These headlines, from yesterday’s news, fit right into the “rumors of war” prophecy Jesus told His disciples to look for before His return in Matthew 24:6, and Mark 13:7.

Rumor #1. China flies 38 warplanes near Taiwan; 6 navy vessels in the area (Associated Press).

Rumor #2. How the West Is Helping Train China’s Military (Gatestone Institute)

In the first article, Huizhong Wu reported: “China’s military flew 38 fighter jets and other warplanes near Taiwan, the Taiwanese defense ministry said Friday, in the biggest such flight display since the large military exercise in which it simulated sealing off the island earlier in April. Naval vessels were also seen in the area as part of China’s long-running campaign of intimidation against Taiwan.”

And, speaking of “fighter jets,” Robert Williams wrote: “China is reportedly recruiting former air force pilots from the West to understand better how Western military aircraft and pilots operate. Up to 30 former UK pilots are believed to have traveled to China since 2019 to work as instructors in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).”

Let me remind you again, from my take on the Word of God (and I could be wrong), according to Ezekiel 38-39, the Lord God Himself will, at sometime in the future, draw Russia, Iran and a host of other nations to Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be defeated and destroyed by Him. Then, I also believe (and I could be wrong), that will open the door for the so-called “kings from the east” (Revelation 16:12-16) which I believe (and I could be wrong) will include China, and all the other enemies of God, to march to Megiddo where the Lord Jesus will defeat and destroy them when He returns to the earth to set up His kingdom (Revelation 19:11-21). Stay tuned!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are both exciting and scary times in which we live, as we could be the generation to see much of Bible prophecy fulfilled, including the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. So, let us “stay on the alert,” as Jesus told His disciples (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. Good morning, blog readers, from partly sunny/cloudy and cool (40 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 21 robins, 3 doves, 2 bunnies, 2 deer, 2 geese and a grackle! Thank You, Jesus!

Over the last 24 hours, there have been 2 “strong” (6.6, 6.0) and 2 “moderate” (5.5, 5.5) earthquakes south of the Fiji Islands and another 4 “moderate” quakes in Indonesia (5.7), the South Sandwich Islands Region (5.6), Nepal (5.2) and the Mid-Indian Ridge (5.0). By contrast, there were 13 “minor” (2.5-3.5) quakes in 4 different states: Alaska (7), Texas (3), California (2) and New Mexico (1).

I must admit I am somewhat surprised the USA has not been hit with larger earthquakes, a reminder that the Lord Jesus is in control and will ultimately judge those who oppose Him with, among other judgments, “great” (8.0+ earthquakes), as we see in Revelation 11:13 and 16:18. That reminded me of the prophecy of Isaiah 2:12-19 where the prophet wrote: “For the Lord of hosts will have a day of reckoning against everyone who is proud and lofty and against everyone who is lifted up, that he may be abased. And it will be against all of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan, against all the lofty mountains, against all the hills that are lifted up, against every high tower, against every fortified wall, against all the ships of Tarshish and against all the beautiful craft. The pride of man will be humbled and the loftiness of men will be abased; and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day, but the idols will completely vanish. Men will go into caves of the rocks and into holes of the ground before the terror of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty, when He arises to judge the earth.” This prophecy will be fulfilled in Revelation 6:12-17 where John wrote:

“I looked when He (the Lord Jesus) broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. The sky was split like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Then the kings of the earth and the great men and commanders and the rich and strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the presence of the Lamb (the Lord Jesus); for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming to judge the earth and to set up His glorious kingdom where, only those who have trusted in Him as their Lord and Savior, will be welcome. I can’t wait. But, wait I must and watch, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This morning’s headline from EarthSky caught my eye: “Coming El Nino will bring hotter ocean temperatures.”

Moninya Roughan reported: “Large swaths of the world’s oceans are warm. Unusually warm. The heat this year is likely to break records. Since Mid-March, the global average sea surface temperature is more that 70 F degrees C (21C), the highest since satellite records began. What’s going on? Climate change is the big picture.” I disagree.

Let me remind you again that El Nino is Spanish for “the Christ Child” Who is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Who will, perhaps soon, be coming to set up His kingdom on earth. But, before He comes He will also pour out His wrath and judgment on a sin-filled world which is getting more so by the day, the hour, the minute and the second.

You can read about one of His judgments in Revelation 16:8-9 where the apostle John wrote: “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed God, which hath the power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory (KJV).” Sadly, even when the Lord Jesus “turns up the heat” many will still not repent or believe they are sinners who need a Savior, that is, Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for their sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all their sins and give them eternal life (John 3:16).

So, what about you? Where do you stand with Jesus? Please know He will either be your Savior or Judge. My prayer is that He will be your Savior and I’ll see you in heaven. So, again, simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (33 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 17 robins, 7 grackles, 5 deer, a dog, a dove, a goose and a cardinal! Thank You, Jesus!

As most of you know, I love studying earthquakes because Jesus told us, in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8, “there will be earthquakes in various places” before His return. He also said that earthquakes and the other signs leading up to His return would be like “birth pains,” that is, increasing in frequency and intensity.

Case in point: Over the last 48 hours, there have been, according to my research at the USGS, 20 “moderate” (5.0-5.9) quakes in Ecuador, El Salvador, India, Indonesia (3), Japan, the Kermadec Islands (2), Mid-Indian Ridge, New Zealand (2), Papua New Guinea (2), the Philippines (2), the South Sandwich Islands (2), Tonga and the West Chile Rise. And, there were also 2 “major” (7.1) quakes in Indonesia and the Kermadec Islands. And Jesus said, “there will be earthquakes in various places,” like 13 over the last two days. Stay tuned!

Oh, one more headline of a sad and, perhaps prophetic, note from The Christ Post: “Less than half of born-again Christians believe Jesus lived a sinless life.” Leonardo Blair of the Post reported: “Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, fewer born-again Christians now say that Jesus lived a sinless life during His time on earth, and church attendance has dropped by some 15 million people weekly, a new study from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University shows.” And Jesus said, in Matthew 24:10, “at that time many will fall away (from the faith).”

Sign after sign that the Lord’s coming is near. And, while we will not know “the day or the hour” (Mark 13:32), I believe we will know the “season of His return,” based on Luke 21:28 where Jesus said, “But when these things (the signs of His return) begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” So, stay tuned, dear brothers and sisters and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. This headline, from yesterday’s Technocracy News and Trends, serves as a warning of dangerous things to come:

“WHO: The Most Dangerous Global Treaty Ever Proposed!”

In the article, the TN Editor reported: “If the World Health Organization’s treaty is widely ratified, the evil twins of Technocracy and Transhumanism will have triumphed over global health, and hence, over humanity. The Transhuman goal of creating Humanity 2.0 will be within reach with an endless flow of mRNA gene therapy injections. The WHO’s biggest contributor and influencer? Bill Gates.”

The TN Editor continued: “Human history is a story of forgotten lessons. Despite the catastrophic collapse of European democracy in the 1930’s, it appears that the tale of the 20th century – in which citizens, cowed by existential threats, acquiesced in the rejection of liberty and truth in favor of obedience and propaganda, whilst allowing despotic leaders to seize ever more absolutist powers – is perilously close to being forgotten.

Nowhere is this more evident than in relation to the apparent nonchalance which has greeted two international legal agreements currently working their way through the World Heal Organization: a new pandemic treaty, and amendments to the 2005 International Health Regulations, both due to be put before the governing body of the WHO (not the rock group), the World Health Assembly, in May next year.

As concerned scholars and jurists have detailed, these agreements threaten to fundamentally reshape the relationship between the WHO, national governments and individuals. They would hardwire into international law a top-down supranational approach to public health in which the WHO, acting in some cases via the sole discretion of one individual, its Director General (the Antichrist?), would be empowered to impose sweeping, legally binding directions on member states and their citizens, ranging from mandating financial contributions by individual states to requiring the manufacture and international sharing of vaccines and other health products, to requiring the surrender of intellectual property rights, overriding national safety approval processes for vaccines, gene-based therapies, medical devices and diagnostics, and imposing national, regional and global quarantines preventing citizens from traveling and mandating medical examinations and treatments.

A global system for digital ‘health certificates’ for verification of vaccine status or test results would be routinised, and a bio-surveillance network whose purpose would be to identify viruses and variants of concern and to monitor national compliance with WHO policy directives in the event of them – would be embedded and expanded. For any of these sweeping powers to be invoked, there would be no requirement for an ‘actual,’ health emergency in which people are suffering measurable harm; instead it would be sufficient for the DG, acting on his or her discretion, to have identified the mere ‘potential’ for such an event.”

Question: “Do you realize that the world is heading towards a one-world government, a one-world economy and a one-world religion, just like John outlined in the Book of Revelation?” All of which means that Jesus Christ and the Antichrist are coming! Some Christians (like me) believe Jesus will come first for His bride, the church, to meet her in the air and take her to heaven with Him (John 14:1-3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18). Then, the Antichrist will appear, sign a “peace treaty” with Israel for 7 years, break it halfway through (Daniel 9:27), go into the rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem, stop the temple sacrifices, declare to the world he alone is God to be worshiped (II Thessalonians 2:1-4) with the death penalty for all those who resist (Revelation 13) until he and his sidekick (the false prophet) are defeated by Jesus and cast into hell for eternity (Revelation 20:10).

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! Are you ready? If you are, then you should be watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, wake up and agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This morning-headline, from Prophecy Watch, really got my attention and made me mad: “Government Funded CBC Uses Taxpayer Money To Promote Sexualized ‘Drag Kids.'”

In the article, Jonathon Van Maren wrote: “Conservative Canadians have had the enjoyable experience over the past few days of watching the CBC, Canada’s state broadcaster, throw a lengthy temper tantrum at Elon Musk’s decision to accurately label them on Twitter as ‘government-funded media.’ The CBC insisted – ludicrously – that they are unbiased and that they receive less than 70% of their money from the government. Musk amended the label to ‘69%’ government-funded media.’

The CBC’s sanctimonious lecturing on the importance of their work has drawn some welcome attention to what, in fact, that work consists of. For several years now, the CBC has been laser-focused on promoting drag performances for children, running interviews featuring drag queens explaining themselves to children, ‘CBC Kids’ shows on drag, and dozens of articles insisting that Canadian parents who object to drag shows for kids are unreasonable bigots.”

Then, call me an “unreasonable bigot” who believes, from the Word of God (Genesis 1: 27): “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” And, I also believe, from Scriptures like Genesis 19:1-29 and Romans 1:18-32, that God will hold men and women accountable for sexual sin.

But, there’s “good news” for those who want to come out of his/her sexual sin. Paul wrote, in I Corinthians 6:9-11, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”

Don’t let anyone tell you: “You were born that way and that way you will always be, so embrace whatever your sexuality is.” That’s Satan talking to you and not God. Please know and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).

And, if you are a believer in Jesus, please know that His coming is getting nearer all the time. Recently, a dear brother in the Lord, asked me to explain the expression “the healing of the nations” from Revelation 22:2. Not sure of what that meant myself, I got out a couple of my favorite commentaries and found the following:

William MacDonald: “A figurative way of saying that they (the believers in Jesus) will enjoy perpetual health.”

Charles Ryrie: “These descriptive phrases indicate fullness of life and continuous blessing in the New Jerusalem,” that is, for the believers in Jesus.”

Keep in mind, Revelation 21 and 22 follow the judgments of God on the earth (Chapters 6-19) which include “wars and rumors of war, nations against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms (Matthew 24:6, 7), perhaps even another “World War (Revelation 16:12-16). Jesus described this seven-year period, as the “Tribulation,” the last three and a half years of which He called the “Great Tribulation” and “the worst time in human history” (Matthew 24:21) which will be followed by the so-called “great white throne judgment” (Revelation 20) when all the unbelievers of all time, including the devil and his side-kick, the false prophet, will be judged for rejecting Jesus as their Savior and cast into hell for eternity.

But, dearly beloved in Christ, there’s “good news,” Jesus is coming to judge the nations and set up His kingdom on earth which I believe (not all Christians do) will last for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-7). Then, after one more attack by Satan on the believers in Jesus, the Lord will cast him and his followers into hell for eternity which will be followed by a “new heaven and a new earth” for the believers in Jesus (Revelation 21-22). Certainly, as believers in Jesus, we have a lot to look forward to. But, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please know there is still time to become one, simply by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). In today’s EarthSky, I read: “The moon is now waxing larger in the west after sunset. And tonight it’s near our brightest planet, Venus, sometimes called the ‘evening star.’ Watch for the delicate Pleiades cluster, aka the 7 Sisters.”

Did you know “the Pleiades” are mentioned in the Bible? Job, in Job 9:7-9, wrote: “Who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, and the chambers of the south? Who does great things, unfathomable, and wondrous works without number?” Matthew Henry, in his Commentary of Job estimates the book was written about 1520 B.C. or about 3,500 years ago. And so, I find it truly amazing, but not surprising, that the Pleiades are still called the Pleiades after all these years.

This made me think of the song, “Indescribable” which was written by Laura Story and Jesse Reeves and sung by Chris Tomlin. Why not sing with me the chorus: “Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name, You are amazing, God. All powerful, untamable, awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim You are amazing, God.” Our God is truly amazing. Amen? Amen!

And, if you haven’t already realized this, please know: “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). And, as we believe in Him, His death, burial and resurrection (I Corinthians 15:1-4), we will not perish in our sins, but have eternal life (John 3:16). Please know I love you, am praying for you and hope to see you in heaven for eternity. Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (42 degrees) where, on my morning walk, I saw: 24 robins, 4 bunnies, 3 deer, 2 doves, a crane, a goose and got two “beeps” from a truck driver! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from Reuters, got my attention this morning: “Sustainable Switch: Climate Focus.”

In the article, Sharon Kamathi wrote: “Hello! Happy Earth Day! Earth Day this year follows weeks of extreme weather with temperatures hitting a record 45.4 degrees Celsius (113.7 Fahrenheit) in Thailand, and another punishing heatwave in India where at least 13 people died of heatstroke at a ceremony last weekend. It also comes as a new study by climate scientists shows that the world could breach a new average temperature record in 2023 or 2024, fueled by climate change and the anticipated return of the El Nino weather phenomenon.”

Did you know that the term “El Nino” is Spanish for the “Christ Child, aka, the Lord Jesus Christ?” So, I find it interesting and, perhaps prophetical, that things are “heating up because of the Christ Child!” In fact, the Scriptures teach the same thing as we get closer to His return. For instance, the apostle John wrote, in Revelation 7:4-10 of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will be preaching the gospel during what is known as “the tribulation” when the Lord pours out His wrath and judgment on the earth which, miraculously, results in the salvation of “a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb (the Lord Jesus Christ), clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation to our God and to the Lamb.'”

Then, in verse 16, John wrote: “They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat.” And, in Revelation 16:8-11, John added: “The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to scorch men with fire. Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him the glory. Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast (the Antichrist), and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds.”

And so, we see that God is in control of the climate, not man. And, according to His Word, He will be turning up the heat as part of His judgment on sinful men and women who refuse to believe in Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

So, the choice is yours: You can either “follow the science” of man which, by the way, didn’t work out so well in the pandemic and spend your eternity in hell or you can follow God by agreeing with Him you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy, rainy and cool (41 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, a couple of lightning bolts sent me back to my home! Thank You, Jesus, for keeping me safe!

Yesterday, here in Wisconsin, we had the largest hailstorm I had ever seen with lots of thunder and lightning. Scary stuff! But, nowhere near what the Lord has lined up for this world before He returns to set up his kingdom. Get this: In Revelation 16:17-21, the apostle John recorded: “And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it and so mighty. And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of His fierce wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstones, about 100 pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was so severe.”

Note: To date, the largest earthquake ever recorded was the great (9.5) Valdivia (Chile) earthquake of 1960 which lasted 10 minutes and triggered a massive tsunami with waves up to 25 meters (82 feet). The death toll was not certain, but was estimated to have been between 1,000 and 6,000 with about 3,000 injured. The largest U.S. earthquake ever recorded (9.2) occurred in the Prince William Sound region of Alaska. It lasted approximately 4.5 minutes and triggered a 27-foot (8.2 meters) tsunami which killed 139 people in Alaska, Oregon and California.

Remember, Dr. Luke, in Luke 21:11, quoted Jesus as saying that, before His return, “there will be great (8.0+) earthquakes in various places! So, stay tuned!

Sadly, but prophetically, there was also this headline from yesterday’s Brighteon: “Globalists are now targeting rice for food destruction, will starve half the population of the planet.” In the article, the Brighteon staff reported: “In their latest escalation of war against humanity, globalists (and the corporate media) are now claiming that rice is bad for the planet. They want to halt rice farms, just as they’ve halted meat farms across Europe. Rice feeds about half the world. Without it, billions will starve. This is the next step in the globalist plan for annihilation of human populations everywhere.” And Jesus said in Luke 21:11 that, in addition to “great earthquakes,” there will also be “plagues and famines in various places.” Sing with me: “It’s beginning to look a lot like the “Trib” or “Tribulation” which Jesus not only warned us about in Luke 21, but also in Matthew 24 and Mark 13. And, if you don’t believe me, check it our for yourself to see if what Jesus said about the future is coming truer and truer with each day.

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
