Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (60 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: 4 robins, 2 bunnies, a cardinal, a dear and a dog! Thank You, Jesus!
This morning, I saw this headline from EarthSky: “Did giant meteorite create the continents?”
In the article, posted by Kelly Kizer Whitt, Kelly wrote: “Earth has been around for some 4.5 billion years. Our recent history has been quiet, with most meteor ‘strikes’ coming in the form of space dust that filters down through our atmosphere, resulting in fleeting streaks of light in our sky. But during our planet’s first billion years or so, meteorites of all sizes bombarded the young Earth. A team of scientists from Curtin University announced on August 11, 2022, evidence that a giant meteorite impacts on early Earth created the continents we know today.”
What do I believe? I believe: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Need a second opinion? The apostle Paul wrote, in Colossians 1:13-17: “For He (God) rescued us from the dominion of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son (Jesus), in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He (Jesus) is the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him (Jesus) all things were created, both in the heavens and on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Amen!
So, let me ask you a question: “Have you been rescued by God the Father from the darkness and been transferred to the kingdom of His beloved Son?” If not, then agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). And now, as a believer in Jesus, join the other believers in the battle for truth by “putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17), denying yourself and taking up your cross and following Jesus today” (Luke 9:23) and until He comes to the glory of God. Blessings, Doug (8/12/22)
Amen
