MOVING ON!

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy/sunny and cool (59 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk around our temporary living quarters, I heard two robins singing God’s praises! Thank You, Jesus!

Now that my wife and I are sort of “settled” in our new home, I will continue my daily blog with thoughts from Bible prophecy, which I just love writing about, in light of the fact that Jesus’ coming has been prophesied in Scriptures like Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. So, please check out these Scriptures and let me know what You think or ask a question which, hopefully, I can answer for you. Lord willing, I’ll write again tomorrow. Love in Christ, Doug (5/25/25)

QUAKES in VARIOUS PLACES!

Good morning, blog readers, from rainy, windy and cool (43 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: about 40, doves, some red-winged blackbirds, several bunnies and a dog. Thank You, Jesus! ! In Matthew 24:7, Jesus told His disciples that, before His return to the earth, “there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” And, one of those places just happened to be: Sishilichengzi, China. Say that one time fast, if you can!

As I have told you numerous times before, Jesus said, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11 that, one of the “signs” leading up to His return, would be “earthquakes in various places.” Today that place just happened to be Sishilichengzi, China. Stay tuned to see where these will be tomorrow.

Let me ask you: “How are you doing spiritually?” Do you believe that Jesus came to the earth to die for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16)? If you do, you are on your way to heaven. If not, then you are on your way to an eternal hell. But, there’s “good news.” You can reverse course and have eternal life through faith in Jesus as your Savior. Please know I will be praying I will see you in heaven. Love in Christ, Doug (5/20/25)

AN ACTIVE HOMESTAR!

Good afternoon, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (49 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: about 30 robins, 3 bunnies, 3 deer and a cardinal! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from today’s “Live Science,” really got my attention: “Our home star, that is, the sun, has had a particularly active week with the the strong solar flare of 2025 so far recorded on Wednesday morning (May 14). Solar flares are super intense bursts of electromagnetic radiation released from intense from regions of intense magnitude on the sun’s surface.

The X-2.7 flare came less then 24 hours after another powerful flare X-class flare on May 13 X-class flare on May 13, two significant flares reported on either side. This solar activity triggered radio blackouts across North and Southeast Adia. And, more flares could be heading our way in the coming days.

Meanwhile, experts have warned that the U.S. isn’t yet prepared for the impact of major storms, which may increase in frequency in the coming years as the ongoing solar max continues with a mysterious, 100-year solar cycle.”

And Jesus said, in Luke 21:25: “There will be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars, and on earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves., men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man (Jesus) coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Hallelujah! Glory to God!

Question: “Are you excited or fearful of the Lord’s coming?” You should be excited if you are a believer in Jesus. And, scared if you are not. But, you can change all that, right now, by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Jesus) (Romans 3:23, 24) and believing He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:1.” That’s it, and heaven will be your eternal home. And, if you don’t believe in Jesus to save you from your sins, then hell will be your eternal home. My prayer is that I will see you in heaven. Love and blessings in Christ, Doug (5/19/25).

STATES with QUAKES

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (50 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: about 40 robins, some red-winged blackbirds, doves, 4 bunnies,2 geese and a couple of crows! Thank You, Jesus, for the variety of birds and animals!

This morning, I thought I would change things up a bit and give you a summary of the earthquakes (2.0+) in the states for the previous week. So, based on my research from the USGS (United States Geological Survey), there were; 12 earthquakes (2.5-4.9) in 7 states (Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico and Oregon). So, stay tuned and see if these will increase in “frequency and intensity,” as Jesus said they would, in Matthew 24:8, before His return. Almost time for worship. Blessings with love and prayers, Doug (5/18/25)

REMEMBER the ALAMO!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and warm (62 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, to the best of my knowledge, I saw: 43 robins, 4 doves, 2 dogs, 2 grackles and a crow! Thank You, Jesus!

Years ago, my wife and I visited my brother and his family in San Antonio, Texas where we got to see the Alamo. Little did I know there was another Alamo in California which, according to Wikipedia, “is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Contra Costa in the San Francisco Bay Area’s Bay Region, approximately 28 miles east of of San Francisco.” Stay tuned!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! Are you ready? Are you excited? You should be. And, if you’re still not a believer in Jesus, you can become one right now by simply agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believing He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven! Love, Doug (5/16/25)

QUAKES in the STATES+ OTHERS!

Good morning, blog readers, from foggy and cool (59 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk with a clear mind, despite the fog, I was able to record: 37 robins, 2 deer and 2 doves! Thank You, Jesus! And, speaking of “quakes in the states,” over the last 24 hours, there were also 17 (mostly minor (2.0-2.9) quakes in 8 states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Washington.

And, as I have said numerous times before, quoting Jesus from Mark 13:33, 35, 37: “Stay on the alert” and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, why not become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).” And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven! Love in Christ, Doug 5/15/25)

VALMY!

Good evening, blog readers, from sunny and warm (75 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 2 deer and a bunch of robins! Thank You, Jesus!

Now, if you’re like me, you had never heard of Valmy before. According to the Daily Mail, it is a city in Nevada where, today, there was a “violent (4.1) earthquake in a region where the Earth’s crust is slowly tearing apart. The small town is also along the Pleasant Valley fault that is capable of producing a quake up to a 7,7 magnitude.” All I can say is, to quote Jesus in Mark 13:33, 35, 37)., “stay on the alert!” Blessings on your evening with love in Christ, Doug (5/14/25)

TIME for a CHANGE!

Good morning, blog readers, from rainy and warm (60 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in the rain, I saw: numerous birds, including a mother duck and her babies! Thank You, Jesus!

Now, you may have noticed something different about my blog: there was no “creature count.” That is because my early onset dementia has made it difficult, even with a notepad, to keep track of the numbers of birds and animals I see on my walk each day.

Yes, weather permitting, I will still walk every day and tell you what I see on my walk, even though it may not be as descriptive as in the past. Please know I love you, appreciate your support and look forward to blogging with you every day I am able. To God be the glory!

Love in Christ,

Doug (5/13/25)

SET the TABLE!

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (37 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: red-winged blackbirds, bunnies, a cardinal, a crow, a deer, a bunch of robins and Venus shining brightly in the eastern sky! Thank You, Jesus!

Question: “Can you remember a time when your mother told you to “set the table.” I can. Well, it just so happened that, over the last 24 hours, there was a “minor” (2.5) earthquake , 8 km, ESE of Forks, Washington and a “moderate” (5.6 earthquake), 124 KM, W of Rikasi, China. Get it? Forks and China to “Set the Table!”

I don’t know about you, but I need to laugh now and then to take a break from the seriousness of the news which, you have probably noticed, isn’t very positive these days. But, there’s “good news” from John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

In other words, you have a choice, as to where you will spend your eternity: heaven or hell. Please know “salvation (going to heaven) has nothing to do with doing “good works,” as many have been wrongly taught. It’s all about Jesus dying on a cross for our sins, being buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life. Please know God loves you, I do too, and am praying I will see you in heaven. Love in Christ, Doug (5/12/25)

WHERE ARE the EARTHQUAKES?

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (41 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 25 robins, 4 red-winged blackbirds, 3 doves, 2 bunnies and the planet Venus shining brightly! Thank You, Jesus!

For some 20+ years, I have been telling you about a future increase in earthquakes as one of the signs leading up to Jesus’ return, according to Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11.

And yet, it just hasn’t happened. Question: “Was Jesus wrong?” No, based on His Word, the Bible. In fact, He said the “signs,” of His return, including earthquakes, would increase, like “birth pains, in “frequency and intensity.” Then, He will come which is why He told us, in Mark 13:33, 35, 37) to “stay on the alert (Mark 13:33, 35, 37).”

For example, over the last 24 hours, the USGS has recorded 16 (2.5-4.2) quakes in 5 different states (Alaska, California, New Mexico, Ohio and Texas which might just be what I like to call a “first trimester sign” of the Lord’s return. So, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes, whenever that is. As my brother Dick often says: “Keep looking up!” Love in Christ, Doug (5/9/25)
