THE KINGS FROM THE EAST!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cold (17 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but did hear the sound of a freight train! Thank You, Jesus, I can still hear!

This headline from today’s Gatestone Institute really got my attention: “Death Match: China’s CCP vs. American Democracy!”

In the article, Gordon Chang reported: “President Trump, according to reports, wants to go to Beijing in his first 100 days and reach a bargain with China. Unfortunately, an enduring accommodation with the Chinese regime is not possible. China is not done killing with disease.

Driven by these beliefs (replacing the Westphalian order of sovereign states with the Chinese imperial-era system), the Chinese regime has always thought it had the right to do whatever it wanted to others. Try as Americans might, they will never have amicable relations with China as long as it is ruled by the Chinese Communist Party. There can be only one survivor, either the People’s Republic of China or the United states of America.”

Interestingly enough, I believe (and I could be wrong), the Bible leans in favor of the temporary survival of the Chinese Communist Party, based on Revelation 16:12, where the apostle John wrote: “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the “kings from the east” which, I believe, will include China, North Korea, among other eastern nations who will all be destroyed by the Lord Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth to destroy His enemies and usher in His kingdom (Revelation 19:11-20:15).

So, dearly beloved in Christ, “be on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. Love, Doug (2/12/25)

ROBOTIC INSECT DRONES!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cold (10 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, for the first time since last year, I saw the return of the “Christmas dog” who, get this, has been wearing a collar of flashing lights for the third time in 3 years. And, if you don’t believe me, I’ll try taking a picture, Lord willing, tomorrow and post it online which could be a challenge for me. Stay tuned!

Now, to today’s headline: “MIT builds swarms of tiny robotic insect drones that can fly 100 times longer than previous designs.” Andrea Saravia Perez posted, in Live Science: “MIT scientists are designing robotic insects that could one day swarm out of mechanical hives and perform pollination at a rapid pace – ensuring fruits and vegetables are grown at an unprecedented level. The new technology could increase crop yields dramatically without harming the environment.”

Sounds good, right? Well, call me a “skeptic” because I am thinking we should not mess with what God has designed for crops. I could be wrong, but I am thinking we could easily weaponize these drones and use them for evil and not for good. Another reason for “discernment,” not only for crops, but also for biblical truth which I wrote about in my latest book called “Discernment” which, I believe, is still available on Amazon.

MAJOR QUAKE!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cold (13 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer and a plane! Thank You, Jesus!

This recent headline from Reuters, really got my attention: “Tsunami Warning Canceled After Powerful Quake Strikes Caribbean Sea!”

In the article, Gursimram Kaur, Nilutpal Timsina and Oliver Griffin reported: “A tsunami warning was cancelled in the Caribbean Sea after the region’s most powerful earthquake in four years struck in the sea north of Honduras on Saturday. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the quake’s magnitude as 7.6, while the German Research Center for Geosciences reported a 7.5 magnitude.” Either way, these magnitudes would be classified by the USGS as “major” (7.0-7.9) earthquakes. It was unclear if there was any movement or damage on land.”

Those of you who have been following my blogs know that I have been writing about earthquakes for some 20+ years because Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11, that, one of the “signs” leading up to His return, would be “earthquakes in various places.” And, also of note, Dr. Luke quoted Jesus as saying, “there will be “great earthquakes in various places before His return.” And, I believe it is more than just coincidence that the good doctor quoted Jesus as saying “there will be “great earthquakes” which, according to the USGS, would be 8.0+ on the Richter Scale. And, if you dare, check out Revelation 6:12-14, 11:13 and 16:18-21 to see what these “greats” will look like. Chilling!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, though we will not know the “day or the hour” of the Lord’s return (Mark 14:32), I believe we will know the “season” of His return, based on the “signs” He gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. HUMANS WON’T BE NEEDED!

Good morning, blog readers. from cloudy and cold (13 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 1 deer! Thank You, Jesus! Note: The above headline, from the 2/5/25 Technocracy News and Trends, really got my attention this morning.

In the article, Paul Joseph Watson reported: “Arch-Technocrat Bill Gates is promoting his just-released autobiography, ‘Source Code: My Beginnings, and of course, he has the chops to get on the Jimmy Fallon show. Fawning as always, Fallon was genuinely shocked to hear that humans will not be needed ‘for most things.’ Will AI write all jokes in the future. Question: “Will AI write all the jokes of the future and stand up like a lifelike avatar comedian to deliver them to the TV? This will probably haunt Fallon in the coming days – Patrick Wood, Editor

Gates added: “In the near future, humans won’t be needed ‘for most things,’ thanks to AI, but will still be required for purposes of entertainment. He went on to say: “Intelligence is rare, but that AI will start to replace great teachers and doctors over the course of the next decade. Gates went on to suggest that many types of jobs will be replaced and that people could only end up working two or three days a week, adding, “This is a bit scary. It’s completely new territory.”

All, in my opinion, to replace God which will fit right into the coming of the antichrist who, for a season, will, I believe, after the “rapture,” go into a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and declare to the world that he alone is God and to be worshiped, that is, until the Lord Jesus returns and throws him in the lake of fire for eternity. See II Thessalonians 2:1-4 and Revelation 19:11-20:15.

OH DEER!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (24 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 5 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

Let me ask you a question: “Are you familiar with Romans 8:22-23 in the Bible?” It is in these two verses that the apostle Paul tells us something about this present world in which we live and the future to come, writing: “For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons ourselves, the redemption of our body.”

William MacDonald, in his “Believers Bible Commentary” which I highly recommend to young and old believers in Jesus alike, wrote on these two passages of Scripture: “Creation looks back to the ideal conditions that existed in Eden. Then it surveys the havoc that was caused by the entrance of sin. Always there has been the hope of a return to an idyllic state, when creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption to enjoy the freedom of that golden era when we as God’s children will be revealed in glory.” All I can say is: “Come, Lord Jesus (I Corinthians 16:22)!

But, since Jesus hasn’t come, what are we, as believers in and followers of Jesus?” to do until He does come?” I like to call it “the six ws: watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.” Blessings with love in Christ, Doug (2/8/25)

HAMAS VS TRUMP: PART 2/HOW TO FOIL TRUMP’S GAZA PLAN

This headline and article from Khaled from yesterday’s Gatestone Institute, really grabbed my attention. Khaled Abu Toameh reported: “Hamas is basically saying that if the Trump Administration dares to implement the relocation and reconstruction plan, the terrorist organization will unleash a wave of terrorism against Americans and Palestinians. For the Trump plan to succeed, the US must insist on the removal of Hamas from power and disarming of all the terror groups in the region.” Let us seriously pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). and the salvation of the lost on both sides. HAMAS VS. TRUMP

Good afternoon, blog readers, from sunny, windy and cool (34 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from today’s Gatestone Institute, really got my attention: “How Hamas Plans to Foil Trump’s Gaza Plan.”

In the article, Khaled Abu Toameh reported: “Hamas is basically saying that, if the Trump administration and reconstruction dares to implement the relocation and reconstruction, the terrorist organization will unleash a wave of terrorism against Americans and Palestinians.

Hamas does not want any US intervention in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The terrorist group, together with Iran’s terror proxies, fear that this would disrupt their jihad (holy war) against Israel. For the Trump plan to succeed, the US must insist on the removal of Hamas from power and the disarming of all the terror groups in the Gaza Strip. It will take several years to rebuild the Gaza Strip and make it habitable once again. The Trump administration will be gone by then (Lord willing, that is, according to Daniel 2:21).

So, as I often say: “Stay tuned and fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2)” and keep them there while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. Blessings with love in Christ, Doug (2/6/25)

CUBAN QUAKES!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (47 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in a light mist, I saw: a gal on a bike! Thank You, Jesus, that I can still walk!

This headline caught my eye this morning: “Earthquakes Rattle Cuba After Hurricanes and Blackouts!” In the article, Renee Straker wrote: “A strong (6.8) magnitude earthquake struck off Cuba’s coast, south of Santiago de Cuba around noon local time on Sunday, adding to the misery of residents who have endured weeks of hurricanes and blackouts across the island.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake’s epicenter was about 2.4 miles south of Bartolome Maso which is part of Cuba’s Granma Province. There were early reports of some damage, but no immediate reports of injuries. There were no tsunami warnings or threats associated with the earthquake. Thank you, Jesus! P.S. This 6.8 quake, according to the USGS, would be categorized as a “strong” earthquake. Stay tuned to see if there will be any significant aftershocks. Remember, Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8 that, one of the “signs” leading up to His return, will be “earthquakes in various places.” P.S. And, get this, Dr. Luke added in Luke 21:11: “there will be great earthquakes.”

Before the 6.8 quake, another earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck the same area around 10:50 a.m. local time. The rumbling was felt across the eastern stretch of Cuba, including in bigger cities like Santiago de Cuba. Residents were left shaken. Yolando Santiago, 76, told the Associated Press that people in Santiago flocked to the streets or sat nervously in their doorways. She said she felt at least two aftershocks following the second quake, but that among friends and family, she hadn’t heard of any damage.” Thank You, Jesus! Remember, Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8, that one of the “signs,” leading up to His return, would be “earthquakes in various places.” And, Dr. Luke added, in Luke 21:11, “there will be great earthquakes” which, according to the Richter Scale, would be 8.0+ in magnitude. And, if you dare, check out Revelation 6:12-14; 11:13 and 16:18-21 to see what these will be like.

Now, personally, I believe in a “pre-trib rapture of the church” and that the believers in Jesus won’t be around for the “worst of the worst conditions on the earth,” based on I Thessalonians 4:13-18 where, in verse 18, Paul wrote: “Therefore comfort one another with these words.” I don’t know about you, but I would not be comforted to know I was going to be on the earth for what Jesus called “the great tribulation” (Matthew 24:21, 22) or the “worst time in human history.” At the same time, I also believe we may very well experience tougher times, as believers in Jesus, before He returns. So, as I learned as a Boy Scout: “Be prepared!,” while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). HISTORY’S GREATEST COME BACK?

This recent (11/6/24) headline from FOX NEWS.com, really got my attention: “World leaders react to Trump victory ‘on history’s greatest comeback.’

In the article, Benjamin Weinthal wrote: “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was one of the first world leaders to congratulate President Trump on Wednesday. Netanyahu, who is leading a seven-front existential war against Iran’s regime and its proxies, wrote on X, ‘Dear Donald and Melania Trump, congratulations on “history’s greatest comeback!” Really? In my opinion, history’s “greatest comeback of all time” was when Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life (John 3:16). And, in case you didn’t know, He is coming again to defeat His enemies and to reign on earth as “KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS! (Revelation 19:16)!” Any other “comeback” pales in comparison.

So, do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord?” If not, the Bible says you are on your way to an eternity in hell. But, there “good news!” You can change that right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believing He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
