EZEKIEL 38:5!

Good morning, blog readers. from clear and cold (11 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk under mostly clear skies, I saw a big sliver of the moon! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from today’s Gatestone Institute, grabbed my attention this morning since it was about Iran, aka, “Persia,” which the prophet Ezekiel mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5 of the Bible, as one of the nations, along with Russia, Ethiopia and Libya which will, one day in the future, invade Israel to “capture spoil and to seize plunder” from the Israelis.

The author, Majid Rafizadeh, one of my favorite sources for prophetic news, titled her article: “Iran Regime: Playing the Same Old Game Again.” In the article, Majid reported: “Adding to the regime’s apprehensions, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently repeated the need to enhance Iran’s military capabilities. His statement exposes the real intentions behind Iran’s diplomatic intentions. The regime has absolutely no interest in abandoning its nuclear ambitions or curbing its support for terrorist groups; rather it seeks to buy time and resources precisely to maintain its long-term strategic goals.

The only way to curb Iran’s aggressive ambitions is through sustained economic sanctions, military deterrence, dismantling its nuclear program, and especially regime change. No one must ever again receive 74 lashes or prolonged imprisonment for a song protesting women’s mandatory head coverings. Girls must be able to go to school again without fear of being gassed. People must be able to practice the religion of their choice without being flogged or imprisoned. And no woman or girl must ever again be murdered or flogged for declining to wear a headscarf. In 2024 alone, 975 Iranians were executed – a ‘horrifying escalation.'” The world must not make the same mistake – leaving a fanatic regime in power to wield its fanaticisms – ever again. While Western governments portrayed the JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action,) known as “the Iran Nuclear Deal” … The primary beneficiaries of the JCPOA were not the Iranian people. Instead the biggest winners were Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard CORPS (IRGC) and the regimes networks of proxy militias and terrorist organizations across the Middle East and beyond. Adding to the regime’s apprehensions, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently repeated the need to enhance Iran’s military capabilities.”

P.S. Ultimately, the Lord God Himself will take care of Iran and her proxies, as we read in Ezekiel 38-39. Thank You, Jesus! So, dearly beloved in Christ, please do not fear the Russians, Iranians or any other enemy of the “U.S., including the United States, which, I personally believe, is moving further away from God and His Word and, as result, will be judged severely for her apostasy.

VANCOUVER QUAKE!

Good afternoon, blog readers, from sunny and cold (21 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but enjoyed the walk. Thank You, Jesus!

Today, on the USGS website, I noticed there was a “light” (4.8) earthquake, 24.6 miles NW of West Vancouver, Canada where, over the years, there has been the threat of larger quakes. Also, another area to watch for quakes was Thousand Oaks, California where, today, there was a “light” (3.7 quake). NUCLEAR READINESS!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cold (7 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk for the first time in 3 days, due to the below zero temps, I was able to walk my usual 2.1 miles. Thank You, Jesus!

This recent headline, from the Daily Mail, really grabbed my attention this morning: “US launches nuclear missile to show ‘readiness’ amid fears of WWIII.

In the article, Stacy Liberatore, writing for the Daily Mail, reported: “The Us Air Force launched a hypersonic missile early Wednesday to demonstrate the nation’s nuclear deterrent ‘remains safe, secure, reliable and effective.’ The Minuteman III hypersonic missile (ICBM) exercise kicked off at 1 am (5 am ET) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, just a few hours after Russia deployed its ‘Yars’ ICBM for combat training. The Air Force, however, said Wednesdays’ launch was a scheduled exercise and ‘is part of the nation’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a credible deterrent and is not a response to current world events.’ Acting Secretary of the Air Force Gary Ashworth said: ‘Today’s Minuteman III test launch is just one of the ways the Department of the Air Force demonstrates the readiness, precision, and professionalism of US nuclear forces.”

And Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7 and Luke 21:9, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars” before His return. Scary news indeed! But, all part of God’s plan leading up to the return of Christ. So, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, stay tuned and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

D’Entrecasteaux Islands Region!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and very cold (-14 degrees) Wisconsin where I did not walk today because of the cold which is supposed to, Lord willing, let up tomorrow. We’ll see.

Now, if you’re like me, you have probably never heard of the above region before. And, knowing me, you might have guessed that it might have something to do with an earthquake. And, you would be right as, over the last 24 hours, there was a “moderate” (5.6) earthquake in the D’Entrecasteaux Islands Region region, (180 miles, NE of Samarai, Papua New Guinea.

As I have said before, you just never know where and when these quakes will occur. A special “thank you” to the USGS for recording these daily earthquakes which, according to Jesus in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, will occur like “birth pains,” that is, in frequency and intensity, before He returns. FAKE MEAT; REAL JESUS!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny, clear and very cold (-14 degrees) Wisconsin where I did not see any of God’s creatures on my morning walk which was cut short because of the cold. Thank You, Jesus, for keeping me warm and wise!

This headline, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, got my attention this morning: “Fake Meat Dangers!” In the article, Dr. Mercola wrote: “I spoke with ‘Tea Time,’ a program by Children’s Health Defense, about the dangers of fake meat products to help raise the awareness about this latest assault on human health. Fake food – including lab-grown meat, animal-free dairy and plant-based meat – is the globalist’s latest attempt to control the food supply.

The globalists are trying to replace animal husbandry with lab-grown meat, which will allow private companies to effectively control the human population. The idea that animals must be removed from agriculture to survive the planet is flawed; animals are an integral and necessary part of the restorative process.

Fake meat is an ultra-processed mixture of chemicals, GE ingredients (?), pesticides and toxic linoleic acid that will promote chronic disease. At face value, fake meat sounds like the perfect solution to end world hunger, protect animal welfare and save the planet from environmental destruction. Even a brief look below the surface reveals a much more nefarious reality, however.

To help raise awareness about this latest assault on human health, I spoke with host Polly Tommey on “Tea Time,” a program by Children’s Health Defense, about the dangers of fake meat products. Fake food – including lab-grown meat, animal-free dairy and plant-based meat – is the globalists’ latest attempt to control the food supply. Former U.S. Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger once said, “Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control people.” Controlling people is their whole agenda” which, by the way, fits right into Bible prophecy and the coming of the Antichrist, aka, the “beast” which, if you dare, you can read about in Revelation 13 of the Bible.

Yes, despite what you might have heard to the contrary, the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to the earth to defeat His enemies and usher in His kingdom. Hopefully, you will join Him when He returns. Here’s what you need to do: Agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:22-23) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). MILLINOCKET!

Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cold (-4 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in the cold which was cut in half because of the cold, I did not see any of God’s creatures but, under clear skies, did see a plane! Thank You, Jesus, for keeping me warm in the cold!

As many of you who have been following my blog know, I have been charting earthquakes for over 20 years. And, every once in a while, I point out a quake in an area where I have never heard of one before which brings me to Millinocket, Maine (population: 4,466, as of 2023) where, over the last 24 hours, there was a “very minor” (2.5) earthquake.

Before my wife and I moved to Wisconsin, we lived in Bangor, Maine where I went to Seminary and served as a Community Chaplain for the Old Capehart section of Bangor for 3 and 1/2 years and as a hospital chaplain at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. And, in case you were wondering, over the last 24 hours, there were: 15 “minor” (2.0-2.5) quakes in Alaska (6), California (4), Hawaii (2), and one each in Kansas, Maine and Texas. Thank You, Jesus!

As you may or may not know, I have been studying earthquakes for over 20 years because Jesus said, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11 that, one of the “signs” leading up to His return would be “earthquakes in various places.” He also told HIs disciples, in Mark 13:33, 35, 37) to “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37). PROVERBS 3:5-6!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cold (20 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk with about 3 inches of fresh snow, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but was thankful I was still able to walk. Thank You, Jesus!

And, thank you to my sister in Christ who, in her blog, reminded me of Proverbs 3:5, 6 which, in the NASB, is translated: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Praying for you all to have “straight paths in Christ” today to the glory of God. Love in Christ, Doug (2/16/25)

A BIG MISTAKE?

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cold (10 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in, about 6 inches of new snow, I saw: 2 deer! Thank You, Jesus, for keeping me safe!

This morning-headline from Majid Rafizadeh of the Gatestone Institute, really got my attention: “TRUMP’S FIRST BIG DISASTROUS MISTAKE!”

In the article, Majid reported: “The problem, of course, is that, after seeing what happened when Libya’s Muammar Ghaddafi gave up nuclear weapons in 2003 and Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons in 1994, no one with an IQ above single digits would ever agree to give up nuclear weapons again – especially after so many decades of immense investment and just ‘weeks ‘ from the project’s successful completion.

Regrettably, like Russia, Iran has a long track record of deceit, obstructing investigations, and stalling to buy time. Iran’s regime also has the potential to wait four years until Trump’s term in office is over, then pick it up where it left off.

The mullahs seek to lull the United States into a false sense of security. They undoubtedly hope that diplomatic engagement will allow them time to race to nuclear weapons breakout, or, at worst, another weak agreement that will enable them to rebuild their military. Whenever Iran gains financial or political leverage, it uses it against America and its allies. Since October 2023, Iran and its proxies have attacked US troops in the region more than 200 times. Iran’s nuclear facilities must be taken out, sanctions must be intensified, and the Iranian people’s fight for freedom must be supported. Trump must not waste this opportunity.”

Wow! Scary stuff! So, let us pray for our President and military leaders that they will seek God’s will and wisdom to lead this nation with strength, courage and wisdom before it is too late.

HEY JUDE!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cold (10 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk under clear skies, I saw the heavens declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1) and a plane! Thank You Jesus!

As you may or may not know, I am a “retired pastor” who still enjoys teaching Bible Study, especially Bible prophecy. Currently, I am teaching two studies: one in Luke at our condo association; the other in Jude through our church.

One of my favorite passages of Scripture is II Peter 3:18 where the apostle Peter wrote to the believers in Jesus that we are to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” So, let me ask you some questions: #1. Are you a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ which means that you have agreed with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) Who is Jesus and believed He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).” And, if you have, then I’ll see you in heaven. WHEN WE DIE!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cold Wisconsin where, on my morning walk on about 3 inches of snow, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but was reminded of Isaiah 1:18 where the prophet wrote: “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.” Please pray for Mr. Musk and his salvation

Recently, Elon Musk was asked by a little girl, “What happens to us when we die?” To which, Musk Sadly, Mr. Musk was stunned by the question and responded to the little girl: “That’s a very big question!” Then, he replied: “We don’t really know.” Now, I don’t know about you or Mr. Musk, but the Bible makes it crystal clear that, when we die, we go to one of two places, heaven or hell, based on whether or not we have agreed with God we are sinners who need a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) Who is the Lord Jesus Christ Who died on a cross for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life (John 3:16) in heaven.
