Good morning, blog readers, from dark and cool (54 degrees) New Jersey where yesterday on my walk, I saw: 10 squirrels, 6 dogs and 4 ducks!
Martin Luther, in his hymn, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” has a line about Satan which is a favorite of mine: “He knows his doom is sure; one little word shall fell him.”
As Christians, we know his doom is sure. And yet, we also know, from Scripture, that Satan (aka, the devil) will not go down without a fight. In fact, I can think of three current worldwide attacks of his which are happening now and will continue to happen which have not only had a dramatic effect upon the world, but also will continue to do so until Jesus returns: Pandemics, UFOs and Climate Engineering, all of which I personally believe the governments of this world, including our own, are responsible for.
Paul, in Ephesians 6:12-13, reminds us, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Our solution is found in verse 11, “Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Satan ramping up his activity is simply another sign of the Lord’s return. So, dearly beloved in Christ, let us continue to watch, wait, work, witness for, walk with and worship Jesus until He comes. And, if you are not a believer in Jesus, you can become one right now by agreeing with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16).
