This headline, from yesterday’s Boston Globe, caught my attention this morning: ‘A file of shame’: Major UN climate report shows world is on track for catastrophic levels of warming.”

Dharna Noor, of the Globe Staff, quoted UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres as saying: “It is a file of shame, cataloguing the empty pledges that put us firmly on track towards an unlivable world.”

Noor continues: “To avert the worst consequences of the climate crisis, the analysis from the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says, leaders must make radical, immediate changes. That includes rapidly phasing out the use of fossil fuels.”

I’ve said it before. And, I’ll say it again: The Lord God Almighty is heating up this world and will continue to do so in judgment, as it continues to turn its back on Him and His Word, the Bible. Hear what the apostle John wrote in Revelation 7:16 of the martyrs who have come out of the so-called Tribulation: “They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb (Jesus) in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Then, there is Revelation 16:8, 9 where John wrote: “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God Who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him the glory.”

So, you have a choice: “Springs of the water of life for eternity or scorching heat?” Please, I beg of you, take God as His Word, agree with Him you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16) or face not only a fiery planet, but also a fiery hell for eternity. This headline, from the Gatestone Institute, caught my attention this morning: “European Union Unveils New Strategy to Become Global Power.”

In the the article, Soeren Kern wrote: “The goal is ‘strategic autonomy’ – the ability for the EU to act independently of, and as a counterweight to, the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization – in matters of defense and security.

The key component of the Strategic Compass is the development of a so-called EU Rapid Deployment Capacity (RDC), a military force able to intervene in ‘non-permissive environments’ anywhere in the world. The RDC is to become fully operational by 2025 and commanded by an institution called the ‘EU Military Planning and Conduct Capability.’ The term ‘capability” is a politically correct substitute for ‘headquarters,’ as in ‘military headquarters.'”

What is interesting about this is that, between the Books of Daniel and Revelation, there are 9 Scriptures which mention “ten horns” in the “end times” (Daniel 7:7, 20, 24; Revelation 12:3; 13:1; 17:3, 7, 12, 16). The first one (Daniel 7:7) is associated with “a great red dragon” or Satan. The other references are believed to represent “kings” or “kingdoms.”

As of today, the EU is made up of 27 countries. Whether they will eventually become a “ten-nation kingdom” remains to be seen. I just find it interesting that the war between Russia and Ukraine has exposed an effort by the EU to become independent of the U.S. and NATO “in matters of defense and security.” As I have said before, based on Ezekiel 38:13, the U.S. is either not mentioned in defending Israel when she is attacked by Russia and her allies or, along with Europe, only files a “weak protest” against the invading armies. So, stay tuned, as I believe we could actually witness the Russian-led invasion against Israel to “take a spoil.”

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, Jesus is coming! Are you ready? If you are, then you are watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him. Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (30 degrees) Chicago where my wife and I are visiting family and having a nice time!

This headline, from The Jerusalem Post, grabbed my attention this morning: “China carried out massive cyberattack operation on Ukraine.”

In the article, the JP staff reported: “China launched a massive cyber operation on the Ukraine military and its nuclear facilities before Russia began its invasion, according to UK intelligence reports obtained by The Times.”

As I have said before, watch out for China! According to Scripture (Ezekiel 38 and 39), Russia and her allies will be taken care of by the Lord God Himself, perhaps even in our own lifetime. But, the “kings of the east” which I believe (and I could be wrong) will include China will make it to Megiddo where they and all the other nations of the world will be destroyed by the Lord Jesus (Revelation 16:12-19:21).

Remember, Jesus gave us some “signs of the times” leading up to His return in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. Check them out, watch the news and see if they are happening. This recent headline, from Fox Weather, caught my attention: “Busy tornado season sets record with nearly 250 twister reports in March alone!”

In the article, Scott Sistek and Shane Brown reported: “Following a relatively quiet January and February in the severe weather department, March kicked the door wide open to start the nation’s severe season.”

So, “What’s the big deal?” Well, according to Dr. Luke in Revelation 21:25, 26, before Jesus returns, “There will be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

And, Who controls the wind and the weather? God and His angels do, as we read in Revelation 7:1, “After this (that is, after the sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places in Revelation 6:14),” we, then read, in 7:1, “After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind should blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.”

Question: “If that is true, then why is this country experiencing such wild weather, like record tornados?” Personally I believe (and I could be wrong) that it is as a result of our leadership on down turning our backs on God, Jesus and the Bible. And, if I am right, there will be more “records” for all kinds of things, including earthquakes, unlike this country has ever seen.

So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and keep them there while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him until He comes. Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (25 degrees) Wisconsin where, as I look out my window, I see three inches of new snow and lots of deer tracks!

This headline, from yesterday (3/31/22), caught my eye: “China Takes Over the Solomon Islands – and the Pacific!”

Gordon G. Chang, of the Gatestone Institute, reported: “China, after years of persistent commercial, diplomatic, and military efforts, is taking over the Pacific. Beijing is moving from island group to island group, and soon the People’s Liberation Army will be in striking distance of Hawaii. The five-year deal, subject to automatic renewals, will allow Beijing to use the islands to base its military and to do pretty much what the Chinese military wants.

If implemented to its full extent, the Framework Agreement will give China the ability to sever shipping lanes and air links connecting the U.S. with its treaty ally Australia and partner New Zealand. … There is now talk that China will ink a security agreement with Papua New Guinea, just north of Australia.

Moreover, China wants to upgrade an airstrip in Kiribati. Beijing says the improvements are for civilian purposes only, yet the military uses are apparent and no one believes the Chinese assurances. The facility is just 1,900 miles south of Hawaii. In Pacific terms, Kiribati is America’s next door neighbor.”

Let me remind you again, according to Ezekiel 38-39, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will, at some time in the future, invade Israel and be destroyed by the Lord. And, based on Ezekiel 38:13 (a possible, vague reference to the U.S. who files only a mild protest against Russia’s invasion, but can do nothing to stop it), that leaves “the kings of the east” (most likely led by China) to make their way to Megiddo (Revelation 16:12) where they are all destroyed by the Lord Jesus Christ when He returns to the earth to set up His kingdom (Revelation 19:11-21). Hallelujah! Glory to God!

So, let me ask you a question: “Whose side are you on?” You have two choices: Jesus or Satan. And, you will have two options for eternity: “heaven or hell.” The choice is yours. I am praying you will agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, snowy and 32 degrees Wisconsin where, so far, out my window, I have not seen any of God’s creatures.

These two headlines caught my attention this morning:

#1. Two Russian fighter jets that violated Swedish airspace earlier this month were equipped with Nukes with the aim of scaring Stockholm after Putin had threatened military action if Sweden or Finland joined NATO (Daily Mail, 3/31,22)

#2. There was a strong (6.9) earthquake, 279 km, ESE of Tadine, New Caledonia which was followed by a “major” (7.0) quake in the same region this morning (USGS Earthquake List).

In the first article, Laurence Dollimore wrote: “Two Russian planes that violated Swedish airspace earlier this month were equipped with nuclear weapons, it has emerged. The flyover near the island of Gotland on March 2 was a deliberate act designed to intimidate Sweden, according to Swedish news channel TV4 Nyheterna. A total of 4 planes had taken off from the Russian air base of Kaliningrad. They consisted of two Sukhoi 24 attack planes which were escorted by two Sukhoi 27 fighter jets. It was the two attack planes which were, according to TV4 Nyheter sources, equipped with nuclear weapons.”

Hmmmm! “Earthquakes in various places” and “wars and rumors of war.” Where have we heard those expressions before? The answer is: “From Jesus in the gospels (Matthew 24:6, 7; Mark 13:7,8 and Luke 21:9-11). These are just two of the “signs” Jesus gave His disciples, then and now, which would lead up to His return. These headlines caught my eye this morning:

#1. Israel terror threat level raised to highest amid spree of attacks (Ynetnews.com)

#2. The Pandemic Treaty Is a Spreading Plague (Dr. Joseph Mercola)

In the first article, Ynetnews.com reported: “Bennett orders bolstering IDF troop deployment along West Bank by four additional battalions; security cabinet to convene on Wednesday to mull additional steps to increase security after 5 people killed in Bnei Brak terror attack, 3rd in a week.”

Note: Could this be another step closer to the Psalm 83 war between Israel and her neighbors? Stay tuned!

In the second article, Dr. Joseph Mercola wrote: “The globalist cabal wants to monopolize health systems worldwide, and a stealth attack is already underway in the form of an international pandemic treaty, proposed by the World Health Organization.

The treaty is a direct threat to a nation’s sovereignty to make decisions for itself and its citizens, and would erode democracy everywhere. Not only would the treaty empower the WHO to mandate jabs and vaccine passports globally, it could potentially also expand the WHO’s power to dictate all health care policy worldwide.

The treaty would also give the WHO the power to censor health information worldwide. This would be disastrous, as the WHO has a long history of corruption and health policy failures that are intrinsically linked to conflicts of interest.

When people are harmed by the WHO’s health policies, there’s no accountability because the WHO has diplomatic immunity.”

Note: Sounds like one more step towards the government of the Antichrist who will rule the world with an iron fist, killing all those who resist his leadership (Revelation 13).

So, dearly beloved in Christ, fix your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and don’t be distracted by the war in Ukraine or the killings in Israel or the WHO’s latest, evil agenda. I believe (and I could be wrong), these are some of the “birth pains” Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. And, if I am right, then, we will see these “signs” increasing in frequency and intensity until Jesus comes. Question: “Are you watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes?” We should be and, I might add, with “joy and thanksgiving,” as Paul reminds us in I Thessalonians 5:16, 18.

And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, what are you waiting for – hell on earth? By then, it might be too late. So, please, today, right now, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (24 degrees) Wisconsin where, get this, on my first record-keeping, morning walk since I have recovered from COVID, I saw: 13 robins, 8 grackles, 2 cranes, 2 crows and 2 deer! Thank You, Jesus!

Just what is “Christian Transhumanism? Now, if you’re like me, you haven’t heard of the term before. So, here is a definition from Wesley J. Smith in his article: “The Impossibility of Christian Transhumanism.”

Smith writes: “So called ‘Christian Transhumanism,’ or the attempt to blend the transhumanism agenda with the precepts of Christian theology, has been around for some time (Note: News to me!). But there has been a resurgence of interest in the project. The book ‘Religious Transhumanism and Its Critics, published in 2019, claims to offer ‘first-hand testimony to the value of the transhumanist vision perceived by the religious mind.’ The volume includes contributions from a number of Christians. The ‘Christian Transhumanism Association’ (CTA, formed in 2014, is actively dedicated to promoting transhumanism as a means of ‘participating with God in the redemption, reconciliation, and renewal of the world.'”

The problem with these efforts is that the transhumanist worldview and the Christian faith are incompatible. One cannot be a Christian transhumanist’ – any more than one can be a Christian Buddhist or Christian Muslim.’

Transhumanism is a futuristic social movement. Its adherents believe that immortality is attainable in the corporeal world through the wonders of applied technology. The goal is to become “H+,” or more than human.”

Note: This ties right in with Lucifer (aka Satan) thinking he could be God (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19). Transhumanism is certainly demonic and needs to be rejected outright.

Wow! I am thinking Jesus must be coming soon because our enemy, the devil, is stepping up his game big time. And so, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we must “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) for his “flaming missiles” (NASB), taking up the shield of faith with which we will be able to extinguish them” (Ephesians 6:16).

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please, I beg you, don’t believe Satan’s lie that you’re good enough to go to heaven, because you and I are not (Romans 3:23, 24). We need a Savior Who is Jesus Who died on a cross for our sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all our sins and give us eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cold (18 degrees) Wisconsin where I just saw and heard a “lonesome dove” outside my window.

This headline, from the March 26th EarthSky, caught my attention: “Sun Activity: A solar tsunami from yesterday’s M-flare.”

In the article, C. Alex Young, Armando Caussade and Raul Cortes reported: “On Friday morning, March 25, 2022, sunspot AR2974 in the sun’s southern hemisphere produced an M-class flare. The explosion also sent a solar tsunami – officially called an EIT wave – rippling through the sun’s atmosphere. The March 25 flare hurled a CME (?) toward Earth. NASA currently estimates the CME will impact Earth late on March 27. Activity at Earth is expected to be minor though it could cause a low-level geomagnetic storm with auroras at high latitudes. And the March 25 flare caused a shortwave blackout over southeast Asia.”

So, “What’s the big deal?” Well, according to Luke 21:25, the good doctor records: “And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

Did you get that? “The powers of the heavens will be shaken!” Now, personally (and I could be wrong), I believe the “true church” made up of all the born-again believers in Jesus (John 3:3) who have been saved by God’s grace through faith in Christ, His death, burial and resurrection and not by works (Ephesians 2:8, 9, I Corinthians 15:1-4) will not be around for the worst of this. But, I do believe we will be around to see glimpses of “the heavens being shaken.” Maybe, just maybe, this “solar tsunami” is a “sign” of things to come. So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes.

This headline, from the March 24th Jerusalem Post, caught my prophetical eye: “Russian ambassador to Syria: Israel is provoking us to react.”

In the article by Tzvi Joffre, he reported: “Russian ambassador to Syria Alexander Efimov warned Thursday that Israeli strikes in Syria are ‘provoking’ Russia to react, in one of the strongest Russian condemnations of Israeli operations in Syria. Efimov additionally complained that Israeli strikes aim to ‘escalate tensions and allow the West to carry out military activities in Syria.'”

Let me remind you, from the Word of God (Isaiah 17:1), that, one day, Damascus (Syria) will “be removed from being a city and will become a fallen ruin.” How could that be? A nuclear strike is a good possibility. And, one day, from the Word of God (Ezekiel 38, 39), Russia and her allies will be destroyed by the Lord God Himself when they invade Israel to “take a spoil.”

And, in my opinion (and I could be wrong), we may live to see one or both of these events. So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please read Revelation 18-20 to see what your eternity will be like. Then, read Revelation 21-22 and see what your eternity will be like as a believer in Jesus.
