THE MINORS to the MAJORS?

Good morning, blog readers, from cloudy and cool (27 degrees) Wisconsin where, on my morning walk, I saw: a deer! Thank You, Jesus!

In baseball, as well as in other sports, it is a big deal to go from the “minors to the majors.” And, I find it most interesting that, according to the USGS (United States Geological Survey) which charts earthquakes, a “very minor” earthquake is anything from a 2.0-2.9 on the Richer Scale, a “minor” (3.0-3.9), a “light” (4.0-4.9). a “moderate” (5.0-5.9), a “strong” (6.0-6.9), a “major” (7.0-7.9) and a “great” (8.0+).

Interestingly enough (one of my favorite expressions), over the last 24 hours, there have been: 18 earthquakes (2.5-4.3) in 9 different states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas. And, what is even more interesting is that the one in Missouri (2.5) was on the Mississippi River and the New Madrid Fault Line where, in 1811 and 1812, there were 3 quakes, estimated (because the Richter Scale wasn’t invented until 1935) at 7.3, 7.5 and 7.5. So, there is a possibility that all these “minor quakes” could be a “sign of things to come.” Remember, Jesus said, in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 that, one of the “birth pains” (Matthew 24:) leading up to His return, would be “earthquakes in various places.” So, stay tuned, dearly beloved in Christ, and watch for larger earthquakes and the other “signs” Jesus gave us to increase in frequency and intensity, as we get closer to His return.

And, if you are still not a believer in Jesus, I wonder, “What will it take for you to become one?” Maybe, you’re a “doubting Thomas” who wants to see in order to believe. If so, read Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21or my latest book, “Birth Pains: An Introduction to Bible Prophecy” which will give you “signs” to look for leading up to Jesus’ return. And, above all else, agree with God you are a sinner who needs a Savior Who is Jesus (Romans 3:23, 24) Who died on a cross for your sins, was buried and raised from the dead (I Corinthians 15:1-4) to forgive all your sins and give you eternal life (John 3:16). Please know I love you and am praying for you. Blessings, Doug 12/8/22)
