Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and warm (64 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 35 robins, 6 blackbirds, 5 doves, 2 crows, 2 finches, 2 grackles, a bunny, a cardinal and a dog! Thank You, Jesus!
Over the last 24 hours, according to the USGS, there were 8 earthquakes (5.6, 4.3, 4.3, 4.2, 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, 3.8) off the coast of Oregon. Stay tuned!
This recent headline, from the Defender, caught my eye this morning: “WEF Launches ‘Metaverse’ Initiative, Predicts Digital Lives Will Become ‘More Meaningful to Us Than Our Physical Lives.'”
Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D. reported: “The World Economic Forum (WEF) and major corporations, following talks at last month’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, launched a new initiative: ‘Defining and Building the Metaverse. As the initiative’s name implies, its stakeholders are still in the process of defining exactly what the term ‘metaverse’ means.
However, according to the WEF, in part, the Metaverse involves a moment ‘at which our digital lives – our online identities, experiences, relationships, and assets – become more meaningful to us than our physical lives.'”
One person involved in the talks, Julia Goldin, LEGO’s chief product and marketing officer expressed optimism about how the metaverse could aid in child development: ‘To us, the priority is to create a world in which we can give kids all the benefits of the metaverse – one with immersive experiences, creativity and self-expression at its core – in a way that is also safe, protects their rights and promotes their well-being.” Note: Just like the vaccines were supposed to do.
In the Book of Revelation, the apostle John, tells us of a coming “one-world government,” a “one-world religion” and a “one-world economy” which sounds so good, but is so evil because it’s all about man and not about God, although one of its goals will be for man to become God, aka, transhumanism which, by the way, was Satan’s desire (Genesis 3:1-5; Isaiah 14:12-14).
So, whatever you do, do not trust man; trust God and agree with Him you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And, if you are already a believer in Jesus, get ready for tougher times and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. Blessings, Doug (6/16/22)
