Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (48 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a boy on a bike and a cat! Thank You, Jesus!
This headline from FOXNEWS.com, got my attention this morning: “FBI thwarts man’s alleged plot to attack Nashville power grid with explosive-laden device.”
Greg Wehner reported: “A Columbia, Tennessee man allegedly attempted to fly a drone packed with explosives into an energy facility before the FBI stopped him from destroying the critical infrastructure, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
In a press release, the DOJ said 24-year old Skyler Philippi was arrested and charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted destruction of an energy facility. As charged, Philippi believed he was moments away from launching an attack on a Nashville energy facility to further his violent white supremacist ideology – but the FBI had already compromised his plot,” Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said. This case serves as yet another warning to those seeking to sow violence and chaos in the name of hatred by attacking our country’s critical infrastructure: the Justice Department will find you, disrupt your plot and hold you accountable.”
And Jesus said, in Matthew 24:12, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.” Did you get that? “Most people’s love will grow cold” which, I believe, we are seeing and will continue to see before Jesus returns. Question: “In light of all the hatred that exists in the world and this country, what are we, as Christians to do?” Answer: Jesus said, in Matthew 24: 43, 44, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, ‘you shall love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Personally, I believe, and I could be wrong, that our enemies will increase until Jesus returns and takes care of them. He told His disciples then and now: “Be on the alert (Mark 13:33, 35, 37)” and, I would add, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (john 3:16). And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven! P.S. Book signing today. Please pray it will go well to the glory of God. Love in Christ, Doug (11/9/24)
