Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy, windy and cold Wisconsin where I cut short my walk because of the wind and cold, but still saw: 30 robins, 10 grackles, 6 red-winged blackbirds, 2 cranes, 2 doves, 2 geese, a cardinal and a seagull!

This headline from the AP (Associated Press) caught my eye this morning: “Top Russian diplomat warns Ukraine against provoking WWIII.” In the article, the AP Staff reported: “Russia’s top diplomat warned Ukraine against provoking World War III and said the threat of a nuclear conflict ‘should not be underestimated.'”

And, here’s another one from The Gatestone Institute: “Biden Administration Ignores What the Palestinians Are Really Saying.” In the article, Khaled Abu Toameh wrote: “Hamas will remain committed to its charter until the goals of our people are achieved, including the liberation of all Palestine,” Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesperson.

The Biden administration’s representatives who are talking about ‘the need for all parties to work for calm, especially in Jerusalem,’ appear to be overlooking that the latest tensions are, at best, only partially related to the city or al-Aksa Mosque. For Hamas, the riots at al-Aksa Mosque are simply part of a long-term strategy to destroy all of Israel.” See Psalm 83.

War in the Ukraine and war in Israel. Just two of the many conflicts that are raging around the world right now. Remember, Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6, 7, Mark 13:7, 8 and Luke 21:10 that, before His return, “you will be hearing of wars and rumors of war.”

He also said, in Luke 21:11, “There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” Thus, this headline from EarthSky bears watching: “Sun activity: Earth in firing range of large sunspot complex.” C. Alex Young and Raul Cortes reported: “Sunspot regions AR2993 and AR2994 are pointing directly towards us on their trip west across the sun. Any CME eruptions at this point might be earthbound (they could still miss us). Moderate flare activity has continued and a good chance for M-flare activity and some chance for x-flare still exist.” Stay tuned for more “wars, rumors of war, terrors and great signs from heaven” to be increasing, like “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8) in frequency and intensity before Jesus comes.

So, dearly beloved in Christ, stay “on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. This headline, from yesterday’s Algemeiner, caught my eye this morning: “Palestinian Authority TV Airs Imam’s Call for ‘Extermination of the Evil Jews.'” This coincides with the prophecy of Psalm 83:1-8 where Israel’s neighbors are threatening to “wipe them (the Jews) out as a nation that the name of Israel be remembered no more (verse 4).”

In the article, the Algemeiner Staff reported: “The prayer, led by a Palestinian imam, was broadcast on PA television on April 17, according to Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), as rioting continued on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.”

According to Scripture (Daniel 9:27), the (Antichrist) “will make a firm covenant with the many (not all the Jews) for one week (seven years)” which will probably allow them to rebuild their temple in Jerusalem and to offer their sacrifices. Daniel continues, in verse 27, “But in the middle of the week he (Antichrist) will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” In other words, the Antichrist will take his seat in the Jewish temple and declare to the world he alone is God and to be worshiped with the death penalty for all those who resist him and do not take his mark (II Thessalonians 2:3, 4; Revelation 13:15-18).

Bottom line: Jesus is coming! But, before He comes, there will be all the “signs” He gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 which we are starting to see and, I believe, will continue to see until Jesus comes for His bride, the church, made up of all those who are truly “born again” (John 3:3) and saved by God’s grace through faith in Christ, His death, burial and resurrection (Ephesians 2:8,9; I Corinthians 15:1-4). So, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us “fix our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2) and keep them there while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, you can become one right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from rainy and warm (59 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk which was cut short by the rain, I saw: 10 robins, 2 dogs and a crane!

Now you may not know where Port McNeill is located. But, since I have been following earthquakes, I have come to know that Port McNeill is a city in British Columbia with a population of 2,356, in the Vancouver Island Region where there was a “moderate” (5.3) quake yesterday. This region bears watching as the possibility of a larger quake in that region could be catastrophic for the western United States. Stay tuned!

This next headline made me think again of the prophecy of Psalm 83: “Israel said readying for possible flare-up with Gaza following repeated rocket fire.”

In the article, the Times of Israel Staff and Agencies reported: “Israel’s security forces are preparing for the possibility of a flare-up with the Gaza Strip following repeated incidents of rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave over the past week. Channel 12 news reported Saturday that if Israel’s decision to close its pedestrian crossing with Gaza does not curtail rocket attacks, the military is ready to resume retaliatory strikes or even begin a wider operation.” Stay tuned!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are exciting and scary times as we see the world and this country deteriorating rapidly. This made me think of Luke 21:28 where the good doctor quoted Jesus as saying: “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” You might ask, “What things was Jesus talking about?” Well, the things He said in Luke 21:8-26. So, watch the news and see if the “things” Jesus talked about are happening. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, don’t wait another minute – agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Believe me, you will be eternally grateful!

And, to my fellow believers in Jesus, remember Jesus is our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:13). He is coming again and we are now one day closer to His coming than yesterday. These headlines really got my attention this morning:

What is significant about the first article is that Dr. Luke, in Luke 21:25, quoted Jesus as saying that, before He returns, “There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars.” Stay tuned!

The second article made me think of Ezekiel 38:1-17 where Russia and her allies will invade Israel “to take a spoil.”

The third article made me think of Ezekiel 38:5 where Persia (Iran) is listed as one of Russia’s allies which invades Israel.

And, the fourth article made me think of the rapidly declining health of the United States. Dr. Mercola warns: “With depression and anxiety at all-time highs, there aren’t enough mental health professionals to handle the coming tsunami of mentally unwell Americans. This is the price society is paying for ill-conceived, irrational pandemic measures and nonstop fear mongering.”

Sad! Sad Sad! But, there’s hope: “The blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good” (Titus 2:13). Praise God!

Question: “Do you have the blessed hope of the glorious appearing of Jesus?” If you do, then, like the previous Scripture, you ought to be “eager to do what is good which includes “watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes”

Sadly, this morning, I read this headline from Dr. Joseph Mercola: “Why Has Early Puberty Skyrocketed During the Pandemic?”

In the article, Dr. Mercola reports: “Incidence of early puberty has surged since the start of the COVID pandemic, and is affecting children at ages that are historically unprecedented. Many children diagnosed with slow-progressing early puberty also experienced an acceleration of pubertal progressing during and/or after lockdown. Early puberty can have serious consequences for those affected. It’s been linked to a higher risk for depression, eating disorders, substance abuse and/or after lockdown.

The cause for the unprecedented rise in early puberty is unknown, but experts suspect it has to do with lifestyle changes related to lockdowns, such as stress, elevated electromagnetic field exposure, an unhealthy diet, low physical activity, increased obesity, elevated exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals in the home and poor sleep.

Early puberty, also known as precocious puberty, has historically been rare, affecting approximately 1 in 5,000 to 10,000 children. But for some unknown reason, since early 2020, doctors around the world have seen a surprising increase in cases, predominantly if not exclusively among girls, with girls as young as 5 sprouting breasts and menstruation starting in girls younger than 8. Early puberty may be caused by a more serious condition, such as a central nervous problem, or an ovary, adrenal, pituitary or brain tumor.”

How sad! Just one more reminder we live in a fallen world which will continue to deteriorate, as Jesus said it would in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 until He returns to set up His kingdom on earth. This headline from yesterday’s Technocracy News really got my attention: “Internet of Bodies Means Total Control Over Your Body, Behavior, Actions!”

In the article, the TN staff reported: “Implantable microchips are marketed as the ultimate in convenience, but the goal is to create the Internet of Bodies (IoB), described by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as an ecosystem of ‘an unprecedented number of sensors,’ including emotional sensors, ‘attached to, implanted within, or ingested into human bodies to monitor, analyze and even modify human bodies and behavior.”

Wow! Wow! Wow! How scary! And, I can’t show it on my computer but, if you go to the April 20, 2022 Technocracy News, you will see two pictures of these implantable microchips, guess where, in the hand! Hmmm! Where I have read that before? And the answer is: Revelation 13:16, 17.

Earthquake Update: Over the last 24 hours, there were two “strong” earthquakes: a 6.0 quake, ESE of Manay, Philippines and a 6.7 quake, 58 km, WSW of Masachapa, Nicaragua. Remember: Jesus said, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11, there would be “earthquakes in various places” before His return. He also said, in Matthew 24:8, that these “signs” would be like “birth pains,” that is, they would be increasing in frequency and intensity as we get closer to His return.

So, stay tuned, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. This headline, from Prophecy News Watch, caught my eye this morning: “Dangerous ‘Deconstruction’ Movement Targets Christians to Abandon the Faith.”

In the article, Joshua Arnold reported: “A trendy new hashtag tempts Christians to look wise in the world’s eyes. ‘There are 293,026 posts on Instagram utilizing the hashtag #deconstruction,’ reported apologetics writer Alisa Childers earlier this year. The vast majority are from people who’ve deconverted from Christianity, become progressive Christians, embraced same-sex marriage and relationships, rejected core historic doctrines of the faith, or on a mission to crush white Christian patriarchy.

The deconstruction movement recruits from the ranks of Christian celebrities, musicians, and young, impressionable evangelicals. ‘Deconstruction is not sound. Deconstruction will ultimately lead to destruction itself, ‘said Dr. Owen Strachan, Senior Fellow with FRC’s (Family Research Council) Center for Biblical Worldview.” Note: Jesus said, in Matthew 24:10, “And at that time (before He returns), many will fall away (from the faith).” One more sign Jesus’s coming is near.

And, here’s another, perhaps prophetic, headline from Space.com: “Hologram doctors beamed to space station to visit astronauts. Why is that maybe prophetic? Well, in Revelation 13: 14, 15, John tells us about a “beast” (not the Antichrist) who “deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast (the Antichrist), telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. And there was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast might speak and cause as many as do not worship the beast to be killed.”

Apostasy and “images” (holograms) are just two of the “signs” which will appear in the world before Jesus returns to set up His kingdom. And, there was a “strong” (6.1) quake near Santiago in the Philippines. Got to go for a driving test. Please pray for me. Blessings, Doug (4/20/22)

This headline, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, really got my attention this morning: “Human Microchip Implants and the Internet of Bodies!”

In the article, Dr. Mercola wrote: “Implantable microchips are marketed as the ultimate in convenience, but the goal is to create the Internet of Bodies, described by the World Economic Forum as an ecosystem of, ‘an unprecedented number of sensors,’ including emotional sensors, ‘attached to, implanted within or ingested into human bodies to monitor, analyze and even modify human behavior.'”

Sweden is one of the earliest adopters of implantable micro chips. The chip is implanted just beneath the skin on the hand, and operates using either near-field communication – the same technology used in smartphones – or radio-frequency identification, which is used in contactless credit cards. “Wow! Can you say, “Revelation 13:11-18?”

Here’s another headline of a similar nature from the April 15th Technocracy News: “Fauci: ‘You Use Lockdowns To Get People Vaccinated.'” In the article, the TN Staff reported: “According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of NIH, the real reason for lockdowns is not to contain the spread of the virus, but rather to force people to get vaccinated. This is a blunt admission on his part, but it suggests that the ‘great panic of 2020,’ was less about the virus and more about taking EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) injections.”

And sadly, there was this headline from the April 14th Technocracy News and Trends: “Fully Vaxxed Are Three Times More Likely to Die From COVID.” Dr. Mercola wrote: “From the very first announcement of an MNA vaccine, I said that once they get the needle in your arm, you will never get it out. We are now on the fourth booster shot with no end in sight. Life expectancy in the U.S. has dropped by TWO YEARS since 2020. Hundreds of thousands of lives have been irreparably damaged and well over 100,000 have died. When I declared war on Technocracy on December 18, 2015, many readers dismissed my warnings as alarmist or worse, delusional. Is anybody listening now? All I can say is this: these scurrilously evil destroyers of humanity will be held to account, if not by us today, then by God at judgment day.”

Wow! I know that’s a lot of bad news. But, there’s good news: The Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth to die on a cross for our sins that, as we believe in Him (His death, burial and resurrection), we would be forgiven of all our sins and have eternal life, free from war, disease, vaccines, famine, lawlessness, pain and suffering. And, for eternity! Glory to God! So, please, if you are reading this and are not a believer in Jesus, become one today. And, if you are a believer, then, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. This headline from yesterday’s JNS (Jewish News Syndicate) got my attention this morning: “Russian military releases alleged details on Israeli strike in Syria.”

The JNS Staff reported: “The Russian military has released what it claims are details of a recent Israeli airstrike on targets in the Damascus region, Ynet reported on Sunday. The report attributed the release to a desire in Moscow to retaliate for condemnations of Russia’s actions in Ukraine by Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.”

What is significant about this is that, according to the prophecy of Isaiah 17:1, “Damascus will be removed from being a city and it will become a fallen ruin.” I am thinking (and I could be wrong) that this could be as a result of an Israeli nuclear airstrike on Damascus.

Then, there is this headline from yesterday’s Washington Post: “US and European allies plan for long-term isolation of Russia.” In the article by Karen DeYoung and Michael Birnbaum, they wrote: “Nearly two months into Vladimir Putin’s brutal assault on Ukraine, the Biden administration and its European allies have begun planning for a far different world, in which they no longer try to coexist and cooperate with Russia but actively seek to isolate and weaken it as a matter of long-term strategy.”

All I can say to that is, based on my understanding of Ezekiel 38, Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will, at some time in the future, be drawn by the Lord to Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself which you can read about in Ezekiel 39. Personally I believe (and I could be wrong), the U.S. will no longer be a world power as a result of possible nuclear strikes from Russia, Iran, China and North Korea. And, I also believe we could still be around to see some of these prophecies fulfilled in our lifetime.

So stay tuned, dear brothers and sisters in Christ and be ready for tougher times with our eyes “fixed on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2): Watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him until He comes. This FoxNews.com headline, from two days ago, was chilling: “Russia warns US of ‘unpredictable consequences’ amid latest arms shipment to Ukraine.”

In the article, the Fox News staff reported: “Russian warned the U.S. and NATO this week that there could be ‘unpredictable consequences’ if they continue to send Ukraine ‘sensitive’ weapons as it prepares to launch a massive ground offensive in eastern Ukraine, a report said Friday.”

So, what does “unpredictable consequences” mean? Biological, chemical or nuclear weapons? Certainly Vladimir Putin is capable of launching all of these, even against the United States. All I know is that God is still sovereign; Jesus is in control and coming again for His bride, the Church which is made up of all those who are born again and saved solely by God’s grace through faith in Christ, His death, burial and resurrection which we should celebrate not only today, but everyday until He comes.

And, I also know that God will take care of Russia and her allies in due time, according to Ezekiel 38 and 39. On this Easter/Resurrection Sunday, let us celebrate the risen Christ not only today, but every day, as we watch, wait, work, witness for and walk with Him until He comes.

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please know God loves you and desires for you to spend an eternity with Him in heaven. But, it’s up to you. You need to first agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24). Then, you need to believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). For, if you don’t, you will receive the most “predictable consequence” of all: Hell for eternity! I am praying I will see you in heaven.
