Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool, but nice (46 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 21 robins, 18 grackles, 14 red-winged blackbirds, 6 doves, 5 cranes, 2 dogs and a crow! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from White House Staff Reporter Katherine Doyle, caught my eye this morning: “We’ve already won in many ways’: White House claims partial victory in Ukraine.” In the article, Doyle reported: “The White House claimed a partial victory in Ukraine’s war against Russia, tempering Kyiv’s suggestion that a win would mean rolling Moscow’s territorial gains back to 2014. The United States has vowed its commitment to Ukraine’s victory and insists that the war aims must be defined by Kyiv. But, as Washington prepares to flood Kyiv will billions of dollars of military and economic aid, the White House press secretary said Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s failure to seize Ukraine’s capital and secure broad territorial gains was already a win for the U.S. “Because President Putin will not be marching through the streets of Kyiv, we’ve already won in many ways,” Jen Psaki said.”

What arrogance! All I can say to that is : Stay tuned! Let me remind you that, according to the Bible, (Ezekiel 38 and 39), at sometime in the future (and maybe sooner than later), Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel “to take a spoil” without any interference from the United States or any other country which says to me that the U.S. has either been destroyed or weakened.

Then, there was this headline from Dr. Joseph Mercola: “Biden Administration Creates ‘Ministry of Truth.” Dr. Mercola reports: “The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has quietly set up a Disinformation Governance Board to oversee what information is and isn’t truthful. Heading up this new ‘Ministry of Truth’ is Nina Jankowicz, a ‘Russian disinformation expert’ who, in her spare time, sings show tunes about disinformation and erotic Harry Potter songs on TikTok.”

Oh, and one more thing: Over the last 24 hours, there were 6 “moderate” (5.0-5.5) earthquakes in or near Indonesia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, New Caledonia, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Japan, plus a “strong” (6.3) quake in Japan and a rare 3.3 (“minor”) quake, 6 km E of Elgin, South Carolina (population: 1,311, as of 2010) and near Columbia (population: 129,272, as of 2010). So, stay tuned, dear brothers and sisters in Christ and, keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He come.

And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please don’t leave earth without Him as your Savior or else He will be your Judge. This headline, from the Jerusalem Post, caught my eye this morning: “Iran is learning from Russia, North Korea nuclear threats – analysis.”

In the article, Seth J. Frantzman wrote: “In recent weeks, Russia and North Korea have both mentioned the use of nuclear weapons in future conflicts. Russia has mentioned nuclear weapons several times in the context of the Ukraine crisis, each time rolling out this talking point and then trying to pretend that it is behaving responsibly. In the West, the pro-Russia voices and the excusers of Russia’s invasion have often put forward the concern this could be ‘World War III.’

Iran, which is seeking nuclear weapons and often threatens to destroy Israel, is watching how Russia and North Korea play the nuclear-threat card.”

In a similar vein was this headline from The Times of Israel: “Hamas team lands in Russia ahead of meeting with top officials.” The TOI Staff wrote: “Hamas has seen its ties with Russia improve in recent years. Last month, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh held a rare phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.”

As I have said before, I believe (and I could be wrong) there will be a Psalm 83 war between Israel and her neighbors, including Hamas, which Israel will win thanks, perhaps, to her “exceedingly great army” (Ezekiel 37:10). Then, some time later, when Israel is living in peace, Russia and her allies will invade Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself (Ezekiel 38-39).

We also know, from Revelation 6:7, 8, the apostle John saw “an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword (war) and with famine and with pestilence (plague) and by the wild beasts of the earth.” I would highly recommend you read Dr. David Reagan’s “Nine Wars of the End Times” which is a fascinating study of all the “end-time wars” and not just Armageddon.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, as I have said before, “these are exciting and scary times.” And, even though I believe in a pre-trib “rapture of the church,” I also believe we will witness some of the “signs” Jesus told His disciples about in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. And, like “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8), they will increase with frequency and intensity. So, let us keep “watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes.” And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, there’s still time; but time is running out. These headlines, from this morning’s news, caught my attention from a prophecy standpoint:

#1. North Korea fires a ballistic missile among rising animosities (AP News).

#2. Turkey: NATO’s Pro-Putin Ally (Gatestone Institute)

#3. Hamas has claimed responsibility for the terror attack outside of Ariel this weekend (Israel AM)

In the first article by Hyung-Jin Kim, Kim Tong-Hyung and Mari Yamaguchi, they reported: “North Korea launched a ballistic missile toward its eastern waters on Wednesday,” South Korean and Japanese officials said, days after North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un vowed to speed up the development of his nuclear weapons at the fastest possible pace and threatened to use them against their rivals.” Note: This was their14th missile launch this year.

#2. In the second article by Burak Bekdill, he wrote: “Western leaders shrugged it off when, in 2016, (President) Erdogan said in plain language that Turkey did not need to join the European Union ‘at all costs’ and could instead become part of a security bloc dominated by China, Russia and Central Asian nations.” Note: Turkey (Beth Togarmah in Ezekiel 38:6) joins Russia, Iran and a host of other nations will invade Israel “in the latter years to capture spoil and to seize plunder” (Verses 8-12).

#3. The Israel AM Staff reported: “Hamas has claimed responsibility for the terror attack outside of Ariel this weekend, which took the life of an Israel security guard. The Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, praised the attackers in a speech on Saturday. The 2 terrorists were captured by security forces after a 20 hour manhunt.” Note: These attacks in Israel occur almost on a daily basis. By the way, Hamas is listed among the neighbors who will attack Israel one day, according to Psalm 83.

Got to go; more later. I’m back with one final note: There were 5 “moderate” (5.0, 5.0, 5.1, 5.1 and 5.2) quakes in or near Tonga, Chile (2), the Pacific-Antarctic Ridge Region and Papua New Guinea. And Jesus said, “There will be earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8). This headline, from Prophecy News Watch, caught my eye this morning: “Another Microchip Implant Enters the Market.”

In the article, the PNW Staff reported: “A London-based company has developed a new contactless payment system that involves embedding a microchip into a person’s hand. Tech company Walletmor has developed a new app called Purewrist, which is a digital wallet combined with a microchip that can be installed in your hand. Once the chip is installed, a person can then use the app and chip to make payments to businesses that also use the app.”

Sounds a lot like Revelation 13:16-18 where the apostle John wrote: “And he (the Antichrist) causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead., and he provides that no one should be able to buy or sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast (the Antichrist) or the number of his name (666).”

Oh, and one more possible “sign of the times'” headline from today’s EarthSky: “Sun activity: Calm, but something may be coming!” See Luke 21:25, 26.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are exciting and scary times. And yet, we can take great comfort in knowing that Jesus said, in Matthew 28:20, “And lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” See also Romans 8:28-39.

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (44 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 23 robins, 18 red-winged blackbirds, 7 geese, 6 grackles, 5 cranes, 3 ducks, 2 deer, a cardinal and a dove! First of all, a correction from yesterday. My title should have been “The Ten Horns” instead of “The Tens Horns!” Sorry about that.

Dr. Justus Hope, writing for The Desert Review, began his article by asking a question: “How many US Presidents in modern history have announced ‘food shortages’ before they occurred?” The answer is: only President Biden.”

Dr. Hope continued: “Yes, our nation experienced massive food shortages during the Great Depression; however, they were not predicted nor announced BEFORE the problem. It was only after the stock market crashed that they followed. Here, we have a different scenario. A sitting US President has information considered so reliable that the population deserves to be ‘warned’ of dwindling food supplies. Wouldn’t that be information one would keep classified, as we wouldn’t want the public to panic or begin hoarding.

Journalist Mike Gonzales wrote about purported ‘food shortages’ being used as a weapon by the Left to promote the expansion of the Welfare State.” Dr. Hope continues: “There may be a plan by our government afoot to create a food shortage. First, a Maricopa County, Arizona, food bank recently and mysteriously caught fire which destroyed some 50,000 pounds of food. The timing was also suspicious for arson as it occurred just 15 minutes after the Maricopa Food Pantry closed on a Monday morning.

Dr. Benjamin Braddock reported on Twitter a number of these food-related fires. There was a massive fire at a Salinas food processing plant which produces for Taylor Farms. Dr. Braddock also reported on at least a dozen more suspicious fires targeting similar facilities – Smithfield Foods, Deli Star Meat, Hot Pockets, Tyson Poultry, Bonanza Meat, Mair-Rite Steak, JBS Beef, McCrum Potato, Kellogg’s and Cargill-Nutrena.” As my old friend, Arte Johnson, used to say: “Verrrry interesting!”

And, while I can’t verify if what I just wrote about is true or not, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is because Jesus, in Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11 spoke about “famines and earthquakes in various places” before His return. And, speaking of earthquakes, there was a “moderate” (5.5) quake in the Volcano Islands Region of Japan.

So, dearly beloved in Christ, let us “stay on the alert,” as Jesus told us in Mark 13:33, 35 and 37 while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Him until He comes. Here are a couple of headlines which got my attention this morning:

#1. Jewish News Syndicate: “Can the United Nations survive the war in Ukraine?”

#2. The Times of Israel: “Hamas’ Sinwar threatens a ‘regional, religious war’ if Al-Aqsa is again ‘violated.'”

The prophet Daniel, in Daniel 7:7, saw a “beast with ten horns,” a picture of the Antichrist and a future ten-nation kingdom. Then, in verse 8, Daniel saw that “three of the horns were pulled out by the roots before it,” meaning there was now 7 kings or nations under the Antichrist’s rule.

As a result, there will no longer be a global “United Nations,” but the Antichrist and a seven-nation kingdom ruling over the earth.

And, with the second headline, there is what I believe a Psalm 83 war to come involving Israel and her neighbors who are out to destroy her (Israel) once and for all which, according to Scripture (Jeremiah 31:35-37) will never happen, as long as the sun, the moon and the stars exist.

Bottom line: The nations will rage and kingdoms will fall, but the Lord God will remain in control of the universe, including this earth, and, one day, perhaps some time soon, will reign on earth over the nations with a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and bring “peace on earth” for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6). I can’t wait! But, wait I must and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. This morning, thanks to the USGS, I learned of a “very minor” (2.8) earthquake, 1 km, NNE of Peerless Park, Missouri which is about 16 miles SW of St. Louis which made me think of the New Madrid fault line which isn’t too far away. Stay tuned!

Here are a few other headlines which bear watching:

#1. EarthSky: Sun activity: A few M-flares, minor geomagnetic storm overnight. See Luke 21:25.

#2. Jordan demands total control, reduced Jewish presence on Temple Mount (Jewish News Syndicate). See Daniel 9:27; II Thessalonians 2:3, 4).

#3. International Dark Sky Week Encourages People Worldwide to ‘Discover the Night.’ (International Dark Sky Foundation). See II Thessalonians 5:1-8.

#4. DHS Setting up New ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ (Technocracy News). Let me just give you a little information on this. According to the TN Staff, “As fast as you can say ‘Ministry of Truth’ from Orwell’s 1984, it shows up just like that. The DHS (Department of Homeland Security) has never limited its activities to foreign targets, and will certainly turn this into an official instrument of government censorship. The Ministry of Truth had three slogans” WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY and IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.” See Ezekiel 13 and read the whole chapter to see what God thinks about this.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, the evidence is mounting that Jesus is coming! And, even though I believe in a pre-trib rapture of the church, I also believe we, as Christians, need to be prepared for tougher times in what I like to call a “first trimester of tribulation.” Jesus told us, in Matthew 24:24, we are to watch out for “false Christs, false prophets and false miracles. In the same chapter, He also prophesied of “wars and rumors of war, famines, earthquakes, persecution of believers, even unto death, apostasy in the church and an increase in lawlessness.” But, He also said: “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” So, in other words, until Jesus returns, we have His work to do which is: “Watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes.”

And, if you are still not a believer, I wonder, “What will it take to get you to become one?” Jesus said: “For God so loved the world (you and me) that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus) , that whoever believes in Him (Jesus) shall not perish (in hell), but have eternal life (in heaven). The choice is yours: Heaven or hell; Jesus or Satan. I am praying you will agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe Jesus died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins (past, present and future) and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). This morning, I saw this headline from yesterday’s EarthSky: “Daylight fireball over Mississippi and Louisiana.” In the article, Robert Lunsford reported: “On the morning of Wednesday, April 27, 2022, the American Meteor Society (AMS) received reports of a rare daylight fireball occurring over the southern states of Mississippi and Louisiana.”

Then, I saw this “funny” from Dr. Robert Malone: “In these difficult times, some cuts may be necessary (with a picture of a guillotine).”

I didn’t realize this until I looked in my “Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible and found the word “fire” is mentioned 26 times in the Book of Revelation, more than just a coincidence since it is usually used in relation to the judgment of God which, believe it or not, is coming upon this earth.

And, speaking or Revelation and judgment, the Antichrist will use a guillotine as a means of execution for those who resist him (Revelation 20:4). Nothing to joke about!

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, Jesus is coming and, maybe, sooner than you think. So, “stay on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37) by watching waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. This headline, from a recent “Christianity Today,” was a shocker, but not a surprise, at least to me: “Report: 26 Million Americans Stopped Reading the Bible Regularly During Covid-19.”

In the article, the CT Staff reported: “When researchers for the American Bible Society’s annual ‘State of the Bible’ report saw this year’s survey statistics, they found it hard to believe the results. The data said roughly 26 million people had mostly or completely stopped reading the Bible in the last year.

‘We reviewed our calculations. We double-checked our math and ran the numbers again … and again,’ John Plake, lead researcher for the American Bible Society, wrote in the 2022 report. ‘What we discovered was startling, disheartening, and disruptive.'”

And, I might add, not surprising, at least to me, when I take seriously what Jesus said, in Matthew 24:10, about the conditions leading up to His return: “And at that time (the so-called “Tribulation”), many will fall away (from the faith).” Even the apostle Paul spoke about this in II Thessalonians 2:3: “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the coming of Christ) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness (the Antichrist) is revealed, the son of destruction.” Personally, I believe (other Christians disagree) the Lord Jesus Christ will come for His bride, the Church, and then, the Antichrist will be revealed. And yet, before he comes, I also believe many Christians will fall away from the faith, stop going to church, praying and reading the Bible, all of which we are now seeing in record numbers. The prophet Daniel also spoke about this in Daniel 8:12, “And on account of transgression (sin) the host (the Jews) will be given over to the horn (Antiochus Epiphanes, a shadow of the Antichrist) along with the regular sacrifice; and it (Antiochus) will fling truth to the ground and perform its will and prosper.”

And so, when we begin to see “truth thrown to the ground” in record numbers which is happening right before our eyes, we know that the Antichrist is coming. And, before Him, Jesus Christ. So, dearly beloved in Christ, our marching orders are the same: Watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please, before it is too late, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior, Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24), Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16). This headline, from “Live Science,” caught my eye this morning: “Potentially hazardous asteroid twice the size of the Empire State Building will skim past Earth Thursday,” NASA says. I would add: “Lord willing, it will skim past Earth Thursday.” Check out Revelation 8:8 where the apostle John wrote: “The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.” An asteroid? Stay tuned!

Then, there were these three “war headlines”:

#1. Russia’s Lavrov warns of “real” danger of World War III (The Times of Israel).

#2. Turkey Escalating Aggression against Greece: 90 Overflights in One Day (Gatestone Institute)

#3. Four Soldiers killed; 3 others wounded in an Israeli missile attack on Syria last night (Israel AM)

Keep in mind, both Russia and Turkey (Beth-togarmah) are mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39 and will be destroyed by the Lord God Himself. And, Damascus, the capital of Syria, will “be removed from being a city and will become a fallen ruin (Isaiah 17:1).” Stay tuned, as we could actually see some of these prophecies fulfilled in our lifetime.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, these are both exciting and scary times to be alive, as we wait and look for our “blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13). So, let us continue to “fix our eyes on Him” (Hebrews 12:2) while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for and walking with Jesus until He comes.
