NOTES of THANKS!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (66 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I heard 26 robins and saw 3 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

And, speaking of “thanks,” I came across a couple of “notes of thanks” that were sent to me by some of you who have either read my books or were looking forward to reading them:

GLORIOUS DAY!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (66 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw and heard lots of robins singing God’s praises! Thank You, Jesus!”

This day also made me think of one of my favorite songs by Casting Crowns: Glorious Day. Here are some of the words: One day when heaven was filled with His praises, One day when sin was as black as could be, Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin, dwelt among men, my example is He The Word became flesh and the light shined among us, His glory revealed.

Chorus: Living He loved me, Dying He saved me, Buried, He carried my sins far away, Rising He justified freely forever, One day He’s coming, Oh glorious day.

Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross for my sins, being buried in the grave and rising from the dead to forgive all my sins and give me eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). And, if you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).

DANGEROUS WEATHER?

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, misty and warm (66 degrees) Wisconsin where. on my morning walk, I saw: 2 robins and a neighbor! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from a recent Live Science, got my attention this morning: “A mysterious, 100-year cycle may have just restarted – and it could mean decades of dangerous space weather. Harry Baker wrote: “New research suggests that the unexpected intensity of the ongoing solar maximum may be partly tied to a lesser-known, 100-year cycle. If true, solar activity could spike further in the coming decades. But, some experts are skeptical.”

Now, I am no expert when it comes to “solar activity.” But, I am somewhat of an expert when it comes to Bible prophecy. As a result, this headline could just be the “tip of the iceberg,” thanks to something Jesus said nearly 2,000 years ago in Luke 21:25-28: “And there will be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars and upon earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then, they will see the Son of Man (Jesus) coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (salvation) is drawing near.”

Question: “Is He coming for you?” Answer: He is if you agree with Him you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). DISARMING IRAN?

Good morning, blog readers from stormy and mild (49 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk before the storm, I saw: 3 robins, a bunny and a neighbor. Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from today’s Gatestone Institute, grabbed my attention: “Trump’s Anti-Israel Officials Sabotaging His Efforts to Disarm Iran.” In the article, Con Coughlin wrote: “The appointment, however, of several officials to key national security positions in the Trump Administration, who vehemently oppose direct military action against Iran, has raised concerns that the White House might be backing away from its commitment to eliminate the threat Iran poses to global security.

In particular, these concerns relate to the recent appointments to the Pentagon of influential figures such as John Byers for Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (South and Southeast Asia), and Michael DiMino, a former career (CIA Military Analyst and counterterrorism official, for Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Middle East).

Similarly, concerns have arisen that DiMino will be able to use his position as the Pentagon’s new chief Middle East policy adviswer to advance an anti-Israel stance while questioning the Trump administration’s confrontational stance towards Iran.”

Let me remind you that, according to Ezekiel 38-39, in the Bible, at sometime in the future when Israel is living in peace (certainly not now), Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. Glory to God!

So, “stay on the alert (Mark 13:33, 35)” and watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). WHAT’S SHAKING?

Good morning, blog readers, from mostly cloudy and cool (47 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: the planet Venus, a dog and heard the horn of a freight train! Thank You, Jesus!

Over the last 24 fours, according to the USGS, there were 6 “moderate (5.2-5.6) earthquakes: (2 in the Kermadec Islands Region, 2 in Indonesia and 1 each in the Galapagos Islands Region and the Mid-Atlantic Ridge Region. And, there were 13 (minor) quakes in 7 different states: 5 in California, 2 in Alaska, 2 in Washington and one each in California, Idaho, Hawaii and Nevada. Stay tuned!

Let me remind you that Dr. Luke in, Luke 21:11, quoted Jesus as saying that one of the “signs” leading up to His return would be “great earthquakes” which the USGS has characterized as 8.0+ on the Richter Scale. And, remember, Jesus also said that the “signs” leading up to His return would come like “birth pains,” (Matthew 24:8) which, I take to mean, that the “signs” leading up to the Lord’s return will increase in frequency and intensity, until the baby is born. Stay tuned!

And so, if you are reading this and are not a believer in Jesus, please know the clock is ticking and you are running out of time to become one. So, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). THE BEAST SYSTEM: PART 1!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny, clear and cool (57 degrees) Wisconsin where. on my morning walk, I saw: 2 raccoons,2 robins and heard the horn of a freight train! Thank You, Jesus!

Question: “What Is the Beast System?” Well, I’m glad you asked because Stuart Murray via Substack recently answered: “It is the modern Satanic leviathan of human technological advances that allows a small group of individuals and families to enslave humanity through a network of surveillance and connectivity that spans the globe and from which there is no escape. Murray continued: “I think few people understand what technocracy is. It is being brought in at lightning speed, so everyone would do well to learn about it.

Murray continued: “By the time you finish this article, I want you to understand these three things and how they tie together. #1: “Build Back Better” was the new slogan in 2020 used by many world leaders #2. Elon Musk said he is “Dark MAGA.” #3: “Trump said you won’t have to vote anymore.”

Murray added: “Technocracy was a social movement active in the United States and Canada in the 1930s. It was seen as a third option better that partisan politics and communism. The movement proposed replacing problems with scientists and engineers. Elon Musk’s maternal grandfather was Joshua N. Haldeman (1902-1974). who was the leader of a Canadian group known as Technocracy Incorporated. He was arrested and incarcerated for a short time in Canada for his involvement with this group that was considered subversive. After 1941, he joined the Social Credit Party and was openly in favor of Universal Basic Income (UBI). Like his grandfather, Elon Musk is a fervent promoter of technocracy, social credit systems and UBI.

Murray wrote: “As a fun aside for those dot connectors out there, Nazi and SS member Werner Von Braun wrote a science fiction book in 1949 called ‘Project Mars: A Technical Tale.” In it, according to Wikipedia, “after establishing verbal communication , the humans learn about the Martians’ social structure and government which is run by 10 males under the leadership of ‘the Elon.’ Is it just coincidence that Maye Musk named her son ‘Elon?’ who does seem quite taken with everything involving Mars.” As my old friend, Arte Johnson used to say: “Very interesting!” Lord willing, Part 2 tomorrow.

And so, dearly beloved in Christ, these are both exciting and scary times in which we live. And, let me remind you that, when Jesus’ disciples were often afraid, He would simply tell them: “Do not be afraid (Matthew 14:17, 17:7, 28:10, Mark 5:36, 6:50, Luke 12:4, John 6:20, Acts 18:9), reminding them in I John 4:4: “Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world!” Thank You, Jesus for that “blessed assurance!” Lord willing, Part 2 tomorrow. In the meantime, dearly beloved in Christ, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes.

CASCADIA EARTHQUAKE!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (49 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in a freezing rain, I got soaked. Thank You, Jesus, for warm clothes!

As many of you who have been following my blogs know, I study earthquakes, mainly because Jesus said that, one of the “signs” leading up to His return, would be: “earthquakes in various places (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11).

And, get this, today, one of those places for earthquakes was Julian, California (population: 1,502) where there was a “moderate” (5.2) quake which was followed by 8 smaller quakes which ranged from 2.5 to 4.0 on the Richter Scale which brings me to the 1700 Cascadia Quake.

According to the Earthquake Hazard Program, “This earthquake was one of the largest in the history of North America which was found by combining First Nations and Native American oral histories with tree-ring dating and other geological evidence in North America and an ‘orphan tsunami’ in Japan. The location has been assigned to the approximate center of the Cascadia Subduction Zone, based on the conclusion that an event of this size likely ruptured nearly all this 1,100 km zone. When this earthquake occurred, the Cascadia region of North America (present day Vancouver, British Columbia, western Washington, Oregon and Northern California was pretty much unknown to Europeans, but it was by no means uninhabited. Many groups have oral histories of violent shaking, building damage, sea waves with major flooding and people killed.” This quake serves as a reminder that there were “great earthquakes” in the past and more to come, based on the Bible which records three “great earthquakes” to come in Revelation 6:12, 11:13 and 16:18.

So, keep an eye on California and the Vancouver Island Region for future, perhaps even, “great,” (8.0+) quakes, leading up to the return of Christ.

QUAKES & SHAKES!

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy and cool (46 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a bunny, a deer and a plane! Thank You, Jesus!

You might be interested to know that, over the last 24 hours, there have been 10 “minor” (2.5-3.5) earthquakes in California (one near Los Angeles), another in New Mexico and a “light” (4.1) quake in Alaska. And, outside of the U.S., there was a “moderate” (5.5) quake in Myanmar and a “moderate” (5.3) quake in Indonesia.

We should be thankful these quakes are “minor” to “light” (2.5-4.1). Remember, Jesus told His disciples that, before His return, these so-called “birth pains,” leading up to His return, would increase in frequency and intensity.” And so, He told them to “be on the alert” (Mark 13:22-27).

And so, let us keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. Please know I love you and am praying for your salvation, if you are not a believer in Jesus) and your sanctification if you are a believer in Jesus. Love in Him, Doug (4/14/25)

TONASKET!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cool(46 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 7 deer, 5 robins, 2 boys on scooters and heard an owl! Thank You, Jesus!

Now, if you’re like me, you have, never before, heard of a place called Tonasket. It is a city in Okanogan County, Washington with a population of 1,103, as of the 2010 census and, as you might have guessed, where there was a “minor” (3.2) earthquake today. In addition, there were also 6 “moderate” (5.0-5.9) quakes in or near the South Sandwich Islands, Papua New Guinea, Burma, Tajikistan and the Kuril Islands.

Lord willing, in about 30 minutes, I will be leaving for worship at our home church. Please pray for my wife, Judy, who has been ill with a bad cough for almost a month, Thankfully, she is doing much better and, Lord willing, will join me for Easter worship next Sunday.

Oh, and let me remind you that Jesus is coming! And, even though we will not know the “day or the hour” of His return (Mark 13:32), I do believe we will know the “season of His return,” based on the “signs” Jesus gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. So, “stay on the alert (Mark 13:33, 35, 37)” and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. QUAKES & DEER!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (32 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 7 deer, 2 robins and a spectacular moon! Thank You, Jesus!

Today is one of those days when there isn’t a lot of news to report, although I always get excited to tell you about the number of deer I saw (7). Thank You, Jesus! Still, over the last 24 hours, there was also a “strong” (6.1) earthquake in Papua, New Guinea, 4 “moderate” quakes” (5.0-5.3) in Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the West Indian-Antarctic Region, Tonga and a “minor” (3.5) quake in New Mexico. Thank You, Jesus!

Sometimes, someone will say to me, “You, Christians, have been talking about Jesus’ return for years. How come He hasn’t come? First of all, only God knows when Jesus is coming, according to Matthew 24:36. And yet, Jesus did give His disciples “signs” to look for which will lead up to His coming. Read Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. He also told us, in Matthew 24:8, that the “signs” would come like “birth pains,” meaning they will increase in “frequency and intensity,” as we get closer to His return. So, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) and watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. Blessings with love in Christ, Doug And, I almost forgot.
