Good morning, blog readers, from mostly cloudy and warm (64 degrees) where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 bunnies, a cardinal, a dog and a shooting star! Thank You, Jesus!

Here are some of the headlines, from this morning’s news, which got my attention:

#1. Syria says four soldiers killed in alleged Israeli airstrike on Damascus Times of Israel)

#2. Iran, Russia Evade Sanctions; Biden Administration ‘Funding Both Sides of Ukraine War’ (Gatestone Institute)

In the first article, Emanuel Fabian and the TOI Staff reported: “Israeli airstrikes targeted areas in and near Syria’s capital Damascus early Monday, killing four Syrian soldiers, the country’s official media said early Monday.” Let me remind you again that, according to Isaiah 17:1, we read: “The oracle concerning Damascus. Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city, and will become a fallen ruin.” I believe (and I could be wrong) we may just live to see this happen. Stay tuned!

In the second article, Majid Rafizadeh wrote: “The Biden Administration tried to deny it had issued another waiver to Iraq to pay $500 million to the Iranian regime. According to a report by the Free Beacon, the waiver was issued ‘a day after Biden administration officials denied Iran’s claims that the United States had paved the way for Tehran to receive $500 million.'”

The regime will most likely use the funds to further arm and assist Russia in its invasion of Ukraine, to brutalize its own citizens, to undermine US national security interests, to fund its terrorist and militia groups across the Middle East and to expand more deeply into Latin America.”

And so, DRI stands for Damascus, Russia and Iran, all of whom, I believe, are mentioned in Bible prophecy as participants in several of the “end-time wars” to come, all of whom will be defeated and or destroyed. And, if you don’t believe me, read Isaiah 17:1 and Ezekiel 38-39.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are scary times in which we live. Jesus, in Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7 and Luke 21:9 even warned us of “wars and rumors of war.” But, then, He added in Matthew 246b, “See to it that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.”

As Corrie Ten Boom once said for the believer in Jesus: “The best is yet to come!” which will include a “glorified body free from sickness and death, and a “new heaven and a new earth” for eternity. But, for the unbeliever, the worst is yet to come which includes an eternity of torment in hell with the devil and his angels (demons). My prayer is that you will agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24)and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).

Those of you who have been following my blog know that I like to study earthquakes because Jesus said, in Matthew 24:7, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.”

Now, I have a theory. And, keep in mind, it’s just a theory. In the next verse (8), Jesus then added: “But all these things (that is, all the “signs” He gave us in verses 8-14) are merely the beginning of birth pangs).” Now, as I have said before, based on what Jesus has said, these so-called “birth pains” will increase in frequency and intensity, much like a woman’s pregnancy, until a baby is born or until Jesus returns.

So, as I have been keeping track of earthquakes, I have noticed that, for the most part, many of the largest, daily quakes are in the “moderate” (5.0-5.9) range. For instance, over the last 24 hours, according to the USGS, there were 8 “moderate” quakes in 7 different places: Afghanistan, Australia, Chile, China, Indonesia (2), the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the Pacific-Antarctic Ridge. And, if my theory is correct (and it may not be), we will continue to see earthquakes increase in the “strong” (6.0-6.9) and “major” 7.0-7.9 categories” and, ultimately, in the “great” (8.0+) category leading up to the return of Christ. So, to the believers in Jesus, I say, “stay tuned and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (66 degrees) where, on my morning walk, I saw: 3 deer and a dog! Thank You, Jesus! This headline, from a recent EarthSky, really got my attention:

“Can we predict earthquakes now? No, but there’s news.” In the article which was posted by Dave Adalian, he wrote: “A pair of French researchers claim to have discovered the holy grail of seismology: a means of predicting major earthquakes hours before we feel them. If their discovery is real, will accurate and timely earthquake prediction become a reality? Possibly. It’s hopeful, because timely earthquake prediction would save lives and help protect critical infrastructure. So is it true? And, if it is, can we use this discovery to predict earthquakes?”

Let me just say that, based on the Word of God, the Bible, God Himself, in the Book of Revelation, actually predicts several “great earthquakes” which, according to the USGS, is anything over an 8.0 on the Richter Scale. For instance, in Revelation 16:17-21, the apostle John recorded: “Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!’ And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe.”

So, let me just say, in regards to “great earthquakes,” God has already warned us they are coming as part of His judgment upon a sinful world which, for the most part, has rejected the Lord Jesus Christ as its Savior and Lord and will, at some time in the not so distant future, experience His wrath, including “great” earthquakes, which will, ultimately, lead to an eternity in hell, unless, you agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23, 24), and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you are a believer in Jesus, get ready for tougher times by “fixing your eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. This recent headline, from the algemeiner, got my attention this morning: “The Middle East is a Powder Keg’: Israel’s UN Ambassador Warns of Hezbollah Provocations Along the Lebanon Border.”

Then, there was this headline from yesterday’s Jewish News Syndicate: “Hezbollah could take possession of Syrian chemical weapons.”

So, you might wonder, “What’s the big deal since Israel and her neighbors have been fighting with each other since Israel became a nation in 1948?” Well, the big deal is, if Israel goes to war with her neighbors, it could very well be the beginning of not only the Psalm 83 war, but also the beginning of what Dr. David Reagan has written in his book, “The Nine Wars of the End Times.” More of that tomorrow.

Here’s another, perhaps scary and prophetical, headline from yesterday’s Live Science: ‘Potentially hazardous’ 600-foot asteroid detected near Earth after a year of hiding in plain sight.” In the article, Brandon Specktor wrote of this asteroid: “considered a potentially hazardous asteroid – one of roughly 2,500 similarly classed objects that could cause widespread destruction on Earth should a collision occur. Luckily, there is no risk of collision with this rock at any point in the foreseeable future.” All I can say is: “Stay tuned and watch for all kinds of ‘signs’ in the heavens before Jesus returns to set up His kingdom on earth.” And, if you don’t believe me, check out Luke 21:25-26.

Oh, and more more important item: If you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). These headlines, from this morning’s news, are scary:

#1. Fresno Lab: China’s Operation to Exterminate Americans (Gatestone Institute)

#2. Hezbollah could take possession of Syrian chemical weapons (Jewish News Syndicate)

In the first article, Gordon G. Chang wrote: “There were on sight at least 20 potentially infectious pathogens including those causing coronavirus, HIV, hepatitis, and herpes. The lab was supposed to be producing COVID-19 and pregnancy tests, but the facility contained items inconsistent with that explanation. The seizures at the lab strongly suggest China’s regime is preparing to spread disease in America, undoubtedly in the months before a war. In all probability, it is from locations like this one where China will ‘fire the first shot’ in the next war.

General Chi Haotian, when he was China’s defense minister two decades ago, reportedly gave a secret speech advocating the extermination of Americans with disease. His plan was to clear out the hills, plains, and valleys of North America so that the Chinese people could settle in the vast spaces left uninhabited. Since then, the mass murder of Americans has been a popular theme in Chinese society. The Communist Party, which tightly controls discourse in the People’s Republic of China, permits and even encourages incitement to kill Americans.”

In the second article, Yaakov Lappin reported: “Iran is working to seize control of an extensive network of Syrian military industry facilities, collectively known by their French acronym of CERS, or the Scientific Studies and Research Center in English, according to a report released on Wednesday by the Alma Research and Education Center.

The Alma Center is a defense research group that specializes in security challenges faced by Israel in Lebanon and Syria. The report also warned of the possibility of Hezbollah taking possession of chemical substances present at CERS, which are being stored by the Assad regime, and using them to produce chemical weapons for use against Israeli military forces or civilians in a future conflict.”

Wow! Wow! Wow and Wow! I believe (and I could be wrong) God’s Word tells us, in Psalm 83, that Israel’s Muslim neighbors will, at some time in the future, try to “wipe Israel out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more (verse 4).” I also believe (and I could be wrong) we could actually see this war in our lifetime which, I believe (and I could be wrong) will then be followed by a Russian/Iranian invasion of Israel to “capture a spoil” which results in the Lord God Himself coming to Israel’s defense and destroying all of the invaders. And, one more prophecy: “Damascus (Syria) will be “removed from being a city (Isaiah 17:1).” Stay tuned and don’t be surprised if one or two of these prophecies are fulfilled in our lifetime which means bye, bye Russia, Iran and Syria! However, the Chinese may still be around, based on the possibility they they may be among the “kings from the east” who march to Megiddo, as prophesied in Revelation 16:12-16, only to be destroyed by the Lord Jesus Himself (Revelation 19:11-21). Scary, but exciting stuff for us, as believers in Jesus Who is coming and, maybe soon. So, let us watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you still not a believer in Jesus, time is running out: simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give You eternal life (John 3:16). This headline, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, really got my attention this morning: “Report Predicts Next Pandemic Will Come From Meat!”

In the article, Dr. Mercola reported: “The idea that pathogens will jump species and kill humans is a useful scare tactic, and it’s now being pushed like never before under One Health – a global agenda that will allow unelected bureaucrats at the World Health Organization to centralize power and make decisions relating to diet, agriculture and livestock farming, environmental pollution, movement of populations, health care and much more, for the entire world.

A report from Harvard Law School and New York University predicts the next pandemic is likely to emerge from the U.S. meat supply – or the fur trade, or a petting zoo, or from pets. It reviews all the different areas of life and commerce that involve animal and human contact and the subsequent hypothetical zoonotic transmission chains. One Health documents are repeatedly referenced in this report. The idea that pathogens will jump species and kill humans is a useful scare tactic, however, and it’s now being pushed like never before under One Health.” Stay tuned!

As believers in Jesus, we should not be surprised that the “god of this world, that is, the devil (II Corinthians 4:4) is behind all the lies and schemes of One Health, the World Health Organization, the “Great Reset,” the New World Order, the United Nations and the likes of Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab and the other billionaires and trillionaires of the world who are now majoring in “technocracy (“follow the science”) and transhumanism, Satan’s oldest lie: “you can be god!” See Genesis 3:1-5.

Keep in mind, Satan is a fallen angel. And, in this world, angels are more powerful than humans. The apostle Paul knew this and gave us some good advice in Ephesians 6:10-20 which I would encourage you to read, believe and put into practice. Peter knew this too, as he wrote, in I Peter 5:8-10, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But, resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.” In the words of Sabine Baring-Gould, “Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.”

These two, recent headlines, from Reuters, got my attention this morning:

#1. Second US submarine arrives in South Korea amid North Korea tensions

#2. Russia’s defense minister accompanies North Korean leader Kim Jon Un

These certainly are scary times in which we live, especially with foreign leaders threatening our nation and allies with nuclear weapons. But, let us not forget what Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6a “you will be hearing of wars and rumors of war” which we have seen in the last year or so with Russia first threatening war with Ukraine (a “rumor”), then going to “war” against Ukraine which is still ongoing and seems unending. And yet, in Ezekiel 38, the prophet tells us about a “Gog of Magog,” a Russian leader (perhaps Vladimir Putin) who will, at some time in the future, leave one war (Ukraine?) and head to Israel, along with a host of other nations, to “capture spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. And, if you don’t believe me, read Ezekiel 38-39. Sadly, there are more wars to come which you can read about in Revelation 6-20. But, then, drum roll please, the Lord Jesus Christ returns to judge and destroy all His enemies, including the devil, his angels and all the unbelievers of all time and create a “new heaven and earth” for all the believers in Jesus of all time for eternity.

So, your might ask: “How does one become a believer in Jesus?” By agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This recent headline, from the Times of Israel, got my attention this morning: “Hezbollah chief gloats: Israel had its ‘worst day is on path’ to disappearance.'”

In the article, the TOI Staff reported: “The head of the Hezbollah terror group gloated that Israel was on the ‘path to disappearance’ as chaotic demonstrations by opposition activists protesting the passage of the first judicial overhaul law wracked the nation on Monday.

“Israel was once thought of as a regional power that can’t be beaten, and regional countries accepted its threat as a fact that can’t be removed,” Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised address marking the seventh day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar, days ahead of the major Shiite festival of Ashura, according to media reports. He added that “its trust, awareness and self-confidence have deteriorated into the crisis it is experiencing today.”

Nasrallah, whose own country has been mired in years of devastating political bedlam and has seen its own spasms of protests, branded Monday Israel’s ‘worst day since the state’s creation. This day, in particular, is the worst day in the history of the entity, as some of its people say. This is what puts it on the path to collapse, fragmentation and disappearance, God will,” he said.

Now, in light of these statements about the demise or disappearance of Israel, let me remind, from Jeremiah 31:35-36, the prophet wrote: “Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the Lord of hosts is His name: ‘If this fixed order departs from before Me,’ declares the Lord, then the offspring of Israel also will cease from being a nation before Me forever.” In other words, as long as there is the sun, the moon and the stars, there will be an Israel. But, according to Zechariah 14:7-9, only one third of the Jews will enter their long-awaited kingdom because they have trusted Jesus to be their Messiah and Savior.

In conclusion, please know that, being a good Muslim or Jew or Catholic or Lutheran or whatever will not get you into heaven or paradise. Jesus is the only Way (John 14:6)! So, please, if you haven’t already done so, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). #2. Russian jet launches flares at MQ-9 Reaper in Syria, ‘severely damaging propeller: US

In the first article, Michael Marrow reported: “A Russian fighter jet launched flares at a US MQ-9 Reaper drone flying above Syria and ‘severely’ damaged its propeller recently, US Air Forces Central Commander Lt. Gen. Alex Grynkewich alleged today (7/25/23).”

In the second article, Majid Rafizadeh wrote: “The weak and possibly compromised administration of U.S. President Joe Biden appears to have enabled and empowered the autocrats of China, Russia, Iran and North Korea, all of whom seem to be working overtime to create a new authoritarian world order with themselves at the helm.

Now, let me remind you, in case you forgot or didn’t know, the USA is nowhere to be found in Bible prophecy, other than, perhaps, having a weak response to Russia, Iran and a host of other nations when they invade Israel to “take a spoil” which you can read about in Ezekiel 38. But, if you read the “rest of the story,” as Paul Harvey would say (Ezekiel 39), you will see the Lord God Himself will come to Israel’s defense and destroy Russia and her allies. Bye, bye, Russia and Iran! Enter: China, North Korea and the other “kings from the east” (Revelation 16:12-16) whom the Lord Jesus Christ will destroy when He returns to set up His kingdom on earth (Revelation 19:11-21) which I believe (not all Christians do), will last for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-7) which will then be followed by the so-called “Great White Throne Judgment” of all the unbelievers of all time (Revelation 20:11-15) and, finally, the “new heaven and earth” for all the believers in Jesus for eternity. Glory to God!

Please know I am praying for all of you who are not believers in Jesus to become believers in Him by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and warm (66 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk after a severe storm in our area, I saw: 4 deer, 4 robins and 2 bunnies! Thank You, Jesus!

Yesterday, I shared with you some thoughts by Dr. Mark Yarbrough, President of Dallas Theological Seminary on a pre-trib “rapture of the church” which I also share. And, while not all Christians believe as we do, hopefully, we can all agree that Jesus is coming.

Today, I would like to share with you two of Dr. Yarbrough’s thoughts on what we, as Christians, should be doing in light of His coming: “First, knowing with certainty that Jesus will return should be great encouragement to us. Paul continued his message to the believers in Thessalonica: “Therefore comfort one another with these words (I Thessalonians 4:18). He didn’t want believers to grieve hopelessly over departed Christian loved ones; they would be reunited with them. That’s the same hope we have today. God always keeps His Word!

Second, God revealed these truths about the rapture to motivate us to share the gospel at every opportunity. Lost people need to know that God will fully and finally judge sin; however, that doesn’t have to be their end. Salvation is granted to those who put their trust in Jesus – Who He is and what He has done for us. All who believe in Him ‘will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).”
