Here are a couple of headlines, I believe, of significance in regards to the Lord’s return:

#1. Study: 74% of Post-Jab Deaths Caused by the Shot (Dr. Joseph Mercola)

#2. Doubling Down on deterrence: US sends F-35s, destroyer to Gulf after Iran-linked ‘alarming events’ (Breaking Defense Daily)

In the first article, Dr. Mercola reported: “July 5, 2023, Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Harvey Risch, Dr. Roger Hodkinson, an expert clinical pathologist, and colleagues published a systematic review of autopsy findings in people who died after receiving a COVID shot on the Lancet journal’s preprint server. The autopsy review found that 62.5% to 73.0% of post-jab deaths were likely caused by the injection. Preprints with The Lancet pulled the study in less than 24 hours. The New England Journal of Medicine also rejected the paper, as did the Journal of the American Medical Association.”

In the second article, Ashley Roque and Michael Marrow wrote: “The Defense Department is sending F-35 fighter aircraft and a Navy destroyer, in addition to F-16s, to U.S. Central Command in the Middle East, in an effort to deter further Iranian actions at a critical waterway in the Gulf. “In response to a number of recent alarming events in the Strait of Hormuz, the secretary of defense has ordered the deployment of the destroyer USS Thomas Hudner and F-35 fighters to the US Central Command area of responsibility to defend US interests and safeguard freedom of navigation in the region,” Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh announced today during a Pentagon briefing.”

All I can say to these stories is, as my old friend, Arte Johnson, used to say, “verrrry interesting!! And, I might add, “very prophetical,” as Jesus said, in Luke 21: 9-11, “When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately. Then He continued by saying to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” And, remember, Jesus also said, in Matthew 24:8, but all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs (pains).” So, stay tuned!

In the meantime, as believers in Jesus, let us: watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. This headline, from The Times of Israel, got my attention this morning: “Hezbollah gearing up for showdown with Israel.”

Baruch Yedid reported: “In a series of strategic, political and military moves, Hezbollah is intensifying preparations for an imminent confrontation with Israel, drawing global attention and raising concerns about regional stability. Under the guise of the battle over an Israeli border, the Lebanese terrorist group aims to preserve its option of invading the Galilee, while also serving Iran’s interests in establishing a foothold in Syria.

Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, is promoting the deployment of his forces along the border, with over 30 observation posts in place there. Lebanese sources suggest that the group is readying itself for a prolonged conflict with Israel, which it believes is gradually accepting new rules of engagement set by Nasrallah.”

Now, if you have followed my blog for some time, you know that I, occasionally, write about what, I believe (not all Christians do), will be two future wars involving Israel which are recorded in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39. Bill Salus, in his book, “Nuclear Showdown in Iran,” lists Israel’s enemies in the Psalm 83 War as: “Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah and possibly Al Qaeda.” So, when I saw Hezbollah in the headlines, I wondered, “Could this be the beginning of a Psalm 83 war between Israel and her Muslim neighbors?” Stay tuned!

This headline, from ABC News, really got my attention this morning: “7.2-magnitude earthquake strikes near Alaska Peninsula, prompting brief tsunami warning.”

In the article, Kevin Shalvey, Amanda M. Morris and Kenton Gewecke reported: “A powerful 7.2-magnitude (“major”) earthquake struck the Alaska Peninsula late Saturday. Preliminary data placed the quake about 55 miles southwest of Sand Point, Alaska, the National Weather Service said. It struck at about 10:48 p.m. local time. In Kodiak, Alaska, sirens sounded late at night, according to a video posted on social media. The quake prompted the National Weather Service to issue a brief tsunami warning, saying there was a risk of ‘significant inundation,’ an alert that was downgraded to an advisory before being cancelled altogether early Sunday.” Today’s quake was followed by a “moderate” (5.7) aftershock.

Interestingly enough, the largest earthquake in the U.S. (a magnitude 9.2 on the Richer scale) occurred on March 27, 1964. It was the second largest quake in the world and killed 115 people in Alaska and severely injured another 40-50.

Keep in mind, Dr. Luke (my favorite gospel writer) quoted Jesus as saying, in Luke 21:11, “there will be great earthquakes,” as one of the signs leading up to His return.” Matthew and Mark simply used the word “earthquakes.” I mention this because the term “great” is used by the USGS to describe the largest of earthquakes (8.0+ on the Richter Scale). In fact, you can read about three of these, if you dare, in Revelation 6:12, 11:13 and 16:18 which John describes as the “greatest of all time!”

So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, keep an eye on the other “signs” Jesus gave us, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 to occur with frequency and intensity like “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8). This headline, from Prophecy News Watch, caught my prophetic eye this morning: “How the Israeli Air Force Is Preparing For Multi-Arena War!”

In the article, Yaakov Lappin reported: “In mid-June the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) completed a major two-week war exercise, dubbed ‘Firm Hand,’ which simulated a multi-arena war starting with Hezbollah and Lebanon and spreading to other locations, including Iran. The Israeli Air Force played a key role in the exercise, reflecting its centrality as Israel’s strategic arm.

In May, the IAF sent, for the first time, F-16 aircraft to Cyprus as part of the ‘Blue Sun’ exercise, which simulated war with Hezbollah. The drill also saw Israeli intelligence-gathering jets, C-130 transport helicopters, Apache gunships, and special forces on the ground.

The IAF, which is due to have two full squadrons of F-35 fifth-generation jets by 2024, and is due to receive a third squadron in the coming years, is preparing itself for the plentiful security challenges of the 21st century Middle East. Chief among these is the attempt of the Iranian-led axis to surround Israel with a ‘ring of fire,’ and plant missile and rocket bases in civilian areas all around the Jewish state.”

All of this may come as a surprise to some, but not to those of us who study Bible prophecy and believe that Israel’s Muslim neighbors will, one day, attack Israel to “wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more (Psalm 83:1-8),” only to be defeated by Israel’s “exceedingly great army” (Ezekiel 37:10) . Then, according to Ezekiel 38-39, when Israel is living in “peace and security (not now),” Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will be drawn by the Lord away from one war (Ukraine?) to “capture a spoil” from the Israelis. The result: The Lord God Himself will defend Israel and destroy Russia, Iran and the others with them. And, if you don’t believe me, read these passages for yourself and know, we might just see all the above happen in our lifetime.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are exciting and scary times in which we live. But, as believers in Jesus, we know, from God’s Word, Jesus is coming for the “saints,” that is, all those who have agreed with God they are sinners who need a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life (John 3:16). Then, we are to watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Jesus) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life. This headline, from today’s Prophecy News Watch, really got my attention this morning: “UN Prepares ‘Emergency Powers’ to Set the Stage for Global Government.”

In the article, Michael Snyder reported: “Under a shocking new plan that is scheduled to be adopted two months before the U.S. presidential election in 2024, all it would take is some sort of a major ‘global shock’ for the United Nations to literally take authority over the entire planet.

I realize that this might sound like the plot to Star Wars and the rise of Emperor Palpatine, but that is actually what is being proposed, and the Biden administration is fully behind this insidious plan. Unfortunately, the mainstream media in the United States is not covering this at all, and so most people have absolutely no idea that this is going on. An article that was posted in the Federalist first broke this story, and it should be making headline news all over the nation. But it isn’t.

Although there are numerous radical proposals included in the agenda, perhaps none are more important than the UN plan for a new ’emergency platform,’ a stunning proposal to give the U.N. significant powers in the event of future ‘global shocks,’ such as another worldwide pandemic.”

As I have said before, in Revelation 13, you will read about the coming Antichrist who, I believe (not all Christians do), will come onto the world scene after the so-called “rapture of the church,” sign a “peace treaty” with “many” of the Jews (not all) for seven years (Daniel 9:27) which may very well allow them to rebuild their temple in Jerusalem and restart their temple sacrifices, only to have him (the Antichrist) break the treaty halfway through, go into the temple, stop the temple sacrifices, declare that he alone is God to be worshiped with the death penalty for all who resist him.

Question: “Who are you looking for? Jesus Christ or Antichrist? I am looking for Jesus Who died on a cross for my sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all my sins and give me eternal life (John 3:16). My prayer is that, if you haven’t already done so, you will simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to not only forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16), but also a glorified body like His (I Corinthians 15:50-57) for eternity.

This headline, from yesterday’s FOX NEWS.com, really got my attention this morning: “China sends swarms of warplanes, navy ships to Taiwan ahead of annual invasion training.”

Then, there was this alarming headline, from Breaking Defense Daily, which was also deeply troubling: “US, NATO weapons stockpile ‘dangerously low’: USAF General.”

In the first article, Caitlin McFall wrote: “The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) deployed swaths of ships and warplanes toward Taiwan over the last two days as Taipai prepares for its annual defensive training aimed at countering a possible invasion. A reported 68 warplanes, including fighter jets and bombers, have been sent from China’s shores in the direction of Taiwan, with some even crossing the median line within the Taiwan Strait, which serves as the unofficial border that divides air and sea parameters between the island and mainland China which also sent some 38 warplanes and 9 navy vessels Tuesday morning, followed by another 30 planes deployed near the island by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday local time, Taiwan’s defense ministry reported.”

In the second article, Michael Marrow reported: “So we don’t have nearly what we had at the heart of the Cold War. Now you add that we’re giving a lot of munitions away to the Ukranians – which I think is exactly what we need to do – but now we’re getting dangerously low and sometimes, in some cases even too low that we don’t have enough,’ said, General James Hecker.”

Wow! Wow! Wow Wow! Wow! As I have said before (and I could be wrong), based on Ezekiel 38:13, if the U.S. is included in the “young lions of Sheba and Dedan,” then all we do is file a weak protest against this massive invasion from Russia, Iran, Turkey and a host of other nations who invade Israel to “take a spoil.” But, that’s okay because, when you read “the rest of the story (Ezekiel 38:14-39:29),” as Paul Harvey would say, you will see the Lord God Himself roaring onto the scene to defend Israel and destroy this massive army of unbelievers. Glory to God! And, no, God will not bless the USA (Lee Greenwood), as we continue down the road of judgment and destruction without Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

This recent headline, from Technocracy News, sadly got my attention this morning: “Unprecedented: Athlete Cardiac Arrests Killed 1,310 in 2.5 Years and Injured 574.”

In the article, the TN Editor reported: “NYU Professor Mark Crispin Miller has been chronicling sudden deaths and unexpected health events since the COVID pandemic and the mRNA therapy shots (COVID ‘vaccines’) started. Athletes and healthy young people with no known health issues, are falling over dead from sudden cardiac arrest after receiving injections. Many deaths showed no signs of impending collapse. As Miller notes, this is unprecedented in history.

Big Pharma propaganda has tried to minimize these statistics, claiming that heart failure is the leading cause of young athlete deaths. What they fail to explain is the manner of failure, namely, face planting with no prior indication of an impending crisis event. Most heart attacks are preceded by pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, etc. A victim might grab their chest, drop to one knee or fall over. Seldom is one just walking (or running) along normally and the lights instantly go out.”

Note: Let me (Doug) remind you again that the so-called “COVID-19 vaccine” is not a real vaccine, but an “experimental gene therapy” with no liability. What does that tell you? In other words, if you die from the “vaccine,” don’t expect any of the authorities to feel badly about it; they just made another profit. Oh, and, by the way, get ready for a bombardment of other “vaccines” which are already being prepared for your arms, much to the delight of the profit-makers. And, while I’m on the subject, let me tell you, in case you didn’t already know, there is a plot underway by the richest of the rich to depopulate the earth which goes against the Lord’s command for men and women to “be fruitful and multiply “be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth” (Genesis 1:26-28). Not that God means anything to them, since they often see themselves as the Saviors of the planet.

This headline, from Technocracy News, really caught my eye this morning: “UN Summit: AI Robots Could Run the World Better Than Humans.”

The TN Editor wrote: “The United Nations views AI as essential to accomplishing its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Why? Because AI can run the world more ‘efficiently’ and autocratically than humans. With AI, enforcement of SDGs would be ‘standardized’ for all, and would be thoroughly dispassionate (fair).

A panel of AI-enabled humanoid robots told a United Nations summit on Friday that they could eventually run the world better than humans. But the social robots said they felt humans should proceed with caution when embracing the rapidly developing potential of artificial intelligence (AI). And they admitted that they cannot – yet- get a proper grip on human emotions.

Some of the world’s most advanced humanoid robots were at the UN’s two-day AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland.”

All I can say is, read Revelation 13, and you will see that, not only is Bible prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime, but the stage is being set by God to allow the “unholy trinity (the devil, the antichrist and the false prophet) to rule over this world for a season, that is, until the Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth to destroy His enemies and set up His kingdom (Revelation 19:11-20:15). I can’t wait!

But, wait I must and so must you, if you are also a believer in Jesus, and watch, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. This morning headline, from the AP, got my attention: “After meeting Sunak, Biden heads for Windsor Castle to discuss clean energy with Charles III.”

In the article, Seung Min Kim, Jill Lawless and Chris Megerian reported: “President Joe Biden’s itinerary this week in Europe is dominated by the ongoing war in Ukraine and his continued efforts to rally an international coalition against Russia’s invasion of its neighbor.

The U.S. president’s initial stop on his three-nation trip is Britain, where he’ll meet with King Charles III for the first time since the latter was crowned in May. Biden did not attend Charles’s coronation, sending first lady Jill Biden instead, and Monday’s visit will be marked by a bit of royal pomp – including a royale salute, a viewing of U.S.-related artifacts at Windsor Castle and teatime for the two men.

Biden and Charles will also use their visit to bring attention to climate issues, hosting a forum focused on how to encourage private countries to engage in more clean energy efforts, specifically in developing economies. The royal visit is paired with Biden’s sixth meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for talks on a range of global issues, including the war in Ukraine. The two nations are among the most stalwart defenders of Kyiv, and the United Kingdom has pushed the White House to take more aggressive steps in providing military aid to Ukraine.”

Note: All I can say is that I don’t trust any of these leaders and their attempts at “world peace.” Stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and “fix your eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2) and keep them there, so that you are not distracted from the mission at hand – to reach the lost for Christ and to build up the body of Christ.

These two headlines, from today’s news, were not a surprise to me, based on the Word of God:

#1. Russia Will Attack Israel One Day, As Foretold in the Scriptures (One Path Research)

#2. Any Deal with Iran Requires Congressional Approval (Gatestone Institute)

The first headline references Ezekiel 38-39 where, at sometime in the future, when Israel is living in “a land of unwalled villages” (not today), Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will attack Israel to “capture spoil and to seize plunder (Ezekiel 38:1-13)” with only a mild protest from “Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all of its villages or young lions (KJV)” which could possibly be a reference to Great Britain and the United States. Note: If this refers to the U.S., notice she is no longer a threat to Russia. No surprise to me, especially in light of the second headline about Iran.

Richard Kemp reports: “When President Biden entered the White House, he eased off on sanctions and made it blatantly obvious he would do almost anything for a deal with Iran. The consequence has been uranium enrichment from 5% to 60%, and with some material up to 84%, according to IAEA suspicions – verging on the levels needed for a bomb.

Biden was so fixated on gaining a deal that he allowed Moscow to take the lead on international negotiations, and his plans even envisaged Russia gaining control of Iran’s highly enriched uranium. All of this as Putin has been threatening the West with his own nuclear weapons and savaging Ukraine while US taxpayers spend billions of dollars to counter him.”

Now, I can just hear some of you saying bad things about our President. But, let me remind you and me that we are called by God to pray for him and all who are in authority (I Timothy 2:1-4).
