WHOSE TELLING the TRUTH??

Good morning, blog readers, from partly cloudy and cool (49 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer, a dog and Venus shining brightly! Thank You, Jesus!

Years ago, in one of his books, Pastor Rick Warren quoted Jesus telling His disciples: “Bible prophecy is none of our business,” despite the fact that John wrote, in Revelation 19:10, “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” So, if Warren is right, then Jesus is “none of our business!” I don’t know about you, but I’m going with Jesus Who is, not only the “the spirit of prophecy,” but also “the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).” So, if Jesus tells me, as He did His disciples, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 that, before His return, there will be “false Christs, false prophets, false miracles, wars and rumors of war, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines and earthquakes in various places, persecution of the believers in Jesus, even unto death, apostasy in the church, an increase in lawlessness and the gospel of the kingdom being preached in the whole world, I believe Jesus and expect to see some, maybe all, of the “signs of the Lord’s return,” perhaps in my lifetime increase in frequency and intensity like “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8), as Jesus said they would.

So, here’s a couple of headlines which could easily be prophetical:

#1. North Korea’s Kim vows full support for Russia’s ‘just fight’ after viewing launch pads with Putin.” Read Ezekiel 38-39 which is all about a Russian leader and other nations, including Iran, going down to Israel to “take a spoil,” only to be destroyed by the Lord God Himself.

#2. Around 10,000 people are thought to be missing following floods in Libya, an official from the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Societies said. See Luke 21:25, 26.

#3. Villagers in parts of Morocco devastated by the biggest earthquake in over a century camped outside for a fourth night, as the death toll rose to more than 2,800 people. See Matthew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11.

#4. China is bolstering its air power along the coast facing Taiwan with a permanent deployment of new fighters and drones at expanded air bases.” Both China and North Korea could be part of the “kings from the east” which march to Megiddo for war, only to be defeated by the Lord Jesus Himself (Revelation 16:12-16; 19:11-21).

Dearly beloved in Christ, please stay tuned and keep watching, waiting, working, witnessing for, walking with and worshiping Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, please become one today by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) and believe He died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (I Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:16).
