IRAN NUCLEAR DEAL!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cool (27 degrees) Wisconsin where, so far, I have not see any of God’s creatures.

Many of you are probably watching what is going on in Russia and are oblivious to another hotspot for war: Iran. Today’s headline, from the Gatestone Institute, should be an eye-opener and cause for concern: “Biden Administration’s Nuclear Deal: ‘This Isn’t Obama’s Iran Deal. It’s Much, Much Worse.'”

In the article, Majid Rafizadeh reports: “By every indication, the Biden Administration appears to have given away the store … What is more, the deal appears to deepen Iran’s financial and security relationship with Moscow and Beijing, including through arms sales.” – Statement from 49 US Republican Senators, March 14, 2022.

Regionally speaking, a nuclear deal will undoubtedly escalate Iran’s interference in the domestic affairs of other countries, despite what the advocates of the nuclear deal argue. Iran’s leaders, for a start, never honored their earlier ‘commitment,’ so why would anyone think they would honor this one?… To top it off, the US State Department just confirmed that Russia and its war-criminal Vladimir Putin could keep Iran’s ‘excess uranium.’ Seriously? So Putin can use Iran’s uranium to threaten bombing his next ‘Ukraine?'”

Now, let me remind you that, despite this “deal,” the Lord is still in control and will take care of both Russia and Iran according to Ezekiel 38 and 39 which I highly recommend you read, as you will see how the Lord takes care of His enemies.

“Wars and rumors of war.” Who said that? Jesus in Matthew 24:6. One of the “signs of the times” He gave us leading up to His return. So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and not on President Biden (although we should be praying for him (I Timothy 2:1, 2) and get ready for tougher times while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, c’mon now, simply agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Blessings and prayers, Doug (3/26/22)

RUMORS of WAR FLYING!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (33 degrees) Wisconsin where so far, I have seen a dove and a robin!

These recent headlines are all about either “wars” or “rumors of war,” two of the “signs” Jesus said would increase, like “birth pains,” (Matthew 24:8) before His return (verse 6). Check them out:

#1. Putin ally warns of nuclear dystopia due to United States (Reuters)

#2. With US focus on Ukraine, North Korea launches a powerful new ICBM (New York Times).

#3. Russian ambassador to Syria: Israel is provoking us to react (Jerusalem Post)

#4. China Closer to Dominating Southeast Asia (Gatestone Institute)

#5. Two Iranian drones shot down over Iraq were heading to Israel (Jerusalem Post)

#6. Palestinians: US Weakness Facilitates the Rise of Jihad and Fundamentalism (Gatestone Inst.)

Russia, the United States, Ukraine, North Korea, Syria, China, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Palestine: Either at war or threatening war! Wow x 10! And, those are just the ones I have read about!

Now, if you’re like me, you have a question: “What is “dystopia?” Here’s Webster’s definition: “A hypothetical place, society or situation in which conditions and the quality of life are dreadful,” kind of like in the Ukraine right now. Can you imagine that here in the U.S. and everywhere else in the world, all at the same time. God does in His Word. See Zephaniah 1:14-18 or Revelation 6-19.

All to usher in the return of Jesus Christ to the earth to set up His glorious kingdom where all who have trusted Him as Lord and Savior will live and reign with Him in an “Eden-like” world for, I believe, 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6). I can only imagine! Then, eternity with God and Jesus in a “new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21, 22).” Glory to God! So, let me ask you: Do you agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24)? And, do you believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16)? If you do, then I’ll see you in heaven. And, to the believers in Jesus, you know the 5 “W”s: Watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. Blessings, Doug (3/25/22)

REVELATION 6:7, 8!

Good morning, blog readers, from rainy/snowy and cold (33 degrees) Wisconsin where, outside my window, I just saw two robins bob bob bobbing along!

This morning, I read Britt Gillette’s latest article, “A Global Food Crisis Is Unavoidable” which I would highly recommend which, by the way, lines up with what the apostle John saw in Revelation 6:7, 8 where He wrote: “And I looked, and behold an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword (war), and with famine and with pestilence (plague) and by the wild beasts of the earth.”

Hmmmm! War, famine and pestilence. Where have we heard that before? Well, if you’ve been following along, you would say: “Jesus,” in Matthew 24:7 where He said: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and in various places there will be famines and, drum roll, “earthquakes.” And speaking of which, there have been three “strong” earthquakes over the last two days: a 6.7, 62 km south of Hualien, Taiwan, a 6.7 in the North Mariana Island Region and a 6.0, 36 km ESE of Port-Olry, Vanuatu. Earthquakes in various places!

I don’t know about you, but things are beginning to look a lot like the “Trib” or “Tribulation” Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 and Revelation 6-19 which means His coming is getting closer with each day and sign. Are you ready? And, will you go with Him when He comes? You will if you have agreed with Him you are sinner (Romans 3:23, 24) Who needs a Savior (Jesus) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16).

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37): watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him until He comes. Blessings, Doug (3/24/22)

RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA!

Good morning, blog readers, from rainy and cool (39 degrees) Wisconsin where it is dark and I am unable to see any of God’s creatures. Stay tuned! I just saw a dove!

Here are some interesting and scary headlines about Russia from the last two days:

#1. NATO realizing Russia may not stop with Ukraine (Israel Hayom)

#2. White House: Russia will never achieve its war aims in Ukraine (Washington Examiner)

#3. Biden tells CEOs they have ‘patriotic obligation’ to guard against Russian cyberattacks (The Hill)

In the first article, Reuters and the ILH Staff reported: “The alliance is back defending against its original nemesis, but this time things are different. Hours after Russian missiles first struck Ukrainian cities, German naval commander Terje Schmitt-Eliassen received notice to sail five warships under his command to the former Soviet Republic of Latvia to help protect the most vulnerable part of NATO’s eastern flank. The hasty dispatch was part of Germany’s scramble to send ‘everything that can swim out to sea,’ as the navy’s top boss phrased it, to defend an area military strategists have long deemed the weakest point for the alliance.”

In the second article, Haisten Willis, Staff Reporter for the Washington Examiner wrote: “No matter what takes place during the war in Ukraine, Russia will never achieve its military goals,” national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on Tuesday. In response to a reporter’s question, Sullivan said he was not speaking specific military tactics or outcomes, but on the resilience of Ukrainian citizens and leaders.”

And, in the third article, Alex Gangitano reported: “President Biden on Monday called on top business executives to build up their companies’ capacity to deal with potential cyberattacks from Russian President Vladimir Putin amid the invasion of Ukraine.”

Here’s some bits and pieces from these articles which caught my attention: #1. This time things are different.” #2. Russia will never achieve its military goals. #3. Potential cyberattacks.

Comments: Years ago, I read a book, “You Can Trust a Communist to be a Communist.” So, in my mind, nothing has changed with Russia. And, did I mention (of course I did) Russia will, one day, invade Israel to “take a spoil” (Ezekiel 38, 39)? And, do I think Russia will achieve its military goals? Answer: Maybe in the short term, but, not in the future because she will be destroyed by God. And, if you don’t believe me, read Ezekiel 38 and 39 and see for yourself. As someone once told me: “God said it; I believe it; that settles it; let’s get on with it!” Amen? Amen!

Certainly there’s a lot of scary things going on these days. But, remember what Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6, “See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.” So, despite these wars and rumors of war, let us “fix our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Jesus) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Blessings, Doug (3/23/22)

NEW WORLD ORDER!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cool (41 degrees) Wisconsin where, outside my window, I saw three, fat robins bob bob bobbin along and a dove!!

This headline from yesterday’s “Real Clear Politics,” caught my attention this morning. In the article by Tim Hains, he reports: “President Biden: ‘There’s Going To Be A New World Order; It Hasn’t Happened In a While And America Has To Lead It.'”

Back in the spring of 1992, Joseph Nye Jr. wrote an article about “A New World Order.” In the article, then President George H. W. Bush said: “The 1991 Persian Gulf War was more than one small country; it is a big idea; a new world order, with new ways of working with other nations … peaceful settlement of disputes, solidarity against aggression, reduced and controlled arsenals and just treatment of all peoples. Not long after the war, however, the flow of White House words about a new world order slowed to a trickle.”

And now, for whatever reason, talk of a ‘New World Order’ is back with President Biden leading the way. Let me remind you, from the Bible, particularly Daniel 9:27 and Revelation 13, there will be a New World Order’ led, in my opinion, not by Joseph Biden, but by a man who the Bible calls the ‘antichrist’ who will first appear as a “peace-maker,” then, after three and a half years, become a man of war, declaring himself to be God, ruling over the world with an iron fist and the death penalty for all dissenters.

So, dearly beloved in Christ and unbelievers, keep your Bibles handy and read about what Jesus said would happen before His return in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Daniel 9 and, if you dare, Revelation 6-19. And, remember, Jesus also said there would also be “false Christs, prophets and miracles” (Matthew 24:4, 5, 11, 23-26) before His return. So, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37). And, if you want a simple guide to all of this, let me recommend my book, “Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy” which is available on Amazon. For the unbelievers, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Blessings to all, Doug (3/22/22)

PERSIA and the U.S.

Good afternoon, blog readers, from sunny, windy and 59 degrees Wisconsin where I just finished an afternoon walk and saw: 17 robins, 13 geese, 2 grackles and 2 dogs!

This headline, from yesterday’s the Hill, caught my eye: “Bidens mark Persian new year celebration.” In the article, Sarakshi Rai reported: “President Biden and first lady Jill Biden shared a statement celebrating the Persian festival of Nowruz on Sunday.

In case you didn’t know, Persia (aka Iran) is listed in Scripture (Ezekiel 38:5) as one of the countries, along with Russia, which, at some time in the future, will invade Israel to “take a spoil.” She is also a country right now wooing the U.S. to allow her to build a nuclear bomb to destroy both Israel and the U.S. Thankfully, one day, the Lord will take care of both Russia and Iran. And, He might even allow them to take care of us, as we continue to turn our back on Him.

So, dearly beloved in Christ, do not be afraid, but keep looking to Jesus to get us through this decaying world and country on our way to our heavenly home. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please know He is coming as either your Savior or Judge. And, if He is your Judge, your verdict will be Hell for eternity. But, it doesn’t need to be. So, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Have a blessed evening! Love, Doug (3/21/22)

U.S. WEAKNESS; GOD’S STRENGTH and SALVATION!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (31 degrees) Wisconsin where I am still not walking, but hope to be soon.

This morning, as I was going through my research, this headline, from a recent Gatestone Institute, caught my eye: “Palestinians: US Weakness Facilitates the Rise of Jihad and Fundamentalism.”

In the article, Khaled Abu Toameh reported: “America is unable to decide on war against Russia, and therefore the US will not be a decision-maker in international politics” – Musa Abu Marzouk, member of the Hamas ‘politburo.'”

As far as Hamas is concerned, the weaker the US the greater are their chances of fulfilling their goal of replacing Israel with an Islamic state. Article 13 of the Hamas Charter states, “There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.”

Let me remind you again from the Word of God, the Bible, there will always be an Israel (Jeremiah 31:35-37). And, in my opinion (and I could be wrong), based on Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 and 39, the Islamic threat against Israel will, one day, be eliminated, first, by Israel’s “exceedingly great army” (Ezekiel 37:10) and, second, by the Lord God Himself (Ezekiel 38:18-39:24).

And so, the current war between Russia and the Ukraine may only be a harbinger of things to come, as Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.”

Some have asked, “Is this war between Russia and Ukraine the Ezekiel 38 and 39 war?” I don’t believe so, because Russia is totally involved with Ukraine and, as of today, not interested in Israel, though that could change in a heartbeat. And, one more thing, Israel is not living in a “land of unwalled villages, at rest and living securely without walls and having no bars or gates” (Ezekiel 38:11). She has enemies on all sides, ready to pounce on and destroy her.

Personally I believe (and I could be wrong) is that there will come a time when Israel will have something Russia, Iran and the others nations want and/or need. And, as a result, the Lord will put “hooks in Russia’s jaws and draw her and the other nations down to Israel,” only to be defeated by the Lord God Himself. And, I also believe (and I could be wrong) that could happen in our lifetime. So, dearly beloved in Christ, “fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Blessings, Doug (3/20/22)

RUSSIA’S WARNING!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (36 degrees) Wisconsin where I am still not ready to venture out in the dark as I recover from COVID. Hopefully soon.

As you are probably aware, there is lots of news coming out of the Ukraine, especially in relation to its war with Russia. And, this chilling news headline came out of Russia on Thursday, March 17:

“Russia warns United States: we have the might to put you in your place.” And, they do. But, so do we “have the might to put them in their place. But, I am afraid our government does not have the will or courage to use it. And, as a result, I personally believe (and I could be wrong), this country may very well be in its last days and/or months as a “superpower.” Why do I say this?

Based on Scripture (Ezekiel 38 and 39), Russia and her allies will, one day in the future, invade Israel to “take a spoil,” with maybe only a mild protest from the U.S. and a few other nations, only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. Good-bye Russia! But, then there are the so-called “kings from the east” mentioned in Revelation 16:12 which could very easily include China who make their way to Armageddon where they are destroyed. Good-bye China! Hello Jesus Who returns to the earth to conquer all His enemies and set up His kingdom. Glory to God!

That’s what God says in His Word. And, I don’t know about you, but I am taking God at His Word and, regardless of what I think, will work it all out to His glory. So, stay tuned dearly beloved in Christ and “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) by watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, you still have time to become one, for “behold, now is ‘the acceptable time’ behold, now is the day of salvation” (II Corinthians 6:2). So, please, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven! Blessings, Doug (3/19/22)

THE FUTURE of WORK!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (40 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my afternoon walk yesterday, I saw: 4 Canada geese, 2 deer, 2 dogs and lots of other birds!

This headline from today’s Technocracy News caught my eye this morning: “Future of Work Includes Holograms, Smart Glasses, AI and Robots!”

The TN Editor reported: “As Technocrats transform every segment and function of society, work will be transformed through 5G by tethering devices, AI (Artificial Intelligence), robotics and what’s left of actual human connections. The future of how we work will, in a few years, include smart glasses that transport workers into augmented or virtual reality environments, communicating with your coworkers via a hologram from anywhere in the world or relying on robots powered by AI to help run manufacturing operations.”

Then, there was this headline from Yahoo News which also caught my attention: “Russia warns United States: “We have the might to put you in your place.” And, I trust they do, along with the likes of China, North Korea and, perhaps soon, Iran if they are allowed to continue their plans to have nuclear weapons. Now, granted, the U.S. also has nuclear weapons. But, would the present administration have the spine to use them? I am thinking not.

Let me remind you that, based on Ezekiel 38 and 39, Russia, Iran and a host of other countries will, one day, invade Israel to “take a spoil” with only a few nations meekly protesting against the invasion and doing nothing to stop it, when the Lord Himself intervenes and destroys all of the invaders (38:18-39:29). Oh, and by the way, in Ezekiel 40-48, the prophet records the Lord’s return and His glorious kingdom on earth which I will be a part of. Will you?

If not or you’re not sure, here’s what you need to do. Agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you do, you’ll be in the kingdom on earth and heaven for eternity. And, if you are a believer in Jesus, you know the drill: watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. Blessings with grace and peace, Doug (3/18/22)

DON’T FORGET the QUAKES!

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and warm (48 degrees) Wisconsin where, as of right now, I have not seen any of God’s creatures!

It’s been awhile since I reported to you about “earthquakes in various places,” another of the “signs” Jesus gave us, in Matthew 24:7, leading up to His return. And, yesterday, there were two earthquakes near Namie, Japan which, so far, have killed four and injured 97: a “strong” (6.5) quake which was followed by a “major” (7.3) quake in the same area.

And, remember: Jesus said “all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains” (verse 8) which means, as we get closer to the Lord’s return, we will see these (earthquakes) and the other signs Jesus gave us (false Christs, wars and rumors of war, famines, persecution of the believers in Jesus, apostasy in the church, an increase of lawlessness, the gospel preached to the nations) will increase in frequency and intensity.

And, if you want to read more about this, I suggest you get my book: “Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy” which, I believe, is still available on Amazon.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, let me remind you, Jesus is coming! So, be patient while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him until He comes. And if you’re not a believer in Jesus, what are you waiting for? Please, I beg you, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). And, if you do, I’ll see you in heaven! Glory to God! Blessings, Doug (3/17/22)
