This morning, I saw this headline from Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries: “The Slippery Slope to Tyranny!” In the article, Jan wrote: “The world is groaning in every category, and it lacks a leader. Biden, Macron, Trudeau, et al, have all demonstrated behavior that resembles the Keystone Kops. So what’s ahead?

I hear from a lot of people! Here are some of the scenarios they see playing out in the near term. They can’t all be right, but here’s a brief run-down of what many suggest is ahead of us. You may disagree with one or all points, but millions of people believe one of the following scenarios will play out.

1. A great awakening is coming. A tremendous revival. The days of Joel 2:28 are coming when God pours out His Spirit upon all people. This will precede the Rapture of the Church.
2. God is long suffering and patient and wants all to be saved, thus we have decades left to share the gospel and rescue the lost. Let’s occupy until He comes and not be so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good. We’ve heard about the Lord’s return for decades, yet nothing happens.
3. In America, the forthcoming elections in 2022 and 2024 are going to turn America around. We can and will make America great again. Prosperity will return. Life will go back to normal. With the right people in office, earthly government works.
4. The church is being perfected and tried by fire. But she will prevail and will correct the problems on this planet, fulfilling “On earth as it is in Heaven.” The church will have dominion over the whole earth and then Christ can return (Kingdom Now/Dominion Theology).
5. Jan: “Sorry, folks, but points one through four are not what I (Jan) see and I (Doug) agree are outlined in the Bible! World governments are in a predicted state of collapse thanks to the meddling of the globalists. They are causing instability, famine, war, poverty, and obsessing on ‘fake news’ called ‘climate change.'”
6. Doug: Actually, there is a great revival coming, but not until the 144,000 Jewish evangelists (Revelation 7) are sent by God into the world to preach the gospel of the kingdom which will result in “a great multitude, which no one can count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb (Jesus).”
7. And, for those of you who are praying and longing for revival, the apostle Paul reminds us there will be a great “falling away from the faith or apostasy” before the Antichrist appears (II Thessalonians 2:1-4). Question: “Would you know him if you saw him?” He is a “man of peace, but not the Prince of Peace. So, don’t be fooled.
8. Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, Jesus is coming! And, as usual, we are to watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Him until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (61 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 3 deer and the heavens declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)! Thank You Jesus!

Today’s headline, from the Gatestone Institute, was concerning, but not surprising: “Biden Drops More Crucial Demands to Get Iran Nuclear Deal.”

In the article, Khaled Abu Toameh reported: “First, (President) Biden decided to waive the demand to include the role of Iran’s terrorists in the region in the talks (in Vienna). … Biden decided not to address this issue at all, nor the role of terrorist militias affiliated with Iran in the Arab countries.” – Sayed Zahra, deputy editor of the Gulf’s Akbhar Al-Khalleej, August 20, 2022.

The second demand Biden gave up, according to Zahra, includes the issue of Iran’s ballistic missile program, and the threat it poses to the security and stability of the region, the US itself and its interests. The issue is not whether the agreement is signed or not…. There is something more dangerous than this: Biden has completely abandoned the Arabs, allies and non-allies alike.” – Sayed Zahra, August 20, 2022.”

Let me remind you again, from Scripture (Ezekiel 38-39), the Lord will take care of Russia, Iran, Turkey and the other nations who invade Israel “to capture spoil and to seize plunder (38:12)” which, according to verse 13, will include: “silver, gold, cattle and goods (wealth).” In other words, Israel will, at sometime in the future, have resources which the invading nations need and want. Note: As I think about this, the devastation of the present war between Russia and Ukraine could just be what leads Russia and the other invaders to Israel to fulfill the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39. Stay tuned!

Yes, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, these are exciting and scary times. Remember, in Matthew 24: 6, Jesus told His disciples that, before His return, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation (ethnos in the Greek, from which we get the word “ethnic”) will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs (pains).”

I like to think of the time in which we now live as, perhaps, a “first trimester” of the birth pains. And, if that is true (and I could be wrong), then, at sometime in the future, there may be a second and third trimester where the “signs” which Jesus gave His disciples then and now will not only increase in frequency and intensity, but, be “off the charts!” For example, right now, most of the daily earthquakes I see, on the USGS website, are “minor” (3.0-3.9) or “light.” (4.0-4.9) with an occasional “moderate” (5.0-5.9) quake. In fact, over the last 24 hours, there have been 3 “minor” (3.1, 3.4, 3.7) quakes, 11 “light” (4.2, 4.3 (2), 4.4 (4), 4.5 (2). 4.7, 4.9) quakes and 3 “moderate” (5.1 (2), 5.5) quakes. So, based on Jesus’ words, I am thinking that, as we get closer to His return, we will be seeing or hearing of more “strong” (6.0-6.9) to major (7.0-7.9 quakes and, eventually, “great earthquakes” (8.0+) which you can read about in Revelation 6:12-17, 11:7-13 and 16:17-21. Stay tuned!

And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, I wonder: “What will it take for you to become one?” Please check out the signs Jesus gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. Then, watch the news and see if any of what Jesus said would happen is happening. Now I don’t know about you, but I know nothing about the so-called “Metaverse.” However, I became deeply concerned about it when I saw this headline from a recent Technocracy News and Trends: “Warning: The Metaverse Is A Grave Danger To Child Development.”

In the article, the TNT staff wrote: “The future of the Metaverse is so big that Mark Zuckerberg changed the name of Facebook to Meta. Gaming and educational tech companies are racing to hook children as young as three years old (sounds like another vaccine to me) into a virtual world that will literally re-write brain functions, warping reality and tricking them into experiences that cannot be distinguished from reality. Parents be warned! Keep your children out of virtual reality.”

Here’s some real reality from the Bible (Romans 3:23, 24): “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.” No matter what the so-called “experts,” say, and, despite their attempts to become like God, they will fail miserably because, there is only one true God Who has revealed Himself to us as a Trinity: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit! Please know that everyone will, one day, stand before God Who will either be Your Savior or Judge. We read of God’s heart in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Jesus is our only way to heaven (John 14:6). So, please, if you haven’t already done so – agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life . This August 15th headline, from Dr. Joseph Mercola, caught my eye this morning: “United Nations Penalizes Criticisms Against Elitist Takeover.”

In the article, Dr. Mercola wrote: “Coordinated censorship is occurring globally. In response to the growing truth movement that warns against a totalitarian, tyrannical takeover, the United Nations has now declared war on ‘conspiracy theories’ that suggest world governments are anything but honest and ethical, and have published a comprehensive guide on how to debunk and strike down claims to the contrary. According to the U.N., a story only qualifies as truthful if ‘the sources are backed by fact-checking sites’ – which we now know are all bought and paid for by the cabal that is conspiring to create a One World Government through a ‘Great Reset.'”

Here’s another provocative and, perhaps prophetical, headline from the July 20th Technocracy News and Trends: “The Growing Hubris of Pandemic and the Great Panic of 2020.” The TN Editor reported: “Experimental mRNA injections promoted to a global citizenry has common goals with the Transhuman movement to genetically modify humanity to create bioweapons. Both are interested in population reduction. Both are deep rabbit holes. Both spark horrific reactions from people when they discover the existence and implications of these programs.”

Both of these stories remind those of us who are truly “born-again” believers in Jesus that He is coming which means, according to Revelation 13-18, the world leaders will lead us towards a one-world government under the Antichrist, a one-world religion under the “false prophet” and a one-world economy under richest of the rich (Revelation 13-18) who are not only out to rule the world, but also to become ‘gods’ who will control the population which, believe it or not, they are doing through their “experimental gene therapies” (not vaccines) which are killing and injuring millions.

Jesus said, in Matthew 24:34-39, “Truly I say to you this generation will not pass away, but My words will not pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man (Jesus) will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man (Jesus) be.” And, in verse 42, Jesus also said: “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.”

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, we will not know the day or the hour of Jesus’ return, but, we should be able to recognize the “season” of His return by watching the “signs” He gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 which, He said, will come on us like “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8) and increase with frequency and intensity as we get closer to His return. So, stay tuned and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. This sad and recent, but not surprising, headline, from The Christian Post, got my attention: “Two-thirds of younger adults with a commitment to Christ don’t attend church: survey.”

In the article, Christian Post Reporter Ian M. Giatti wrote: “A strong majority of Generation Z and Millennials who say they have made a personal commitment to Christ do not attend church in person or online at least once a month, according to a new study. Gen Z is defined as those ages 10 to 25 in 2021, while Millennials were defined as ages 26 to 41.”

So, “what’s the big deal you might ask?” The big deal is: Hebrews 10:19-25 which says: “Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He (Jesus) inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling, as is the habit of some (many today), but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

And, what “day” would that be? The answer: “The coming of Christ.” And, while it is true, we will not know the “day or the hour” of Christ’s return (Mark 13:32), we should be able to recognize the “season of His return” by observing the signs Jesus gave us in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 which I have written about in my book, “Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy.” And, if you’re interested, I have also written four other books: “When Thorns Remain,” an autobiography with some prolonged health issues I have dealt with and how God’s grace has seen me through them; “I Trust You Know,” a journal of my morning prayers; “Laughing with Luke,” a humorous look at the gospel of Luke; and, “Acting with Luke,” a Bible study of the first 14 chapters of Luke. Before, I continue my blog on the “Swan Takeover,” let me give you another concerning headline from today’s Reuters: “China to send troops to Russia for ‘Vostok’ exercise.” In the article, the Reuters staff reported: “Chinese troops will travel to Russia to take part in joint military exercises led by the host and including India, Belarus, Mongolia, Tajikistan and other countries,” China’s defense ministry said on Wednesday. The article continued: “China’s participation in the joint exercises was ‘unrelated to the current international and regional situation,’ the ministry said in a statement.'” And, Jesus said, in Matthew 24:6, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of war.” Stay tuned!

Okay, back to the “Swan Takeover.” Dr. Hope wrote: “The collaboration between key leaders in the United States and China has become more apparent. For example, the Biden administration gave up Bagram (Air Force Base) , which helped the Taliban and ultimately the Chinese, to 82 billion in US equipment paid for by you and me, the American taxpayers. I detailed this further in my book, ‘Ivermectin for Freedom,’ where I quoted Dr. Li-Meng Yan, who defected from China and reported that China had released COVID-19 as an unrestricted bioweapon on the U.S. I further explained how certain factions within the US had colluded with China to facilitate this.

General (McInerny) continues: “And so quickly you start seeing in Kindergarten through 12th grade and college – critical race theory, this Marxist ideology, to divide the country on color. And, you’re seeing it at the Service Academies where CRT is now a prioritized part of schooling at the Air Force Academy, resulting in pilot training time being cut and students sitting through sensitivity training and the like instead. And, the General) adds, ‘Lawlessness in the major cities … all to create turbulence, to confuse people, so as not to understand what is going on.” And, Jesus said, in Matthew 24:12, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold,” including their love for Christ which the apostle Paul wrote about , in II Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the “Day of the Lord”) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness (the antichrist) is revealed.”

So, you might be wondering, as I was, “Where did the name “the Swan” come from? The answer: “Former President Donald Trump.” Dr. Hope explains: “The Swan refers to the corruption of our intelligence and military agencies. It explains why General Milley privately reassured Chinese generals that he would not follow an order from Trump to attack them until he first warned them (really?) – an act of treason – and was never charged. Milley’s staff admitted the communication to Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army of China as published in the book “Peril.” Yet, no legal action was ever taken against Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

General McInerny lays the blame on former President Obama who he said, “in his eight years, corrupted the Department of Justice and the FBI.” Oh, and one more tidbit: “The General ties the Swan and the Pandemic together, saying, “So you see, all of a sudden, all this is rolled into one and synergized. It supports their efforts to diminish the US in our superpower status. What have we done to implement the pressure on Russia to back out of Ukraine? We have done little. And President Biden has not gone over to Ukraine – his wife did, but he didn’t.” How sad and pathetic we have become as a nation! End of the story for now.

So, what are we, as Christians to do, as our country continues to slide into oblivion? Our marching orders are the same – to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23) into the battle for the souls of men, women and children to the glory of God. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). This is now the fourth day I have been writing about the so-called “Swan Takeover.” Today, I will be giving you some of the names of the participants in this “takeover.”

Dr. Hope continues his article: “In late 2019, COVID-19 struck, released deliberately from Wuhan Virology Lab Number 4 in Wuhan, China. It went global. But the primary focus was on the U.S., making it look like a pandemic. And unfortunately supported by CDC (Center for Disease Control), Dr. Anthony Fauci, in funding the gain of function as we later found out … and it turns out President Obama had approved gain of function funding just prior to departing his administration.

If one reviews the news releases for January 19, 2017, just days BEFORE then President-elect Donald J. Trump took office, one can see that the good General (McInerny) is correct, that then-President Obama had, in fact, cleared the way for the ongoing gain of function research under the Obama-Biden Administration of early January 2017. General McInerny said, “Right after the (2020 presidential) election the first thing President Biden did was he canceled our independence on energy which immediately started to fuel hyperinflation. Once inflation started spreading, it was also a signal for Russia to go into Ukraine. Simultaneously he (President Biden) canceled the restrictions the US had on the pipeline that goes from Moscow to Germany. And then immediately, we’ve seen open borders. In the first year of Biden’s administration, we’ve seen over 2 million illegals come into the United States, which will have long-term implications for funding, housing, etc.”

And, one more important paragraph before I sign off today. General McInerny said: “You’re starting to see a series of issues. The surrender in Afghanistan – it was a deliberate surrender … and we gave up a very important strategic base called Bagram that has an impact on anything that China does – because that base with US stealth aircraft is an hour from China and would be A DETERRENT FROM ACTIONS ON TAIWAN.” Note: Verrry interesting in light of the recent Chinese threats on Taiwan.

Good morning, blog readers, from sunny and cool (59 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 4 cranes, 2 dogs, a crow, a dove, a duck, a robin, a seagull and, for the first time, a hummingbird! Thank You, Jesus!

Over the last two days, I have been writing about the “Swan Takeover,” an attempt by our government to take down our armed forces through forced vaccinations which are really not vaccines, but “experimental gene therapies” which can kill and are killing and injuring millions of men, women and children around the world and in the U.S. as part of the “Great Reset” and “culling” of the population.

The article by Dr. Justus R. Hope, continues: “General Rod Bishop, former Commander 3rd Air Force in Europe, explains: “There is no other way to explain to define this than a purge of Christians, a purge of critical thinkers. Because these are the people being asked to leave. And we are weakening those who remain by damaging them with a mandatory ill-advised jab causing myocarditis, blood clots, immune suppression, demyelinating disease, fertility issues and related conditions which have been well-documented by DMED, the Department of Defense’s database on vaccine injuries.

Compared with the five-year baseline period 2016 through 2020, the DMED data on these COVID-19 mandatory military vaccinations show the following increases in the first ten months of 2021 in young and fit military people: Heart attacks up 269%, Pericarditis up 175%, Myocarditis up 285%, Pulmonary Embolism up 467%, Stroke, Bells Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancers up 250-350%.

Sadly, Dr. Hope also reported: “Moreover, the Secretary of Defense and the top US military leadership is aware that our military readiness has been gravely weakened, yet continues this policy. As a result, our national security has been compromised. … The result is that we are more vulnerable than ever to attacks by China or Russia, which begs the question, ‘Why would the Department of Defense knowingly continue to force these ‘vaccine’ mandates in the face of such damage – not only to the personnel, but to our nation’s security?”

Interestingly enough, this morning, I (Doug) saw this headline from Reuters: “Russia says it has ‘no need’ to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.” Note: It said nothing about not using nukes in the USA.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ, He is coming! And, even though I believe in a pre-trib Rapture, I do believe we will still be around for tougher times even before that. So, we need to “be on the alert” (Mark 13:33, 35, 37), keep our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, you can become one by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is is Jesus Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life and a place in heaven (John 3:16; 14:1-6). Yesterday, I began to tell you about the “Swan Takeover” and how “our armed forces are in trouble,” as reported by Three Star Lt. General Thomas McInerny who has served in both the Army and the Air Force. Dr. Justus Hope, the writer of this article’s pseudonym, reported: “McInerny has witnessed a rapid deterioration in our service academy programs. The best and brightest of our new fighter pilots are being discharged for failing to submit to the experimental COVID-19 vaccinations. Moreover, many of those who submit to the jab are getting sick and developing career-ending medical issues, including myocarditis,” which, for those who don’t know, like me, is an inflammation of the heart muscle.

The article continues: “Major General Paul Vallely, a graduate of West Point and former Pacific Commanding Deputy General, expounded, “General Bishop told me they may lose 354 pilots out of the military because of what’s going on. However, that has all been thrown out the window with the current leadership. They are no longer paying huge bonuses for Air Force pilots to remain; instead they are forcing those talented, critically-thinking pilots to leave if they should exercise their constitutional right to a religious exception or decline vaccination on Constitutional grounds.” If one did not know better, one might conclude the military is intentionally weakening their own organization. But maybe that is not so far-fetched.”

Wow! Wow! Wow! How sad that, while China and Russia are building up their military, we are in the process of tearing ours apart. Now, I believe (and I could be wrong), based on my reading of Scripture and prophecy, that God Himself will destroy Russia, Iran and a host of other nations who invade Israel at sometime in the future (Ezekiel 38, 39) and China and the other “kings from the east” at Armageddon (Revelation 16:12-16;19:11-21). So the question remains: “What about America? The only clue that I have is from Ezekiel 38:13 which tells us that, when Russia and her allies invade Israel, there is only a weak protest from “Sheba, Dedan with all its villages (KJV: “with all the young lions”) which some commentators believe are references to Saudi Arabia, western Europe and, possibly, the United States. And, if that is true, it tells us that the USA is no longer a “superpower,” but a weak and “wimpy” shadow of what once was, but is no longer, as we are seeing in this article.

So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ while watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, please agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (63 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk in a mist, I saw: 2 robins and a cardinal! Thank You, Jesus!

This headline, from the (8/9/22) desert review, caught my eye and made me angry: “US Military under attack – Generals warn of the Swan Takeover.”

Dr. Justus R. Hope wrote: “United States generals are revered as the best of the best, the Top Guns of our military, and our nations leaders. Generals are those who lead our defense during times of war. They command our Naval, Air, Army, and Coast Guard forces, and when they succeed, our nation wins. However, when these generals sound the alarm and notify the citizens that our armed forces are in trouble, we had better listen. Because without a strong military and the generals who lead it, our country’s sovereignty is in peril.

Three Star Lt. General Thomas McInerny, a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point, was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army. As if the Army wasn’t enough, he then joined the Air Force, where he learned how to fly F-4 jets and thus became a fighter pilot. Like the movie Top Gun, after McInerny became an F-4C aircraft commander in 1964, he became an instructor at F-4 Fighter Weapons School, Nellis Air Force Base. Later he was transferred to the Directorate of Operational Requirements at Air Force Headquarters, where he participated in high-level study groups involving air-to-air missile requirements and F-15 fighter jets.

Thus, General McInerny knows a thing or two about training jet fighter pilots. He has gone public because his advice to the modern military leadership has fallen on deaf ears. McInerny has witnessed a rapid deterioration in our service academy programs. The best and brightest of our new fighter pilots are being discharged for failing to submit to the experimental COVID-19 vaccinations. Moreover, many of those who submit to the jab are getting sick and developing career-ending medical issues.

Air Force pilot Lt. John Bowes echoed this and spoke from the personal experience of multiple pilots that are suffering from myocarditis, saying, ‘I know of personally more than 700 pilots who are actively unvaccinated and have filed a religious accommodation or have filed for a medical exemption or something of the sort,’ Bowes said.”

Wow! How sad! And, shame on us as a nation for not protecting our military and, I might add, our local military, the police departments, who are going through a similar situation. And yet, I see this all as part of the scenario leading up to the Lord’s return which He told us about, in Matthew 24:7-12; Mark 13:7-13; Luke 21:9, 10 which will be preceded by “wars and rumors of war, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom and, get this, “an increase in lawlessness” which we are now seeing big time in this country and around the world.

Lord willing, I will continue my article tomorrow and give you more of the sad details of what is going on with our military and country which should not come as a surprise to us, as Christians. So, let me ask you, “Are you a Christian?” And, how did you become one? Because it has nothing to do with going to church, getting baptized, taking communion, being confirmed or giving money to the church. As Paul said, in Ephesians 2:8, 9: “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” God be with you till we meet again!
