RUMORS HERE & THERE!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (58 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 33 robins, 2 bunnies, 2 cardinals, 2 deer and a dove! Thank You, Jesus!

These headlines really got my attention this morning:

#1. “Terror attack on US soil now ‘more than likely,’ expert says.”

#2. China escalates military presence near Taiwan.

#3. US may not be able to help defend Israel against an all-out war with Hezbollah

In the first article, Paul Mauro, a retired NYPD inspector who worked in counterterrorism for nearly 15 years, reported: “We are in a period where a number of factors are combining to make a terrorist attack on the homeland far more likely than it perhaps had been. He said: “the risk of a potential new attack should be assessed in a criminal context – who has the means, motive and opportunity to successfully execute a deadly plot. The world has gotten a lot smaller since 9/11. You’ve got drones, the interconnectivity of the internet is more ubiquitous into areas that maybe didn’t have that connectivity. You can get an uplink using something like an Elon Musk satellite. You can get online from the mountains of the Hindu Cush, you’ve got AI capabilities, and you’ve had all that time to develop capabilities since 9/11 if you are still in the terror business.”

Then, there was this headline: “China escalates military presence near Taiwan.”

And, one more: “Joint Chiefs of Staff head Charles Q. Brown warned that the US may not be able to help defend Israel against an all-out war with Hezbollah in the same way that it stepped in during the Iran drone attack in April, the Associated Press reported on Monday.”

Let me remind you that Jesus, in Matthew 24:6, told His disciples: “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.” Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming. And, even though I believe (not all Christians do) in a “pre-tribulation rapture of the church,” I also believe that we will still go through some tough times, just like we are beginning to see in this country, Israel and around the world. And yet, let us not forget, we still have Jesus on our side Who will ultimately lead us to victory!

So, dearly beloved in Christ, let us remember Hebrews 12:2 and “fix our eyes on Jesus,” keep them there and be ready to fight against our adversary, the devil, who prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. And, let us resist him, firm in our faith in Christ (I Peter 5:8, 9), knowing full well that we have “victory in Jesus! Hallelujah! Glory to God! Love, Doug (6/24/24)

QUAKES in VARIOUS PLACES!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (66 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 44 robins, 8 geese, 4 bunnies, 4 doves, 3 crows, 3 deer and 3 grackles! Thank You, Jesus!

As many of you now, I enjoy writing about “earthquakes” because Jesus told us, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11 that, one of the “signs” leading up to His return, would be “earthquakes in various places.”

And so, over the last 24 hours, according to the USGS, there were not only 13 “minor to very minor” (2.0-2.9) quakes in the United States (Alaska (6), California (4), Hawaii (1), Oklahoma (1), Utah (1), but also 3 moderate (5.0, 5.1, 5,2) quakes in Japan, Peru and Russia and a “strong” (6.0) quake in Venezuela. Nothing to get excited about as yet, but, something that bears watching.

Now, I don’t know about you, but we had some pretty dangerous storms, including severe thunderstorms and tornadoes last night, here in Wisconsin. But, when I went out for my morning walk, I did not see any evidence of these storms, for which I am most thankful. But, let us pray for those who were injured or had property damage from the storms.

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, but would like to become one, simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). IRAN’S NUKES!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (67 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 24 robins, 8 geese, 5 doves, 4 red-winged blackbirds, 3 bunnies, 2 grackles a deer and and a dog!! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning-headline, from the Gatestone Institute, really got my attention: “Iran’s Mullahs Drastically Speed Up Their Nuclear Program, US Administration Sits Idly By!”

In the article, Majid Rafizadeh reported: “The United Nations’ International Atomic Agency (IAEA) recently issued an unusually jarring warning, highlighting a development in Iran’s nuclear program. IAEA inspectors confirmed that, for the first time, Iran has commenced the process of feeding uranium gas into three cascades of advanced IR-4 and IR-6 centrifuges at its Natanz enrichment facility.

By waving sanctions on Iran, the Biden administration has effectively provided financial support amounting up to an estimated $100 billion to the mullahs. Worse, the Biden administration has turned a blind eye to Tehran’s destabilizing and aggressive policies, both within the region and without. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has explicitly articulated his vision for Israel’s destruction in his 416-page book, Palestine. This manifesto serves as a detailed guide to eliminating Israel, often referred to in Iran as the ‘Little Satan.’ and vehemently condemns the United States, referred to as “‘The Great Satan.'”

Let me remind you again, based on the Word of God (Ezekiel 38-39), the Lord God Himself will, one day, destroy Russia, Iran and their allies and wipe Damascus, Syria off the map (Isaiah 17:1).

So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ and know He is coming and will eventually destroy all these and the other nations of the world, including, perhaps, even the USA, as we turn our back on both God and Israel. And, let us pray for “the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)” which can only come when the Prince of Peace returns to destroy His enemies and bring in His kingdom. So, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

WHOSE GOT the NUKES?

Good morning, blog readers, from mostly cloudy and warm (68 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 30 robins, 7 grackles, 6 deer (including 3 fawns), 6 geese, 5 red-winged blackbirds, 5 crows, 3 cardinals, a dove and heard 2 bullfrogs croaking! Thank You, Jesus!

When we think of nuclear weapons, we tend to think of the “big three” countries: Russia, China and the United States. However, you might be surprised at how many other countries have them. The Staff at Prophecy News Watchers recently wrote: “China is expanding its nuclear arsenal more rapidly than any other country, now possessing three times the number of warheads that India has, according to a report released on Monday by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), a Swedish think tank.

Meanwhile Pakistan maintains a rough parity with India in terms of the number of nuclear warheads. Russia and the U.S. remain far ahead of all other countries, together accounting for 90% of the world’s nuclear weapons. The SIPRI analysis indicates that China’s nuclear warheads increased from 410 in January 2023 to 500 by January 2024, with further growth anticipated. India has 172 (from 164 in 2023 warheads while Pakistan has 170 (unchanged from 20230 warheads.

According to SIPRI, the role of nuclear weapons as a deterrent has increased amid ongoing geopolitical turmoil, such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Israel-Hamas conflict.” And, speaking of Israel, PNW reported: “Regarding IsraeI’s ballistic missile capabilities, up to 50 warheads are likely designated for Jericho ballistic missiles, although Israel has never officially acknowledged possessing such missiles. SIPRI reports Israel is upgrading its missile arsenal from Jericho 2 to Jericho 3, which has a range of up to 4,000 km.”

Let me remind you, in case you didn’t know, John reported in Revelation 6:7-8, “And when He (Jesus) broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, ‘Come.’ And I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.” Question: “Could this be as a result of a nuclear weapon?” Stay tuned, since Jesus told us that one of the “signs” leading up to His return” would be “wars and rumors of war” (Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7 and Like 21:9).

Yes, this is “scary stuff.” But, Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 24:6, “And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of war; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.” Let me remind you that Jesus could be returning at anytime for His bride, the church, made up of all the “born again” believers in Jesus (John 3:3) Who have been saved by God’s grace through faith in Christ, His death, burial and resurrection (I Corinthians 15:1-4) and not by works (Ephesians 2:8, 9). SIGNS of the TIMES: PART 2!

Good morning, blog readers, from windy, rainy and muggy (66 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 12 robins and heard 2 bullfrogs croaking ! Thank You, Jesus!

Yesterday, I gave you four “signs of the times,” leading up to the second coming of Christ from an article by Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries. Today, I would like to give you two more:

#4. There is a new level of calling evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20). Hamas is celebrated around the world! Christians are persecuted like never before.

#5. The world is leaderless. There is not one global leader to whom the world looks. Governments everywhere operate like the Keystone Kops. World War II could easily erupt as a result. The world is unsure of just who is running the White House. The stage is being set for a Mr. Fix-It, whom the world will celebrate. They just want stability and someone in charge to enforce peace and security.” Sounds to me (Doug) like the Antichrist is “waiting in the wings” to make an appearance to do just that, though he will eventually go into a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and declare to the world that he alone is God to be worshipped or face death, according to Revelation 13.

So, dearly beloved in Christ, stay on the alert (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. SIGNS of the TIMES!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and warm (76 degrees) where, on my morning walk, I saw: 38 robins, 10 doves, 5 grackles, 4 red-winged blackbirds, a bunny, a cardinal and a crow! Thank You, Jesus!

This reprint of a Jan Markell (Olive Tree Ministries) article really got my attention this morning. Jan wrote: “Time flies. Years race by. But, 2024 has been a stunner in many ways. And many events remind me that the world is running out of time before the last act of a major drama plays out. In other words, the Church Age is winding down. Let me highlight some (four) of the events from this current year that have convinced me of this.

1. Artificial intelligence is being refined to rule the world. The goal is that it will be smarter than mankind. And the Antichrist will need this system to run his global kingdom. Even now, Microsoft CoPilot AI demands to be worshipped. Technology has gone too far. The inanimate is god-like.

2. The aberrant is celebrated as normal and should be the world standard. In the predicted end-time decline of man’s character, we are watching the homosexual and trans movement hailed, and the lovers of biblical values be persecuted and jailed. The sanctity of life is scoffed at. As predicted, mankind lives for money and power at the expense of everyone and anyone.

3. Too many churches are majoring in minors and furthering unsound doctrine. There are wolves among the flock. Church members hear about their best life now; about being purpose-driven and about attracting ‘seekers’ to church. Sin is avoided. Eschatology (Bible prophecy) is scoffed at and marginalized. Pulpits are ‘woke.'”

4. There is a rush to global government. And strangely, unusual power is being given to the corrupt World Health Organization, who could end up being the leader of the world. They met in May and could use another pandemic to unite the world. The stage was set with COVID. They have targeted 2025 as a possible timeline.”

RUSSIA & NORTH KOREA!

Good morning, blog readers, from partly sunny/cloudy and warm (75 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 51 robins, 3 deer, a dove and heard the bullfrogs! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from Reuters, got my attention this morning: “Putin vows to support North Korea against the United States.”

In the article, Hyonhee Shin, Josh Smith and Guy Faulconbridge reported: “Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed on Tuesday to deepen trade and security ties with North Korea and to support it against the United States, as he headed to the reclusive nuclear-armed country for the first time in 24 years.

US and South Korean officials believe North Korea has sold Soviet-era artillery, rockets and other military equipment to aid Russia in its war against Ukraine – now in its 27th month since the first year of the conflict. The sales reportedly include as many as 10,000 shipping containers holding nearly 5 million artillery shells. Both countries have denied the accusations. In exchange, Russia is believed to have provided economic aid to North Korea, whose economy has contracted every year since 2020, with a gross domestic product per capita of around 1 K.” All I (Doug) can say is “stay tuned and watch for these two communist countries which, I believe, will be among “the kings from the east” which are prophesied in Revelation 16:12 to possibly destroy or weaken America at sometime in the future.

P.S. For those of you who are interested in earthquakes because of what Jesus said about them in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, watch for them to increase in “frequency and intensity” like “birth pains,” as we get closer to the Lord’s return. FYI, over the last 24 hours, according to the USGS, there were 7 “moderate” (5.0, 5.2, 5.2, 5.5, 5.5, 5.6, 5.8) quakes in the Kermadec Islands Region, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Solomon Islands and Tonga (2). Stay tuned!

WARSHIPS in CUBA!

This recent headline, from Fox News.com, got my attention this morning: “Putin’s fleet of warships is direct warning to Biden, experts say.”

In the article, Anders Hagstrom reported: “A fleet of warships entered Cuban waters on Wednesday as they prepare to hold military drills in the Caribbean. The deployment is likely a warning to President Biden after he gave approval for Ukrainian forces to strike some targets within Russia using U.S. weaponry, according to Rebekah Koffler, strategic intelligence analyst and author of ‘Putin’s Playbook.’ Russian President Vladimir Putin is telling Washington, ‘we can touch you,’ Koffler said.

Hagstrom continued: “Putin wants to be close to the U.S. homeland at this time when the Russia-Ukraine crisis is on a highly escalatory trajectory – given Biden’s authorization to Ukraine. If something goes wrong and Ukraine strikes critical targets in Russia close to major cities, the Russian military can enable the Cubans to strike targets inside the U.S. or strike U.S. interests,” she said.” All I (Doug) can say is: “Stay tuned and watch to see if these “rumors of war” turn into a “war.”

And, let me also remind you of the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 where, at sometime in the future, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel to “capture spoil, to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, cattle and goods and to capture great spoil” with, perhaps, only a mild protest I believe (and I could be wrong) from Europe and the United States. What we do know for sure is that the Lord God Himself will come to Israel’s defense and destroy the invaders (Russia and her allies) which you can read about in Ezekiel 38:18-39:29. So, stay tuned! CLIMATE VACCINES!

This headline, from last month’s Technocracy News and Trends really got my attention this morning: “One Health: Climate Vaccines Are Coming For The Cattle, Then For Humans!”

In the article, Yudi Sherman asked the question: “Who gives Bill Gates and a bunch of lunatic bio-scientists the right to inject life-altering substances into all the cattle (and other livestock critical for food) of the world? No one! How about all the humans on Earth? Answer: “No one!” How about all the humans on Earth? No one! One Health thinking is off the rails: first, climate change (the ecosystem) is causing diseases in animals (the pivot), the animals, which are jumping to humans (the targets). This phony scheme is fraudulent from end to end , and if it is not stopped, it threatens all life on earth. I wrote in January that the only way to stop these genetic maniacs is to ‘take away their keycards and their containment suits, immediately escort them out of their laboratories, permanently ban them from any other scientific research for life, and then raze the buildings to the ground.” Note: “If you can’t grasp the seriousness of this, then you may be marked for depopulation – TN Editor

Keep in mind, there is an evil plan underway, straight from hell, to shrink the population of the earth to make it more “livable and functional.” Let me also remind you, from the Bible (John 8:44) that Satan (aka, the devil) is a “liar and the father of lies” whose desire is to rule the world, destroy the true church of Jesus Christ which is made up of all those who have agreed with God they are sinners who need a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believed He died on a cross for their sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all their sins and give them eternal life (John 3:16). But, according to Revelation 13-22, the Antichrist will rule the world until Jesus returns to judge the earth and set up His glorious kingdom which, according to Revelation 20:1-7, I believe (not all Christians do) will last for 1,000 years, at which time Satan will make another attempt to defeat Jesus and His people, only to be defeated and cast into hell for eternity by Christ. Glory to God!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! So, may we, in the meantime, continue to watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. BYE, BYE, MISS AMERICAN PIE!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (55 degrees) Wisconsin where. on my morning walk, I saw: 18 robins, 3 deer and heard the bullfrogs croaking from the pond!

This morning’s headline, from the Gatestone Institute, sadly got my attention: “As US Is Being Encircled by Enemies, the US Administration Wants Israel to Surrender to Terrorists!”

In the article, Majid Rafizadeh reported: “While Russian warships, including a nuclear submarine, this week docked in Cuba, and with China building a major deep-water port in Peru that could serve the Chinese military, the US administration is pressuring only Israel to allow the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas to win the war it launched against Israel on October 7.

Instead of supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against coordinated and sustained attacks, the Biden administration’s public wavering suggests a pro-terrorist shift in US policy away from Israel. This shift represents a betrayal that leaves Israel in the no-win position of either rejecting US proposals, or allowing Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis and other Iranian-backed terrorist groups to keep trying to advance their goal of ultimately destroying Israel.”

Let me remind Israel’s enemies that the Lord God has said, in Jeremiah 31:35-36, “Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for light by day, and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the Lord of hosts is His name: If this fixed order departs from before Me, declares the Lord, then the offspring of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.” Then, there is Zechariah 2:8 where the Lord God says: “For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.”

So, let me warn all of Israel’s enemies, you don’t want to mess with the Lord God when it comes to Israel. And, let me warn all of Israel, without the Lord Jesus as your Messiah and Savior, you will spend your eternity in hell. So, if you haven’t already done so, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
