out of the cities or risk becoming a ward of the burgeoning technocratic “beast system.'” Note: Check out Revelation 13 and 14 if you want to see what that will look like.

But, let me remind you, you don’t have to be a part of the “beast system.” All you need to do is agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Then, watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. Blessings with love, Doug (3/8/23)

RUMORS ARE FLYING!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (31 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

These headlines from this morning’s news are both frightening and, perhaps prophetical:

#1. China’s new foreign minister, Qin Gang, warns of conflict with US, defends Russia ties (CNN)

#2. Russia turning to North Korea, Iran for more weapons ahead of spring offensive, NATO head warns (Air Warfare)

#3. North Korea: “Any move to shoot down one of its test missiles would be considered a declaration of of war (Reuters).”

#4. What explains mysterious poisonings of schoolgirls in Iran (Aljazeera)?

Question: “What do China, Russia, North Korea and Iran have in common?” First of all, they are all mentioned as “players” in Bible prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39 or Revelation 16:12-16. Secondly, they are all destroyed by the Lord Jesus Christ (Ezekiel 38-39; Revelation 19:11-21).

And, just as Russia’s “rumor of war” against Ukraine turned into a war with Ukraine, so too, I believe (and I could be wrong), based on my understanding of the prophetical Scriptures: China, Russia, Iran and North Korea’s “rumors of war” will turn into war against the United States, perhaps leading to its downfall and or its destruction.

But, there’s “good news” for the believers in Jesus because He is coming for us! Now, some believers (like me) believe Jesus will come before the so-called “tribulation” on earth which Jesus described as “the worst time in human history” (Matthew 24:21, 22). Others believe He will come at the midway point of the tribulation. And, still others believe He will come at the end of the tribulation. Regardless of what you believe about this, my hope is that we can all agree Jesus is coming and, until He does, we have His work to do. So, let us continue to: watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Blessings with love and prayers, Doug (3/7/23)

ANSWERS in GENESIS!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (36 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in about an inch of slush, I saw: a deer! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline from Ken Ham in The Christian Post, really got my attention this morning: “Answers to moral, social questions can be found in Genesis.”

Christian Post Reporter, Ian M Giatti wrote: “Ken Ham says he has the solution for anyone confused about what Bible says about all sorts of topics: ‘go back to the beginning.’ That was the message from the Creation Museum founder and CEO when he spoke at the First Baptist Church in Dallas on why it’s critical for believers to believe and teach the foundations of the book of Genesis.

In his message titled, “Divided Nation: Cultures in Chaos and a Conflicted Church,” Ham said any social questions can be answered with, ‘You start with Genesis 1-11.’

The 71-year old Ham, a Young Earth Creationist, said the Church’s failure to expound the teachings in Genesis that has fueled the sharp rise in the numbers of people leaving the faith, including Gen Z, which is said to be the first post-Christian generation. “We’ve got major problems in our culture. We’ve got major problems in the Church right now.”

Ham said that the exodus is largely fueled by what he says is a misconception that all the various challenges facing the Church – from gay marriage to abortion to moral relativism in general – are different issues. They’re symptoms of the same problem,” he said. “You know what the problem is? They don’t have the right foundation.”

He turned to the pages of Genesis 2, where God announces the institution of marriage in which ‘a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

While marriage is defined in Scripture, Ham said, “the culture is redefining it – and Christians are tolerating it. God created marriage, he said. Not the Supreme Court justices or the president of the United States. God created it. Because under evolution, students are taught that man is an animal.” Ham said, “moral equivalency creeps in and effects our entire worldview – and soon, abortion can be defended as a morally acceptable practice. Get rid of spare cats, get rid of spare kids, what’s the difference?” He added, “Genesis tells a different story. Humans are special. We are made in the image of God. We’re different from the animals.”

Well said, Ken Ham. Now, if we would only believe what God said and not man. Question: “What do you believe? Do you believe that, though we are uniquely created in the image of God, we are sinners who need a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life (John 3:16)? If you do, you are on your way to heaven for eternity! But, if you do not, you are destined for an eternity in hell. The choice is yours. My prayer is that you will know and believe in Jesus as your Savior. And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven! Glory to God! Blessings and prayers, Doug (3/6/23)

WHAT IS HE THINKING?

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (30 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 3 deer who, from about 8 feet away, stared at me until I walked away from them! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning headline, from the Gatestone Institute, got my attention: “Israel Under Attack: Biden’s Coup to Get Iran the Bomb.” When I first read this headline, I was mad. But, then, I remembered that the Lord God Himself will, one day in the future, according to Ezekiel 38-39, destroy Iran and calmed down.

In the article, Guy Milliere reported: “US support for demonstrations in Tel Aviv isn’t about the future of Israel’s judiciary. It’s about handcuffing Israel while Iran gets the bomb. The Palestinian Authority’s ‘pay-for-slay’ jobs program, paid for by over $200 million fungible (functional) U.S. taxpayer dollars in funding reinstated by President Joe Biden, incentivizes and rewards the murder of Jews. Abbas’ Fatah faction boasted of carrying out 7,200 terror attacks in 2022 against Israel, while criticizing Hamas for not attacking Israel.”

Then, there was also this headline from the Gatestone Institute: “Biden’s Executive Order Nightmare: Government Will Track Every Dime You Spend.” Lawrence Kadish wrote: “Under this new digital currency, any transfer of funds to family, friends, charities or clients would be able to be tracked by the nation’s central bank that issued this virtual money. Big brother will be in your wallet every hour of every day. You will not be able to buy a stick of gum without a Federal Reserve computer knowing where, when, and to whom you just put down a buck. We should be rightfully concerned about inflation, energy independence, aggressor nations armed with nuclear weapons, and woke public policies that denigrate the very foundation of this great country. But these are jabs compared to the enormous destructive power of a digital currency ‘option’ slipped into Executive Order 14067.” Sounds to me a lot like Revelation 13. Stay tuned!

Question: “So, what are we, as Christians, to do in light of this new and scary information?” First of all, we are not to panic or be afraid. Our God is still on the throne; the Lord Jesus is still coming; and the Holy Spirit is still working to convict people of their sins and of their need of a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24). So, despite all this “negativity,” and “bad news,” we need to remember that we still have the “good news” of the gospel of Jesus Christ to share with the world while we watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, believe me, you will be eternally grateful! Blessings with love in Christ, Doug (3/5/23)

REASONS to GROAN!

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy/sunny and cool (30 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 6 deer! And, as an extra bonus: I just saw another 10 deer run by my window. Thank You, Jesus!

Let me ask you a question: “Are you groaning about the world we live in?” You should be. This reminded me of what the apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:18-23: “For I consider the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him Who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons (and daughters), the redemption of our body.”

Whether you realize it or not, we have a lot to groan about, as we wait for the Lord Jesus to come and take us to our heavenly home where all will be well. And yet, the following headlines from today’s news, give us much to groan about. For example:

#1. WEF Seeks to Control All Resources and All People (Technocracy News)

#2. Russia Turning to North Korea, Iran for more weapons ahead of spring offensive, NATO head warns (Yahoo News)

#3. Iran Regime Days Away from Nuclear Weapons (Gatestone Institute)

In the first article, from Technocracy News, the TN Editor reported: “To Technocrats, people ‘become nothing more than cogs in the WEF’s great trans-humanist, technocratic machine. This mechanistic thinking is at the root of Technocracy, which seeks to control all resources on the planet, including humans. As such, it is anti-human, anti-civilization (and I would add: anti-Christ). The mission objective of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is remarkably simple: the smartest, best people in the world should rule everyone else. In WEF parlance, their schemes of total supervision and behavioral modification will create a ‘sustainable’ future for humanity. Humans become nothing more than ‘things’ to be counted, shuffled, categorized, tagged and monitored.”

In the second article, “In a bid to build up weapons supplies for new offensives in Ukraine, Russia is counting on the support of North Korea and Iran,” according to NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg. He warned that “Moscow is reaching out’ to the authoritarian regimes for more arms, adding that China ‘may be providing lethal support.”

In the third article, Majid Rafizadeh wrote: “Thanks to the Biden Administration’s weak leadership, Iran has been able to make these major nuclear advancements. Unless the Biden Administration quickly emerges from its confusion, Americans may well have the questionable honor of Russia, China and Iran (and, don’t forget, North Korea) all aiming nuclear weapons at them at once.

Those are just some of the reasons to “groan,” as we wait for the Lord Jesus Christ to return. So then, let us “fix our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2), as we watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Him until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Blessings with love and prayers, Doug (3/4/23)

FOUR PERCENT!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (32 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from Wednesday’s “Christian Headlines,” sadly, but not surprisingly, got my attention:

“Only 4 Percent of Americans Hold a Biblical Worldview Post Pandemic: It ‘Altered’ Beliefs.”

Michael Foust reported: “The percentage of Americans who hold a biblical worldview fell to 4 percent during the pandemic, while the percentage of self-identified and born-again Christians who hold such a worldview also plummeted, according to a new poll. The survey by George Barna at the Cultural Research Center of Arizona Christian University found that the fallout from the pandemic apparently altered the worldview of Americans, including people of faith. While 6% of Americans, prior to the pandemic, held a biblical worldview, only 4% do today.” Note: Another reminder that we are living in a time of “apostasy” or “falling away from the faith” which Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24:10 and Paul, in II Thessalonians 2:1-4, as “signs” of not only the Lord’s coming, but also of the coming of the Antichrist.

Then, there was this recent, scary and, perhaps prophetical, headline from the Gatestone Institute: “Biden’s Executive Order Nightmare: Government Will Track Every Dime You Spend.” Laurence Kadish wrote: “Under this new digital currency, any transfers of funds to family, friends, charities or clients would be able to be tracked by the nation’s central bank that issued this virtual money. Big Brother will be in your wallet every hour of every day. You will not be able to buy a stick of gum without a Federal Reserve computer knowing where, when, and to whom you just put down a buck.

We should be rightfully concerned about inflation, energy independence, aggressor nations with nuclear weapons, and woke public policies that denigrate the very foundation of this great country. But these are jabs compared to the enormous destructive power of a digital currency ‘option’ slipped into Executive Order 14067.” Note: Sounds a lot like the government of the Antichrist. Check out Revelation 13 and see if you agree.

And, in case you’re wondering, there were 10 “moderate” (5.0-5.6) earthquakes and 1 “strong” (6.5) around the world over the last 24 hours. All of this to say: Jesus is coming! Are you ready? If you are a believer in Jesus, get ready for tougher times, keep Your focus on Him (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please know I am praying for your salvation. So, here’s what you need to do: Agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Blessings with love and prayers, Doug (3/3/23)

ORCAS & TRANSHUMANISM!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cool (29 degrees)Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer! Thank You, Jesus!

Question: “When you hear the word “orcas,” what do you think of?” Most people would probably say: “whales!” And, you would be right. But (and I didn’t know this), Orcas is also a small town of 300 (as of 2023) in Washington State and, get this, where there was a “very minor” (2.7) earthquake over the last 24 hours. And, one final note (with no extra charge for this one): It is also about 25 miles east of Vancouver Island where there is a major fault line. Stay tuned!

Here’s a sad and prophetical headline from yesterday’s Technocracy News: “Flashback: Transhumanism’s ‘Wail of Despair’ for Immortality.” In the article, the TN Editor reported: “This article compares the path of Transhumanism with Christianity, noting similarities and contrasts. The Transhuman’s Holy Grail is achieving immortality, but alas, without a truly human body. Such a post-human dream is a dead-end street because it strips away all that it means to be human.”

The TN Editor continued: “For those few readers who may still be unaware of this futuristic social movement, transhumanists seek to ‘seize control of human evolution’ by harnessing the naked power of biotech, cyber tech and computer tech, to engineer into themselves the powers of movie super heroes and, eventually, achieve life without end. … Over time, transhumanism’s goals grew even more ambitious and grandiose. No longer satisfied with merely attaining extraordinary capabilities, the movement shifted its primary focus to fulfilling the age-old dream of immortality in the material world, giving a new meaning to St. Paul’s triumphant declaration, ‘O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory (I Corinthians 15:55?'” Paul concludes by joyfully saying in verses 56 and 57: “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!”

Let me close with Paul’s challenge to the believers in Jesus in verse 58: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” I don’t know about you, but I needed to be reminded of that. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Love and prayers, Doug (3/2/23)

FIRST TRIMESTER QUAKES?

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (34 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but had a nice walk regardless! Thank You, Jesus!

As I have said on numerous occasions, Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11 that, among the signs leading up to His return, “there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” Then,” in Matthew 24:8 and Mark 13:8, He added these key words, “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs (pains).”

Jesus’ using this term was not only brilliant, but also meaningful, I believe, in relation to Bible prophecy and the second coming of Christ. “How so?” Well, let me tell you. When Jesus used the term “birth pains,” He was telling us that, just like a pregnancy, the “signs” leading up to His return, including earthquakes, would increase in frequency and intensity. And, the more frequent and intense the “signs,” the closer we are to the Lord’s return.

Those of you who have been reading my blogs for some time know that one of my favorite subjects is: “earthquakes” which I have been studying for some 18 years, thanks to the USGS’ daily “Earthquake List.” And, as a result, I have come to the conclusion (and I could be wrong) that, as we get closer to the Lord’s return, the “signs of His coming will increase in frequency and intensity , very much like a woman’s pregnancy.

For example, this morning, I took a look at all the earthquakes (2.5+) on the USGS site from this past week and found some interesting and, perhaps prophetical, information. First of all, there were a total of 103 (2.5+) quakes in 11 different states: Alaska (53), California (15), Hawaii (15), Texas (7), New Mexico (4), Idaho (3), Nevada (2) and one each in Colorado, Missouri, Washington and off the coast of Oregon.

Then, I counted the number of “moderate” (5.0-5.9) and “strong” (6.0-6.9) quakes and found there were: 23 “moderate” quakes in or near: Alaska (2), Argentina, Chile, China (2), Eastern Pacific Ridge, Fiji, Guatemala, Indonesia (3), Japan, Kermadec Island Region, Laikit Laikit, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Nicaragua, Russia, Solomon Islands, Tajikistan (2), Turkey, Next, I counted the number of “strong” (6.0-6.9) earthquakes and found there were: 5 in or near: Indonesia (6.3), Papua New Guinea (6.5, 6.2), Japan (6.0) and Tajikistan (6.8).

So, Lord willing, I’ll add them up again in a week and let you know what I find to see if they are increasing in frequency and intensity like “birth pains, as Jesus said they would before His return. Sadly, Alexandros Avramidis of Reuters reported this morning: “The death toll in Turkey from last month’s devastating earthquake has risen to 45,089, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said, bringing the total toll, including Syria, to about 51,000.”

Yes, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, He is coming for us to take us out of this wicked and evil world to the Father’s house (John 14:1-3) where we will be safe, healthy, blessed and serving the Lord Himself for eternity. I can’t wait. But, wait I must and watch, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes.

And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please, I beg you, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Blessings with love, Doug (3/1/23)

SONS & DAUGHTERS of ISSACHAR!!

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy/sunny and cool (32 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 10 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

And Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 24:6, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war. See that you are not frightened, but those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.” Wars are frightening, especially when certain leaders talk of using nuclear weapons against their enemies, including the United States.

Here are a couple of headlines from the “rumors of war” department which caught my eye this morning:

#1. White House: “Russia may provide Iran with fighter jets” (Administration)

#2. “Thanks to(President) Obama’s ‘Nuclear Deal,’ Iran Now a Major Arms Exporter” (Gatestone Institute)

In the first article, Brett Samuels reported: “The White House on Friday (2/24/23) warned that Russia may provide Iran with fighter jets as part of an expanding defense relationship between the two countries. John Kirby, a White House spokesperson on national security issues, told reporters in a virtual briefing that the U.S. has ‘additional information that Iran’s support for Russia’s war in Ukraine is growing.’ In return, Kirby said, “Russia has been offering Iran ‘unprecedented support,’ and the U.S. government believes Moscow may provide Iran with fighter jets. Iran is additionally looking to purchase billions of dollars worth of equipment from Russia, such as helicopters and radar.”

In the second article, Majid Rafizadeh wrote: “In the next phase of Iran’s dangerous development, export and proliferation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), it is attempting to set up drone assembly lines abroad, likely to expedite the process of weapons delivery to its allies. Moscow and Tehran are moving ahead with plans to build a new factory in Russia that could make at least 6,000 Iranian-designed drones for Ukraine, the latest sign of deepening cooperation between the two nations.

Iran’s regime has also been focusing on the proliferation and export of long and short-range precision-guided ballistic missiles. While ballistic missiles can be used for either offensive or defensive purposes, the sophisticated ones are mainly developed as delivery vehicles for nuclear weapons.”

Both of these articles speak of a Russian-Iranian connection which, whether you realize it or not, was prophesied about 2,600 years ago in Ezekiel 38:1-5. Note: Back then, Iran was called “Persia.”

As I have said before, we could actually live to see the prophecies of Ezekiel 38-39 fulfilled in our lifetime. P.S. I would encourage you to read both chapters to see the outcome.

Yes, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, He is coming! But, so is the antichrist! Question: “Do you know enough of Scripture to be able to discern truth from error, Jesus from Satan?” Jesus warned us, in Matthew 24:23, 24, “If anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ’ or ‘there He is,’ do not believe him. For false Christs, and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead (deceive, KJV), if possible, the very elect.”

May we be like “the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do” (I Chronicles (12:32) that we can discern the times of today and the future and know what we should do for Jesus each day until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, today would be as good as any to become one, simply by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven, if not sooner. Blessings with love and prayers, Doug (2/28/23)
