THE COMING of the ANTICHRIST?

Good morning, blog readers, from rainy and cool (38 degrees) Wisconsin where, I did not go on my morning walk because my wife, Judy, and I, were not feeling well. Please pray for our healing. Thank You!

Recently, a brother in the Lord sent me an article from Prophecy News Watch with the title: “Europe’s Road to Superpower Status: A Nation in Search of a Leader.” Let me share with you some of the article: “For decades, Europe has lived under the protective shadow of the United States, relying on American military power as its ultimate safeguard. But recent developments signal a fundamental shift – one that may propel Europe into its own as a geopolitical superpower, standing toe-to-toe with the U.S., China and Russia. In economic might, military strength, and strategic influence, the continent is waking up to a new reality: it can no longer depend on America for its survival. Instead, Europe must find its own voice, its own strength – and, ultimately, its own leader.”

Let me stop there and pick up the article, Lord willing, tomorrow, as we may be seeing the culmination of Bible prophecy and the coming of the world leader whom the Bible refers to as the “Antichrist” before the appearing of Jesus Christ. So, as Jesus told His disciples in Mark 13:33, 35, 37, “stay on the alert!”

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are exciting and scary times in which we live, as we look for “the blessed hope of the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13).” And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please become one today by simply agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). MAJOR QUAKE/NUCLEAR IRAN!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and windy (49 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 deer, 2 robins, a bunny, a dog and a rabbit! Thank You, Jesus!

Whether you care about Bible prophecy or not, the above headline really got my attention since both are prophesied in Scripture.

Headline #1: “Quake Strikes Myanmar (also known as Burma) Friday. The quake hit the country’s second most populous city, Mandalay, and was felt more than 600 miles away in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, where at least 10 people were killed, 26 injured, and nearly 50 were missing. The USGS (United States Geological Survey) estimates deaths could surpass 10,000. The earthquake caused widespread destruction, including collapsed bridges, downed power lines and damage to historic structures. “At least 694 people are dead and over 1,600 injured after the powerful (7.7) quake.”

Headline #2: “No Time Left: China and Russia Making Sure Iran Goes Nuclear Before the End of Trump’s Ultimatum.”

Majid Rafizadeh of the Gatestone Institute wrote: “Now, with Trump’s ultimatum delivered on March 7 to Iran – giving the regime a two-month deadline either to give up its nuclear and missile programs or face severe consequences – Beijing and Moscow have simply been accelerating Tehran’s efforts to join the nuclear club and to possess at least six nuclear bombs before Trump’s deadline expires.”

Let me (Doug) remind you that the Bible (Ezekiel 38-39), prophesies of a future Russian-Iranian invasion of Israel to take a “spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. Glory to God!

Jesus told His disciples, in Mark 13: 33, 35, 37: “Stay on the alert!” So, let us continue do so, as we watch and wait for more powerful earthquakes, storms, wars, rumors of wars, famines, apostasy, an increase in lawlessness, false prophets, Christs and miracles (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21) until Jesus comes or calls us home. A WHOLE LOT of SHAKING!

Good morning, blog readers, from “thunder and lightning” Wisconsin where, on my morning walk before the storms, I heard an owl “hooting!” Thank You, Jesus!

As many of you know, I have been following earthquakes for some 20+ years and haven’t recorded a lot of serious activity with them for sometime, that is, until this morning when the USGS reported, over the last 24 hours, a 5.0 quake on Easter Island, a 5.1 quake and several 5.2 quakes on Kazakstan, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea), 5.4 and 6.1quakes on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and a major (7.7) quake on Myanmar/Burma. That, my friends, is, indeed, a “whole lot of shaking” going on around the world., except for the USA, where, I believe, we are long overdue for a “big one.” Stay tuned and, remember, Dr. Luke, in his gospel (Luke 21:11), wrote of 3 future “great earthquakes” (8.0+) leading up to the Lord’s return. And, in case you forgot, the USGS has characterized anything over an 8.0 on the Richter Scale as a “great earthquake” with three of them mentioned by John in Revelation 6:12, 11:13 and 16:18. So, stay tuned and don’t be surprised if we start having larger quakes here in the USA.

So, in light of all this “doom and gloom,” let us “fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and keep them there while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Him until He comes. Love in Christ, Doug (3/28/25)

PORT HARDY!

Good morning blog readers, from cloudy and cool (39 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 robins and heard the horn of a freight train going through town! Thank You, Jesus!

As many of you who have been following my blogs know, I have been studying earthquakes from all over the world and, particularly, in the United States for some 20+ years. And, one of the areas, outside of the United States, I have been watching for earthquakes is in or near Port Hardy, British Columbia where, in the past, there have been some significant earthquakes. And, I just learned that, recently, there were two “light” (4.0) quakes, west of Port Hardy, BC. Stay tuned!

Now, keep in mind, Jesus told His disciples that one of the “signs’ leading up to His return would be: “earthquakes in various places (Matthew 24:7 and Mark 13:8). But, then, in Luke 21:11, the good doctor quoted Jesus as saying: “There will be great earthquakes” which, according to the USGS, is anything over an 8.0 on the Richter Scale. So, stay tuned and watch for these to increase in frequency and intensity like “birth pains.” Jesus told His disciples: “Stay on the alert (Mark 13:33, 35, 37).” And, I would add: keep watching, waiting, working, witnesses for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. FORMOSA!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (39 degrees) Wisconsin where I was unable to walk or write my blog due to some health issues. Nothing serious. Thank You, Jesus!

Once I was able to write a short blog, I went to the USGS website where I noticed a very minor (2.6) earthquake in Formosa, Kansas (population: 93, as of 2010) which is right in the middle of the United States. RIVERTON STRONG!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (32 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 6 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning, you may have heard, there was a “strong” (6.7) earthquake, 164 KM, WSW of Riverton, New Zealand! Question: “What country is known as the “earthquake capitol of the world?” The answer might surprise you, as it did me. It is Parkfield, California which has a bridge that spans 2 tectonic plates.”

Max Aldred of the Daily Mail warned: “The National Emergency Management Agency urged residents in nearby regions to stay clear of beaches. Residents of Southland and Fiordland should stay away from beach and marine areas as strong and unusual currents may present a danger to swimmers, surfers, people fishing, and anyone in or near the water close to shore.”

Dr. Luke wrote: “And there will be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear which are coming upon the world from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

So, what are we, as Christians, to do until Jesus comes? Answer: We are to watch for Him, wait for Him, work for Him, walk with Him, witness for Him and worship Him until He comes. Love, Doug (3/25/25)

FOUR in a ROW!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cool (28 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in a brisk, westerly wind, I saw: a bunny! Thank You, Jesus! This morning, after my walk, I went to the USGS website to see what had occurred in relation to earthquakes over the last 24 hours. And, I saw something I thought was rather unusual: 4 “very minor” (2.5-2.8) quakes almost stacked one on top of the other between Los Angeles and San Francisco Stay tuned! It may be nothing, but bears watching over time.

Let me remind you that the Lord Jesus, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, gave us “signs” to look for, leading up to His return, one of which would be: “earthquakes in various places.” So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, “fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2)” and keep them there while “watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. MODERATES to GREATS!

Good morning, blog readers, from dark, windy and cool (39 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk into an easterly wind, I saw: a deer! Thank You, Jesus!

This morning, I woke up to find that, over the last 24 hours, there were three “moderate” (5.1, 5.2 and 5.3) earthquakes in Alaska, Japan and Vanuatu. Thank You, Jesus, that these quakes were “moderates” and not “greats” which, according to the apostle John in Revelation 6:12, 11:13 and 16:18), will be devastating. And, if you don’t believe me, read these Scriptures and be thankful for God’s patience, not wanting anyone to perish (II Peter 3:9).

Please know you have a choice between eternal life and eternal damnation, heaven or hell. So, please, hear me out. Jesus came into this world to die on a cross for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life (John 3:16). SWEDE HEAVEN!

Good afternoon, blog readers, from sunny and cool (32 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 4 planes, 3 deer and a raccoon! Thank You, Jesus!

Today’s “quake of the day” was a “very minor” (2.7) earthquake, 8 km NNW of Swede Heaven, Washington, a Census Designated Place (CDP) in Snohomish County. I just love the different places where there are earthquakes, especially when they are close to large population centers like Seattle (population: 737,015, as of 2010). So, stay tuned and keep watching for “great earthquakes (8.0+) which you can read about in Revelation 6:12, 11:13 and 16:18.

THE QUAKE of the DAY!

Good morning, blog readers, from clear and cold (31 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 3 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

Those of you who have been following my blogs for some time know I have been writing a lot about “earthquakes in various places” because Jesus said, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:7, that quakes would be one of the “signs” (Matthew 24:8), leading up to His return.

So, I am thinking (and I could be wrong), these “birth pains/signs” might just come in three trimesters like a baby, increasing in frequency and intensity, as we get closer to His return. And so, while we wait for the Lord’s return, I thought I would give you “the quake of the day” for a little variety. Today’s quake: a “moderate” (5.1) quake, 37 KM WSW of Dalandzadgad, Mongolia.”

Yes, dearly beloved, Jesus is coming! And, while we will not know the “day or the hour (Mark 13:32), of His return, I believe we will know when we are “in the ballpark,” as the “birth pains increase in frequency and intensity (Mark 12:8). Jesus also said, in Mark 13:33: “Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is.” So, let us keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.
