This recent headline from Reuters was chilling: “US must be ready for simultaneous wars with China, Russia, report says!”

In the article, Jonathan Landay wrote: “The United States must prepare for possible simultaneous wars with Russia and China by expanding its conventional forces, strengthening alliances and enhancing its nuclear weapons program, a congressionally appointed bipartisan panel said on Thursday (10/12/23).

The report from the Strategic Posture Commission comes amid tensions with China over Taiwan and other issues and worsening frictions with Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

A senior official involved in the report declined to say if the panel’s intelligence briefings showed any Chinese and Russian nuclear weapons cooperation. ‘We worry – there may be ultimate coordination between them in some way which, which gets us to this two-way construct,’ the official said on condition of anonymity. The findings would upend current U.S. national security strategy calling for winning one conflict while deterring another and require huge defense spending increases with uncertain congressional support.

“We do recognize budget realities, but we also believe the nation must make these investments,” the Democratic chair head of the agency chair, Madelyn Creedon, a former deputy head of the agency that oversees U. S. nuclear weapons, and the vice chair, Jon Kyl, a retired Republican senator, said in the report’s preface. Addressing a briefing held to release the report, Kyl said the president and Congress must ‘take the case to the American people’ that higher defense spending is a small price to pay ‘to hopefully preclude’ a possible nuclear war involving the United States, China and Russia. The report contrasts with U.S. President Joe Biden’s position that the current U.S. nuclear arsenal is sufficient to deter the combined forces of Russia and China.” Note: I suggest the President read Revelation 6:7, 8 where John wrote of a judgment of God which will kill “a fourth of the earth with sword (war), famine, pestilence (the results of war) and the wild beasts of the earth!”

And, one more thought: I believe (and I could be wrong), both Russia (Ezekiel 38-39) and China (Revelation 16:12-16) are mentioned in the prophetic Scriptures; the U.S. is not, other than, perhaps, making a “weak” protest against Russia’s invasion of Israel in Ezekiel 38:13.

And Jesus said, in Matthew 24: 6, Mark 13:7 and Luke 21:9, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war.” I believe (and I could be wrong) we are witnessing in Israel the fulfillment of the Psalm 83 war between Israel and her Muslim neighbors which, I believe, Israel will win, only to be attacked by Russia, Iran and a host of other nations which, I believe, Israel will win, leading to a time when Israel is living in peace, only to be invaded by a Russian-Iranian-led invasion of Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself Check it out in Ezekiel 38-39.

Yes, these are both frightening and exciting times, as we watch Bible prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes. But, there’s “good news” for the believers in Jesus! He is coming for His bride, the church, made up of all the “born-again” believers in Jesus (John 3:3, 5, 7) who have been saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus and not by works (Ephesians 2:8, 9). And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, you can become one right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from dark and cool (44 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk under clear skies, I saw: two deer, Venus, the Big Dipper and countless other stars declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! Thank You, Jesus!

And Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6 and Mark 13:7, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.”

Interestingly enough, I believe (and I could be wrong) the present and ongoing war between Israel, Hamas and its allies will ultimately be won by Israel, based on the prophecy of Psalm 83. Then, according to Ezekiel 38:1-17, at a time when Israel is living in peace, the Lord God Himself will draw Russia and her allies down to Israel “to take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by Him (Ezekiel 38:18-39:24). Glory to God!

Bye, bye, Russia and her allies. Then, I believe China, one of “the kings from the east (Revelation 16:12-16) and her allies (possibly North Korea among others) will be drawn by the Lord to Megiddo where the Lord Jesus will destroy all His enemies and usher in His glorious kingdom on earth (Revelation 19:11-20:15). As Corrie ten Boom once said for the believer in Jesus: “The best is yet to come!” I can’t wait. But, wait I must and watch, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes.

Good morning, blog readers, from windy, rainy and cool (49 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 3 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

As many of you know, I have been following earthquakes for some time (since 2016) because Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8, that, among the signs leading up to His return, “there will be earthquakes in various places.” And, in Matthew 24: 8, He added, “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains.” In other words, over time, these and the other “signs” He gave us, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, would increase in frequency and intensity,” as we get closer to His return.

So, here’s what I found over the last week. According to the USGS, there were: 35 moderate (5.0-5.7) and 3 strong (6.0-6.3) quakes in 23 different places: Afghanistan (3), Alaska, Argentina (2), Balleny Islands Region, Central Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Chile, Fiji (2), Indonesia (2), Japan (7), Kermadec Islands, Papua New Guinea (6) , Philippines, Northern Mariana Islands, Russia, Slovenia, South Sandwich Islands, Taiwan, Tonga (2), Washington and the West Indian-Antarctic Ridge and West of the Macquarie Island.

P.S. Keep an eye on the Pacific Northwest where there was a “light” (4.3) quake near Port Townsend, Washington (Population: 9,113, as of 2010) which is about 35 miles southeast of the Vancouver Island Region.

This headline, from Michael Snyder’s 10/12/23 Blog, really got my attention: “All Eyes on Israel’s Neighbors As Israel Prepares to Invade Gaza!”

In the article, Michael wrote: “Escalation will be a word that is used a lot in the coming days. Once Israel sends troops into Gaza, it is going to trigger a series of events that nobody is going to be able to control. But there is no turning back now. As I mentioned yesterday, Israel has reportedly warned Hezbollah that Damascus will be destroyed if Hezbollah tries to send troops into Israel… Israel gives clear warning to Hezbollah: If Hezbollah joins the war, the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) will completely destroy Damascus (as prophesied in Isaiah 17:1) and will directly target the Iran-backed Syrian dictator Bashar-al-Assad. Moreover, US warships will support Israel in this war.

Note: Damascus is believed to be either the oldest city in the world or one of the oldest cities in the world which has been destroyed numerous times and rebuilt over and over again. The prophecy of Isaiah 17:1, states: “Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap” in the KJV or “a heap of ruins in the NIV. And, it is quite possible, we might still be around to see this happen in our lifetime. All I can say is to the believers in Jesus: Stay tuned and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes!

This recent headline, from Technocracy News and Trends, got my attention this morning: “Technocrats in the European Union Quietly Roll Out Identity Wallet!”

In the article, the TN Editor reported: “Global technocrats have sparked a stampede for digital ids for every person on earth. One research organization forecasts that governments will have issued 5 billion digital ID credentials by the end of 2024, or 62.5% of the global population. By 2030, this will likely approach 90%. This will enable them to cut off all dissenters by denying access to services such as finance, government services, travel, etc.

All I can say is: stay tuned, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, and be prepared for all kinds of surprises the global technocrats will roll out to control us. And, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

This recent (10/10/23) headline, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, really got my attention this morning: ‘Turbo Cancers’ Linked to COVID Jabs!

In the article, Dr. Mercola reported: “Oncologists are reporting an alarming rise in post jab ‘turbo cancers,’ a term coined to describe incredibly rapid-growing cancers in people who have received one or more COVID jabs. These cancers are showing up in young people, many under the age of 30, with no family history of cancer. They’re also showing up in pregnant women and young children.

Most turbo cancers are Stage 3 or 4 by the time they’re diagnosed, yet symptoms only arose days or weeks ago. They grow and spread so rapidly, many patients die before treatment can even begin. Most turbo cancers are also resistant to conventional treatment.” Note: So much for the COVID shots being “safe and effective!”

Meanwhile, back in Israel, the war continues to rage on between Israel and her enemies. And, according to Reuters, “The United States has warned Hamas backer Iran not to get involved in the conflict.” Note: Too late! However, according to the Hebrew Scriptures (Ezekiel 38-39), the Lord God Himself will, at some time in the future, defeat and destroy Russia, Iran and their allies!

So, dearly beloved in Christ, let us continue to: watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (46 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer who, when she saw me, ran across the street and headed for the brush!

As the war in Israel continues on between Israel and her enemies, I wonder, from a prophetic standpoint, “What’s next on the Lord’s agenda?”

Here’s some of my thoughts, based on Scripture. I believe (and I could be wrong), that this present war in Israel was prophesied by Asaph in Psalm 83 where, according to Bill Salus in his book,, “Nuclear Showdown in Iran,” Asaph gave us the names of those who are presently or soon to be at war with Israel: Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah and possibly Al Qaeda.

Next, I believe, based on Ezekiel 38:11, that Israel will, at some time in the future, as it s hard to imagine now with all the destruction in the land, be “living in a land of unwalled villages (not now), at rest (not now) and living securely (not now) without walls and having no bars or gates (not now) when Russia, Iran and a host of other nations (38:1-14) invade Israel to “capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now inhabited, and against the people (the Jews) who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world (Israel).”

And, just when it looks like Israel is going to be ravaged and destroyed by these nations, the Lord God Himself comes to Israel’s defense and destroys the invaders (38:18-39:24).Then, Israel will be restored by God (39:25-29) and the Messiah (Jesus) will rebuild the temple in Jerusalem and usher in His kingdom (Ezekiel 40-48).

Again, this is my opinion (and I could be wrong). Either way, despite the horror of the war that continues to rage in and around Israel, there will, one day, be peace in Israel when the Prince of Peace returns to rebuild His temple and usher in His kingdom.

So, please, if you haven’t already done so, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4 ) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This morning-headline from the Gatestone Institute, caught my eye: “Palestinians’ War on Israel and US Senators’ Delusional ‘Two-State Solution.'”

In the article, Bassam Tawil reported: “Less than 48 hours after US Democratic Senators urged President Joe Biden to push for the establishment of a Palestinian state as part of a normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia, Iran’s Palestinian terror proxies launched a massive attack on Israel, killing more than 700 Israeli, men, women and children, and wounding thousands more. An unknown number of Israelis (estimated at more than 100), including infants, toddlers and an elderly Holocaust survivor in a wheelchair, have also been kidnapped and taken to the Gaza Strip. This war, as noted by the Wall Street Journal, was caused directly by Iran which funds and directs Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and by the appeasement of the Iranian regime by the Biden administration and its allies.”

Certainly, we need to heed King David’s words and “pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).” However, let me remind you, whether you are a Jew, Muslim, Protestant, Catholic, Buddhist, an atheist, an agnostic or whatever, there will be no peace in Israel or the world until the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus Christ, returns to the earth to set up His kingdom which may not be that far away, based on the “signs” Jesus gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.

And, let me also remind you that, in order to be a part of the Lord’s kingdom, you need to agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This headline, from the AP, got my attention this morning: “Israel battles Hamas for a second day after mass incursion and trades fire with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.”

In the article, the AP staff reported: “Israeli soldiers battled Hamas fighters in the streets of southern Israel on Sunday and launched retaliation strikes that leveled buildings in Gaza, while in northern Israel a brief exchange of strikes with Lebanon’s Hezbollah militant group raised fears of a broader conflict.”

Then, there was this headline from yesterday’s Gatestone Institute: “Biden Administration Enabling Iranian Mullahs’ Dangerous Nuclear Weapons Program – Again?”

In the article, Majid Rafizadeh wrote: “Iran’s ruling mullahs have been rapidly and defiantly advancing their nuclear weapons program to levels never before seen. Apparently, after a short nap, a make-believe, monumentally unenforceable, nuclear deal with Iran is back in play. The regime is now finally at the threshold of making all the nuclear weapons it desires, along with missiles to launch them at their enemies in the Middle East, Europe and America.”

But, there’s good news if you read and believe Bible prophecy. Because, according to Psalm 83 and, perhaps Ezekiel 37:10, Israel’s “exceedingly great army” (not yesterday) will take care of her neighboring enemies. And, according to Ezekiel 38-39, the Lord Himself will take care of Persia (modern-day Iran), Russia and a host of other nations which invade Israel to “take a spoil.”

So, dearly beloved in Christ, keep your Bibles handy and don’t be afraid to read the prophetic Scriptures I have listed above which will remind you and me that, even though the world is out of control, God is still on His throne with Jesus at His right hand and coming again to defeat His enemies and bring in His kingdom. I can’t wait. But, wait I must and so must you while also watching, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please become one today by simply agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny, windy and cold (41 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk under clear skies, I saw: 2 deer, Venus, Regulus, the Big Dipper and countless other stars declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from Reuters, really got my attention this morning because it could be (notice, I didn’t say “it is” the fulfillment of Psalm 83 because it is too early to tell. First of all, let me remind you of what Asaph wrote in Psalm 83 (NASB):

“O God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and. O God, do not be still. For, behold, Thine enemies make an uproar; and those who hate Thee have exalted themselves. They make shrewd plans against Thy people (Israel), and conspire together against Thy treasured ones. They (Israel’s enemies) have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.’ For they have conspired together with one mind against Thee do they make a covenant: the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites; Gebal, and Ammon and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria has also joined with them; they have become a help to the children of Lot.”

Then, in the remainder of this imprecatory psalm, Asaph, in verses 9-18, prays that God will avenge Israel’s enemies and destroy them “that they may know that Thou alone, whose name is the Lord, art the Most High over all the earth.” And, just so that you know, Bill Salus, in his book, “Nuclear Showdown in Iran,” gives us the modern-day names of Israel’s attackers: Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah, and possibly Al Qaeda,” all of whom are Muslim countries who hate Israel and want to “wipe her out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more (verses 4).

The names of Israel’s enemies are important because then we can know for sure whether or not this prophecy is true. I believe (and I could be wrong) that Israel will defeat her Muslim neighbors and be “living in peace” when Russia and her allies invade Israel to “take a spoil (Ezekiel 38:11-13), after which the Lord God Himself will destroy the invaders and restore Israel (Ezekiel 38:14-39:29).

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, this could be the beginning of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy which ultimately leads us to the second coming of Christ (some, like me, believe in the “rapture,” while others believe in the second coming of Christ to the earth to set up His kingdom. Either way, it will be a blessing for the believers in Jesus. So, let me ask you, “if Jesus were to come today, “would He come for you?” He will, only if you have agreed with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).

And, if you are a believer in Jesus, let us “fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2)” and keep them there while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. Blessings with love and prayers, Doug (10/7/23)
