Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cold (20 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk with about 3 inches of fresh snow, I did not see any of God’s creatures, but was thankful I was still able to walk. Thank You, Jesus!
And, thank you to my sister in Christ who, in her blog, reminded me of Proverbs 3:5, 6 which, in the NASB, is translated: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Praying for you all to have “straight paths in Christ” today to the glory of God. Love in Christ, Doug (2/16/25)
I am a retired pastor who has written six books, all of which, except for "When Thorns Remain" which is an autobiography of my health and faith struggles over the last 40+ years and God's grace to sustain me through them, "I Trust You Know" which is about the sovereignty of God and my continued physical and spiritual struggles revealed through my daily devotions over a period of the nine months from where my previous book left off, "Laughing with Luke," a humorous look at the Gospel of Luke and Acting with Luke," a Bible study of Acts 1-14, "Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy and "Discernment" which is much needed in our churches today. All my books, except for the first one, are available on Amazon.
