Good morning, blog readers, from rainy and cool (58 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 12 robins, 2 deer and a dove! Thank You, Jesus!

As many of you, who have been following my blogs or reading my books know, I have a special place in my heart for my favorite gospel writer, Dr. Luke who, in Luke 21:111, told us that, according to Jesus, one of the “signs” leading up to His return would be: “pestilence” or “plagues in various places.”

And so, I was not surprised by this headline from yesterday’s AP (Associated Press): “WHO (World Health Organization) declares mpox outbreaks in Africa a global health emergency as a new form of virus spreading. Cases were confirmed among children and adults in more than a dozen countries and a new form of the virus spreading. Few vaccine doses are available on the continent. Earlier this week, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the mpox outbreaks were a health emergency with more than 500 deaths, and called for international help to stop the virus’ spread.” And, if you want to read more of the “signs of the times” to come, according to Jesus, read Matthew 24, Mark 13, along with Luke 21.

As I often say to my fellow believers in Jesus, “stay tuned” and continue to “watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes.” And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by simply agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from partly sunny/cloudy and warm (71 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 10 robins, 3 deer and a bunny! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning, I woke up to the following headlines from yesterday’s news:

#1. Pentagon says an attack by Iran on Israel is ‘certainly possible’ this week: ‘We need to take it seriously,’ according to Pentagon Press Secretary Major General Pat Ryder

‘#2. Iran rejects ‘impudent’ calls to stand down threat to attack Israel.

#3. Iran says it will launch direct attack on Israel if Gaza talks fail.

#4. Israel readies for Iran attack, Netanyahu denies claims of sabotaging deal.

#5. Blinken postpones visit due to Iranian response, security concerns.

And, the “rumors of war” in the Middle East continue to accelerate at a rapid pace.

The Hebrew Scriptures tell us that we are to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).”

But, they also tell us that there will be no “peace” until the Prince of Peace returns to defeat His enemies and usher in His kingdom. We read, in Isaiah 9:6, 7: “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over His kingdom. to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forever more. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.”

Now, personally, I believe the Jewish Messiah has come in the person of Jesus of Nazareth; others do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah and are still waiting for “superman” to come. I suggest you read and heed Daniel 9:24-27, so that you are not deceived by this false “peacemaker” whose one desire is to be God and rule the world. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (52 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 8 deer, 3 robins, a bunny, heard 3 cardinals, a dove and saw a plane! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning, I woke to find that, of late, there had been a “light” (4.4) earthquake near Los Angeles with three “very minor” (2.8, 2.6, 2.6) aftershocks. According to CNN, “The shallow quake was only 7.5 miles deep and directly under the populated areas of Los Angeles. Then, today, there was a “moderate” (5.1) quake in Syria which was felt in Lebanon and Israel. The Jewish News Syndicate reported: “There were reports of collapsed houses near the epicenter, but no reports of injuries. Monday’s shaking in L.A. had the Los Angeles Fire Department go into ‘earthquake mode,’ with crews at 106 fire stations doing surveys of their districts. There were no reports of injuries or structural damage, the department said when the check was complete.” Thank You, Jesus!

And Jesus said, in Matthew 24:7, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.” Oh, and according to my favorite gospel writer, Dr. Luke, he quoted Jesus as saying, “and there will be “great earthquakes” which, according to the Richter Scale, would be of a magnitude 8.0+ which, if you dare, you can read about in Revelation 6:12-14, 11:13 and 16:18-21.

Remember, Jesus told His disciples, in Mark 13:33, 35, 37: “keep on the alert” or, as I like to say, “stay tuned” and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from mostly sunny/partly cloudy and cool (65 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a gaggle of geese, 6 seagulls, 3 doves, 2 cranes, 2 ducks, 2 robins, a crow and a squirrel! Thank You, Jesus!

These headlines, from News Nation (Judy’s and my favorite TV news program), really got my attention this morning:

#1. Israeli intelligence suggests Iran will retaliate ‘within days,’ even before the 8/15 ceasefire talks. Would be retaliation for the death of former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

#2. Harris, Walz face pressure from the left over Israel-Hamas war.

#3. US sends guided missile sub to the Middle East due to rising tensions between Israel., Iran and Lebanon: Pentagon

#4. IDF (Israel Defense Force): Lebanon Launches 30 rockets toward Northern Israel overnight.

Certainly, there is a lot going on in the Middle East between Israel and her enemies, not to mention the continuation of the Russia/Ukraine war which seems to be never-ending.

And Jesus said to His disciples, then and now, in Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7 and Luke 21:9: “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war.” Stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by simply agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24, and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and warm (74 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 crows, 2 deer, a dog and a robin. Thank You, Jesus!

From 1968-1973, some of you, not me, may have watched a TV program called “The Mod Squad!” What made me think of that program was, get this, the six “moderate” (5.0-5.6) earthquakes which, according to the USGS, occurred in or near Fiji, Japan (3) and New Zealand (2) over the last 24 hours. P.S. I know I have a weird sense of humor and trivia. Sorry about that! Not really!

P.S. You might be interested to know that I just finished writing a “rough draft” of my sixth book called “Discernment” which I personally believe is lacking in many of our churches today. I will let you know when I have it published on Amazon.

In the meantime, let me encourage my dear brothers and sisters in Christ to “fix your eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2) and keep there them, as the devil and this world keep us distracted from reading, believing and taking to heart the Word of God, the Bible.

Good morning, blog readers, from partly sunny/cloudy and cool (57 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer and a robin! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning, I woke to find that, overnight, there had been a “major” (7.1) earthquake, NE of Nichinan, Japan. And there was this headline from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control): “US CDC issues second health alert for mpox virus.”

So far, I have not received any reports of damage, injuries or deaths from the earthquake. However, according to Reuters, “the current mpox in the Congo has already seen around 27,000 cases and claimed more than 1,100 lives. most of them children, since the beginning of 2023. The CDC said no cases of mpox have been reported outside central and eastern Africa at this time.”

And Jesus said, in Luke 21:10,11, “He (Jesus) continued saying to His disciples: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and, get this, “terrors and great signs from heaven.” Stay tuned!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (54 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I did not see any birds or deer. However, when I got home and looked at the USGS (United States Geological Survey) website for “earthquakes,” I noticed some unusual activity near, get this, Grapevine, California (population: 15,120, as of 2010) where there were 56 (2.5-4.5) quakes over the last 24 hours. Stay tuned!

And, for those of you who haven’t followed my blog and fascination with “earthquakes,” I have been monitoring them for about 18 years because the Lord Jesus told His disciples to watch for an increase in earthquakes before He returns to the earth to set up His kingdom. And, if you don’t believe me, get out a Bible ( and turn to Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 or Luke 21:11 and see for yourself. And, while you are there, why not read about all the “signs Jesus gave us, leading up to His return. Then, watch the news. And, you should see that the “signs of the Lord’s return” are happening right before our eyes and will continue to happen, as Jesus said they would.

This headline, from yesterday’s Jewish News Syndicate, really caught my eye this morning: “Blinken to G7: Iran, Hezbollah could attack (Israel) within 24 hours.”

In the article, Joshua Marks reported: “U. S. President Joe Biden convened his national security team in the Situation Room on Monday to discuss the situation in the Middle East. According to Marks, “Iran and its Lebanese terror proxy Hezbollah could attack Israel as early as Monday (today) , Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his counterparts from the G7 countries on Sunday.

Three sources briefed on the conference call confirmed the top American diplomat’s remarks to Axios reporter Barak Ravid. Blinken convened the meeting with the G7 allies – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom to coordinate ahead of the expected offensive by Iran and its terror proxies against the Jewish state. He stressed that reducing the impact of the expected drone and missile strikes offered the best hope of preventing an all-out war, according to the report. While Washington believes Iran and Hezbollah will retaliate against Israel for the targeted killings last week of Hezbollah mastermind Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas senior leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, it is unclear regarding what form that retaliation will take,” said Blinken. Nor he added, does Washington know the exact timing of the expected attack. However he emphasized that it could start as soon as the next 24 to 48 hours, meaning as soon as today.”

So, as I have been known to say to all the believers in Jesus: “Stay tuned and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.
