This headline, from yesterday’s Jewish News Syndicate, really got my attention this morning: “Iran said to be fearful after Israel hits missile program, air defenses.”
Joshua Marks reported: “Israel’s aerial offensive inside Iran overnight Friday caused severe damage to Tehran’s ballistic missile program, according to analyses of satellite imagery. Dubbed by Jerusalem “Operation Days of Repentance,” the strikes were in response to Iran firing a barrage of some 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on October1. Some 100 Israeli fighter jets, spy planes and refueling aircraft flew across the Middle East on Friday night to attack 20 missile and drone facilities across Iran in three waves. The Israeli strikes may have ‘significantly hampered Iran’s ability to mass produce missiles,’ Decker Eveleth, an associate research analyst at CNA, a nonprofit research organization in Washington, told Reuters after examining the satellite photos.”
This made me think of the prophecy of Ezekiel 38:1-13 where, at some time in the future, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will descend upon Israel “to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now in your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world, Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish (Spain) with all its villages, will say to you, ‘Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?”
This is a prophecy which I believe (and I could be wrong) is yet to be fulfilled, but maybe fulfilled in our lifetime. So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today, right now, by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven. Glory to God! Blessings, Doug (10/28/24)
