Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cold (20 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a spectacular orange moon and a bunny! Thank You, Jesus! This recent headline from Live Science really caught my eye: “Enormous ‘sunspot archipelago’ 15 times wider than earth could soon bombard us with solar flares.”

In the article, Harry Baker reported: “A massive sunspot region made up of at least six different sunspot groups has emerged on the sun’s nearside. The ‘archipelago’ of dark patches is spitting out solar storms at an alarming rate and Earth will soon be in the firing line.

One of the largest and most densely populated sunspot regions seen in more than a decade has appeared on the sun’s nearside to Earth – and has begun to unleash a barrage of solar storms that are shaking up our home star’s surface in a big way. The sunspots’ emergence could make it an interesting few weeks for Earth, which will soon be in the firing line of these disruptive dark patches.

Scientists already knew that the sunspot groups were on their way because they had been tracking ‘helioseismic tremors’ or ripples in the sun’s surface, from the area. The sunspot region is ‘so large it is affecting the way the whole sun vibrates,’ Spaceweather.com representatives wrote.” Note: As I have said before: “Stay tuned and keep your eyes on the sun and, more importantly, on the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the “sun of righteousness with healing in its wings (Malachi 4:2).”

Remember, Jesus said, in Luke 21:25, “And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves, men (and women) fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world.”

Just one more sign Jesus is coming! And, He will either be your Savior or Judge. If He is your Savior from sin, then keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshipping Jesus until He comes. Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (32 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk under clear skies, I saw: Venus and the heavens declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1), 4 deer and a plane! Thank You, Jesus, for allowing me the ability to still see!

I don’t know about you, but I am a statistics kind of guy who charts earthquakes daily and is curious about certain words in the Bible, like “thanksgiving.” So, I got out my huge “Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible” and looked up the words “thanks” and “thanksgiving” to see what I could find. And, I found over 100 uses of these words in the Old and New Testament, one of which was in Psalm 100 which I would like to share with you this morning:

Shout joyfully to the Lord all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He Who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting, And His faithfulness to all generations.

In Matthew 24, Jesus gave His disciples, then and now, 8 “signs” leading up to His return, one of which was an increase in the persecution of the believers in Him. He said, in verse 9, “Then they will deliver you to tribulation , and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.”

Then, I saw this recent headline from The Christian Post: “Christian evangelist shot in head while promoting church service on Arizona street.”

In the article, CP Reporter Nicole Alcindor wrote: “Local police are searching for answers after a Christian evangelist was shot in the head while preaching on an Arizona street last week and is now hospitalized in critical condition. Hans Schmidt, the 26 year-old outreach director at Victory Chapel First Phoenix Church, was shot while street preaching on Wednesday night before service, according to a statement on the church’s website.”

Questions: “Are you ready for this? Am I ready for this? Answer: “We should be, as we seek to emulate Christ in His sufferings like Paul. See Philippians 3:7-10. Now, read Hebrews 11:35-40 and you will see that persecution of the believers was the norm, even in the Old Testament: “Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, in order that they might obtain a better resurrection; and others experienced mockings and scourgings, yes, also chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated (men of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the ground. And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.” Paul said it best in II Timothy 3:12: “Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

Lord Jesus, please help me to be more like you in all things, including suffering and persecution, to Your glory. This headline, from Dr. Robert W. Malone, caught my eye this morning: “Pandemics as a Catalyst for a New World Order.” In the article, Jill Glasspool Malone, PhD wrote: “Each nation in the world has its own culture, governance structures, traditions, property borders and peoples. We must preserve the diversity and sovereignty of nations and cultures.

By globally synchronizing the public health response across the United Nations member states, new powers were granted to the UN and its organizations at the cost of national sovereignty of nations and cultures. These universally applied regulations and multilateral agreements have given birth to an enlarged, globalized administrative state.

Although this power grab has been percolating for many decades, the COVID crisis acted as an accelerant to synergize international agreements that advance the UN as a world government. The United Nations has morphed into a leviathan. Its various agreements and goals seek to centrally dictate the world’s economy, migration, ‘reproductive health,’ monetary systems, digital IDs, environment, agriculture, wages, climate modifications, one world health and other related globalist programs.

To be clear, these are the goals of an organization seeking a globalized command economy, not an organization focused on world peace, ending wars or human rights! This UN aims to regulate every dimension of our personal and national lives. It is working to reduce and eliminate national sovereignty across the world,, and thereby decrease our diversity, our traditions, our religions and our national identities.

The UN has partnerships and strategic agreements with member nations, as well as other globalist organizations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank, CEPI (?) Gavi (?), The World Trade Organization, The European Union and the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Sounds to me a lot like the one-world government, religion and economy under the Antichrist, right out of Revelation which leads up to, praise God, the second coming of Christ to the earth to set up His kingdom when He will judge Satan and his followers and usher in a new heaven and a new earth for all the believers in Jesus for eternity. Glory to God! I can’t wait! But, as I have said before, as a believer in Jesus, I (you) must not only wait, but also watch, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. This headline, from a recent Jewish News Syndicate, really got my attention this morning: “Erdogan: Israel will soon be destroyed!”

In the article, Charles Bybelezer reported: “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his country’s parliament on Wednesday that Israel would soon be destroyed.” Erdogan said: “Right now I am openly saying with clear conscience that Israel is a terrorist state,” said Erdogan.

While this comment was widely reported, his subsequent remarks went largely unnoticed. ‘Hey Israel: You have an atomic bomb. And you are making threats with this. We know this. And your end is near,’ said Erdogan. ‘You can have as many nuclear bombs as you want, but you’re on your way out, ‘he added. Turkish lawmakers responded to the message with a thunderous standing ovation.”

According to the John Ankerberg staff, they identify both Gomer and Beth Togarmah, in Ezekiel 38:6, as Turkey. And, if they are right (and I believe they are), there will come a future time when Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya and a host of other nations attack Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself which I would encourage you to read in Ezekiel 38 and 39. And, let me remind you again that the Lord God Himself said, in Jeremiah 31:35-37, that, as long as there is a sun and a moon, there will always be an Israel.

Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cool (31 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer, Venus and the heavens brilliantly proclaiming the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! Thank You, Jesus!

A couple of days ago, I wrote about the dangerous volcano in Iceland which threatens the mainland with possible catastrophic damage. Today, let me give you an update, based on this recent headline from LiveScience: “What will happen if the Iceland volcano erupts?”

In the article, Harry Baker wrote: “Experts have warned that an underground magma tunnel between a pair of Icelandic towns could erupt at any moment. But what will this eruption look like? And how far reaching will its effects be?”

Baker continued: “Officials in Iceland are preparing for an imminent volcanic eruption from a submerged tunnel of magma, which could unleash superhot lava flows on nearby towns, a vital power plant and an iconic tourist destination.

The tunnel of molten rock, known as a magma dike, stretches for around 9.3 miles (15 kilometers) between Grindavik and Sundhnuk in Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula. The underground dike has triggered thousands of earthquakes and caused significant ground deformation that has opened up sinkholes in the surface and cracks in nearby buildings and roads. As a result, local residents have been evacuated. But this is likely just the beginning. The Icelandic Meteorological Society (IMO) has warned that a full-blown eruption could be part of a more explosive, centuries-long eruption phase for the region.”

This made me think of Psalm 147:15-18 where the psalmist wrote of the Lord God: “He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes. He casts forth His ice as fragments; Who can stand before His cold? He sends forth His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow and the waters to flow.”

In other words, God controls the weather. Case in point: In Revelation 7:16 and 16:8, He will judge the earth with “scorching heat” and, in Revelation 16:21 with “100 pound hailstones!”

Let us pray that God will protect the people of Iceland from the earthquakes and a potential and, perhaps catastrophic, volcanic eruption. And, let us also pray for the believers in Jesus in Iceland that they would be a strong and loving witness for Jesus until He comes. And, if you are from Iceland or wherever and do not know Jesus as your Savior, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This headline, from a recent (11/10/23) UNESCO Press Release, got my attention this morning: “UNESCO Seeks to Regulate All Internet Content!”

Now, if you’re like me, you probably have no idea what “UNESCO” stands for. It is the “United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.”

According to the Technocracy News Editor, “While citing the need for ‘multi-stakeholder regulation of social media, UNESCO’s 59 page tome is titled Guidelines for the Governance of Digital Platforms. This is Orwellian Double-Think at its worst, promoting free speech that is ant-free speech. The ‘major threat to stability and the social cohesion they want to force on the world. Now UNESCO will spawn a feeding frenzy of eager NGOs and government tyrants to promote and defend the globalist narrative.

UNESCO’s action plan is the result of a consultation process on a scale unprecedented within the United Nations system, with over 10,000 contributions from 134 countries collected over the last eighteen months. Over 40 pages, it outlines the principles which must be respected as well as the concrete measures which must be implemented by all stakeholders: governments, regulatory authorities, civil society and the platforms themselves.”

One more step, I believe, towards a one-world government, religion and economy which has been prophesied in the Book of Revelation. Stay tuned, as the so-called “Antichrist” is “waiting in the wings” to begin his short-lived rule over the whole world which you can read about in Revelation 13-19 which is followed by his destruction in 19:20, 21. Then, I would encourage you to read Revelation 20-22 to get what Paul Harvey would say, “the rest of the story!”

Yes, dearly beloved, Jesus is coming and, I am thinking, sooner rather than later, based on the signs He gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. So, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshipping Jesus until He comes. This headline, from Live Science, really got my attention this morning: “Iceland volcano Live: Geologist explains why the region is so volcanically active.”

Harry Baker and Hannah Osborne reported: “Iceland is bracing for an imminent volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula, in the southwest corner of the island. Grindavik, a small fishing town with a population of around 2,800 people , has been evacuated after a sinkhole measuring 3.2 feet (1 meter) deep appeared in the town. Seismic activity began increasing in the area around Fagradalsfjall volcano on October 25, when more than 1,000 earthquakes north of Grindavik occurred in the space of hours. Two strong earthquakes, measuring 3.9 and 4.5, hit as a depth of around 3 miles (5 kilometers). Over the following 2 weeks, seismic activity continued, with hundreds of earthquakes and uplift recorded each day, indicating that magma is accumulating beneath the ground. On November 11, Icelandic Met Office (IMO) data showed there was a ‘magma tunnel’ about 9.3 miles (15 km) from Sundhnuk in the north down to Grindavik and into the sea. Experts say an eruption could take place anywhere along this tunnel – also known as a dike.” All I can say is: stay tuned and watch this area to see what happens next and remember what Jesus His disciples, in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8, “There will be earthquakes in various places.” All I can say is: stay tuned Stay tuned and watch for more earthquake activity in the U. This morning-headline from Dr. Joseph Mercola, really caught my eye: “The End of Privacy Is Near.”

In the article, Dr. Mercola wrote: ‘CITIZENFOUR’ is a documentary about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. It came out in 2014, but it’s even more pertinent today than it was then.

In January 2013, when documentary film director/producer Laura Poitras received an encrypted email from a stranger who called himself ‘CITIZENFOUR.’ In June 2013, Poitras flew to meet Snowden at the Mira Hotel in Hong Kong, together with columnist Glenn Greenwald and Guardian Intelligence reporter Ewen MacAskill. After four days of interviews, Snowden’s identity was made public at his request.

Today, Snowden’s warnings ring truer than ever. Artificial Intelligence now scours social media, podcasts and videos for key words identifying ‘antivaxxers,’ for example. It doesn’t even matter if they agree with what you’re writing or saying. The mere inclusion of certain words will get you axed from the platform.

Next, the plan is to eliminate privacy altogether by requiring a digital identity to access the internet.” Snowden continued: “For now, know that every border you cross, every purchase you make, every call you dial, every cell phone tower you pass, friend you keep, article you write, site you visit, subject line you type, and packet you route, is in the hands of a system whose reach is unlimited, but whose safeguards are not.”

All I can say is: “Come, Lord Jesus!” Let me ask you: “Should the Lord tarry, are you ready for Satan and his demons to take over our privacy and freedoms?” If you and I are believers in Jesus, we should be, that is, if we have heeded Paul’s words, in Ephesians 6:13, and “put on the full armor of God, so that you (we) will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.”

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! And, let me remind you, we still have His work to do: watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, your time is running out. Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cool (43 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: Venus shining brightly and another shooting star! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from yesterday’s Deseret News, grabbed my attention this morning: “Why experts say a solar storm could cause trillions of dollars worth of damage.”

In the article, Rebecca Olds wrote: “NASA predicts that a large solar flare will hit Earth sometime in 2025, and it wants to be prepared.” In a related article, I read: “Scientists warned that a coming massive solar flare could render the globe’s internet useless for several weeks. This coming cosmic storm is possible as the sun enters a period of more intense activity. Experts believe a detectable warning could be found anywhere from 18 to 24 hours before the Earth’s magnetic field suffered significant disruptions.

What can be done to actually prepare for such a massive event is another story. Everything from the global power grid and underground fiber optic cable to communications equipment and radip transmitters could be damaged by such an occurrence.

Dr. Peter Becker of George Mason University noted the relative good fortune enjoyed by humanity during the Internet age. This ‘era’ is a time when the sun has been relatively quiet, and now it’s entering a more active time.’ Becker is part of a project to develop an early warning system. This is critical, he said, because for the first time humanity is going into a period of increased solar activity while simultaneously being quite dependent on the internet.”

And Jesus said, in Luke 21:25-28: “And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations (no internet!), in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But, when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

How exciting for the believer in Jesus! And, how scary for the unbeliever! But, if you are still an unbeliever, you can change that right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). If you do not believe in Jesus as your Savior, please know you are on your way to an eternal hell. Please know I am praying for your salvation and the believer’s “sanctification,” that you will become more like Jesus and be a testimony of saving faith to others to the glory of God.
